Summer Bucket Hats

The bucket hat has perhaps had one of the biggest fashion glow-ups in the accessories market. Personally speaking, I love this relaxed style that has become a summer must-have for me, easy to pack and very lightweight, much easier than a big straw hat that hardly fits in your suitcase.

High-fashion brands, like Celine, Etro and Kate Spade took the bucket hat to the S/S 2021 runway, showing how trendy it is.

There’s no one way to wear a bucket hat anymore, as the style is as brilliant paired with a mesh beach cover-up as it is with a luxurious tropical print dress. Below you can find my favorites.

My Look: Retro Prints

After a year of mostly being stuck at home, we are all craving for bright colors, and vibrant prints. In fact, all things retro have had a big influence on fashion and personally speaking I adore Emilio Pucci’s swimwear collections that are very reminiscent of the ’60s and ’70s. Those kaleidoscopic patterns make me feel like being at a Mediterranean getaway immediately.

My look: Lilly-print silk-georgette maxi cape dress, Lilly-print stretch-jersey face coveringicon, Lilly-print bikini top, mid-rise Lilly-print bikini briefsicon, and matching Lilly-print cotton-voile short sarongicon, all by Emilio Pucci, Mon Tresor mini leather-trimmed mesh bucket bagicon by Fendi, snake-effect leather platform sandalsicon by Miu Miu, glass-beaded hoop earringsicon, and set of three glass-beaded chokers, both by Etro, Eva aviator-style rose gold-tone sunglasses by Tom Ford, charm bracelet with scissors and flower, and sautoir AirPods necklace by CHANEL, Intrecciato rubber iPhone 12 Pro Max caseicon by Bottega Veneta, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

My Look: Ahoy Capri

Ahoy Capri! I adore this Italian island so much. As one of the Mediterranean’s most glamorous destinations, Capri is famous for many reasons. It has jaw-dropping natural beauty, delicious cuisine and world-class shopping. It’s also a place to see and be seen – there’s a reason why so many celebrities anchor their yachts in Marina Grande, where I took these photos.

My look: Peggy tie-detailed paisley-print linen midi dressicon by Zimmermann, Spin Me Around elaphe sandalsicon by Aquazzura, J’adior Capri striped sweater by Dior (with motifs of the Dior Around the World inspired by sketches of Roman artist Pietro Ruffo), Devotion mini embellished metallic leather toteicon, and plissé sunglassesicon, both by Dolce Gabbana, patchwork face mask by Natasha Zinkolayered silk and multi-stone necklace by Etro, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

Discover Your Inner Child

These quirky-cute, child-like accessories (which are definitely a nostalgic nod to the ’90s) add an extra dose of fun to your outfits. Be the cool kid on the block and delve into a world of playful proportions. With Demna Gvasalia at the helm, Balenciaga retains its unique and innovative approach to fashion and plays a leading role in this trend that is suddenly everywhere.

Lively, Chic and Undeniably Etro

Cardigans are experiencing a resurgence as a key element in the contemporary wardrobe. I personally love Etro’s covetable statement pieces. Lengthy silhouettes suit the moment’s layering obsession when worn like a longline jacket, while the vibrant jacquard prints highlights the brand’s bohemian aesthetic. One thing is for sure, those knitwear pieces will transform even the most minimalist of outfits into a celebration of maximalism, and greats news is most of them are all on sale. Lively, chic and undeniably Etro.

My Look: The First Look

This will be my first look when I am done packing! Comfy yet stylish, Isabel Marant‘s designs are always a great choice when you want to feel cool. After weeks of being in trainers and having broken finger nails, I am so ready to go out after my move. You might think I am crazy but I am a big collector of everything. Therefore we, the moving company and I, do the move in steps which is actually great. For me, the current pandemic is a blessing, I have definitely no fomo (fear of missing out). I am filled with anticipation when everything is over and the world will be my oyster!

My look: Albi draped printed silk crepe de chine midi dressicon, Azale cotton-blend turtleneck sweater, Kressy leather belticon, and Duerto embroidered leather bootsicon, all by Isabel Marant, vintage purple fringed bag with stone embellishment by Etro and  Tank Française 18-karat gold and stainless steel watch by Cartier.

My Look: Morocco Style

Morocco was a constant source of inspiration for Yves Saint Laurent and it shows no signs of stopping for his successor Anthony Vaccarello. His boldly sophisticated blending of Moroccan-inspired elements has resulted in exquisite style. I adore this bohemian silhouette, rich gold tones, and the turban as a finishing touch to incorporate a bit of the beautiful North African country into my wardrobe. As I cannot travel to Morocco, Morocco comes to me. Have a great week!

My look: Cotton-velvet vest, metallic silk and Lurex-blend blouseicon, metallic striped woven tapered pantsicon, Zoe chain-embellished satin pumpsicon, Marrakech cord and silver-tone necklaceicon, Kaia mini leather shoulder bagicon, silk-blend lamé turban, all by Saint Laurent, and gold-tone crystal earrings by Etro.

My Look: Traditional

Today, Munich’s Oktoberfest would be kicking off, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the current pandemic. Personally speaking, visiting the world’s biggest beer festival in my old hometown always marked the beginning of fall for me. I absolutely love wearing those fabulous traditional clothes. Therefore today’s post is dedicated to a loden-style designer look and I truly hope you will like it.

My look: Tyrolean loden jacket, matching loden shorts, and bow-top felted cap, all by Miu Miu, bustier corset top with bows by Dolce & Gabbana, embellished leather pumpsicon by Gucciblack and white grained leather bag with gold-tone metal details by CHANEL, and velvet and gold-tone multi-stone choker by Etro.

My Look: Tropical Meets Apple Tree

With this warm forecast set for September, we will all spend as much time outdoors as possible. Even though we might not be jetting off to some beautiful tropical island, that doesn’t mean we cannot wear those vibrant holiday prints at home. Tropical patterns have been a huge trend this summer. I think they match perfectly with Swiss apple trees and green meadows, don’t you agree?

My look: Juliette strapless knotted tiered printed linen maxi dressicon by Zimmermann, Monogramme fringed leather and jacquard clutchicon by Saint Laurent, red ruffle 90 sandals by Aquazzura, Mary Mare Under The Sun printed cotton-blend hat
