Skinwear and hosiery specialists Wolford has launched an exclusive capsule collection in collaboration with designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua and his Italian brand No. 21.

N21 x Wolford is a sophisticated celebration of female sensuality, with versatile, effortlessly elegant styles in luxurious, premium fabrics that cling to the skin in all the right places. Featuring bold asymmetrical cuts, exquisite lace embellishments, sharp tailoring and simple but striking contemporary designs that showcase the silhouette, it is perfect for daywear and elegant evenings out alike. Modern silhouettes for «a casual and adaptable day or night essence».

Showcasing the silhouette, the line includes jumpsuits, dresses and bodies embellished with lace motifs or featuring contrasting asymmetrical cuts, crafted from certified 100 percent biodegradable material, alongside leggings, skirts and jumpsuits in soft and stretchy vegan leather. Completing the line-up is a range of tights, bras and briefs.

Wolford’s collaboration with No. 21 follows previous collections with Sergio Rossi, Mugler, Alberta Ferretti, and Amina Muaddi, which have helped boost brand awareness and reach new customers.

It is a fact, the Eighties just won’t go away. This season, it is the acid wash denim that caught my eye.

My ‘it’ item of the season! An all-in-one suit is now your go-to wardrobe solution.

Next season’s partywear diktat is as frou-frou as they come: just add feathers and fringe.

Classy polka dots the transparent way, good girls gone bad!

Live up to the era of the hippie! Rock star and bohemian touches are still found everywhere.

This summer, you’re not fully dressed without a head piece that becomes part of your floral explosions. Wall flowers need not apply.

Have sequins ever ‘not’ been on trend? Perhaps not, but they were so prevalent at the S/S 2019 shows that we can’t ignore them. Personally speaking, I love the take of these designers above that love to work in general with the sparkling fabric. Those looks seem fresh and modern.

I adore Alessandra Rich‘s exquisite gowns that are perfect for any black tie event. Not too long, in fabrics that don’t wrinkle, they offer comfort and great fitted shapes. This embroidered one with shimmering beads and Swarovski crystals is one of my favorites as the stretch-tulle panel elegantly references the season’s conceal-and-reveal trend.

My avid readers know how much I adore Alessandra Rich‘s designs. Her gowns are feminine and sophisticated with an edgy and ironic slant, for me my favorites on the red carpet.

After the Italian born designer had officially launched her eponymous label with her S/S 2010 collection, she has fast become a name synonymous with defined glamour loved by celebrities around the globe. She works from a showroom in London’s Mount Street, where I visited her to get her insider scoop on the British metropole, and an atelier close to Venice. In everyone of her collections, she shows her unique skill for making the elaborate fabrics of lace, ruffles and this S/S 2015 season fringes appear modern and extremely special.

Finally, Evian®‘s newest designer collaboration has hit the stores and you can enjoy your usual water bottle in style. For the seventh time, the brand has teamed up with a designer and for 2014 it’s not other than ELIE SAAB.

Being inspired by common theme of purity, the bottle is decorated with a signature ELIE SAAB lace pattern, that recalls the feminine and elegant designs featured so prominently in the brand’s collections. Elie Saab called his S/S 2014 collection “A LACE GARDEN” and sent the extremely feminine material in all shades over the runway. The Libanese designer is a red carpet favourite and of course he offered a lot of choices for the big moment. His strongest designs are the long gowns, this season definitely a lacy affair to remember… My favorite is a black see-through dress with layers of lace in between as photographed below.

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli are a dream team and their S/S 2014 collection for Valentino is a divine piece of art (You can still watch the video here).

Like last season, when I had been already overwhelmed by their designs, they showed craftsmanship, sophistication, elegance and beauty in their 72 (!) looks on the runway. After an impromptu visit to the Rome Opera workshops, the duo was compelled to create a glamourous and opulent repertoire. The collection is a journey admits elements borrowed from imaginary ethnic groups. Embroideries, lace, capes, ponchos, fringes, leather, veil-like dresses, take all part in this outstanding collection.

Combining ancestral austerity and sensual opulence, the designer duo has created an amazing and ever-changing look based on today’s modern woman that we will surely spot everywhere on the streets next summer!

Tory Burch referenced Romy Schneider in La Piscine and came up with a beautiful vintage vibe for S/S 2014. Inspired by the late 1960s, the pretty looks that came down the blue pool-like runway at New York Fashion Week last Tuesday, offered luxurious lace and florals, outstanding embroideries, botanical prints and needless to say, Tory’s iconic statement accessories.

Personally speaking, being so ultra-feminine, elegant and wearable, it is one of her best collections to date.
