Last week, MCM‘s first flagship store in Europe has opened its doors in Zurich. As you know, I was the host for the Blogger Makeover 2013 photo shoot to celebrate that special occasion and truly enjoyed the party in the evening.
My look: Printed crepe dress and Ruota Carretto gold-plated tasseled clip earrings, both by Dolce & Gabbana, pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps by Saint Laurent, cuff by Stella McCartney and Veronika Isis studded shoulder bag from MCM‘s upcoming F/W 2014 collection.

Yesterday evening, I went to the launch party of SI Style‘s newest magazine edition: STYLE BEAUTY which will be available from today. The event took place at the beautiful Sonnenberg restaurant in Zurich. The room was filled with the who’s who of the Swiss beauty industry.
My look: Emerald green satin wrap-front dress by Lanvin, pound printed modal and cashmere-blend scarf and matching leather clutch, both by Mary Katrantzou, cuff by Stella McCartney, ring by Chanel, filigrane embellished gold-plated necklace by Dolce & Gabbana and Janis white pointy leather pumps 
by Saint Laurent.

Today is a traditional Spring holiday in the city of Zurich, which is called “Sechseläuten” (In Swiss German: Sächsilüüte). Since the early 20th century, it is celebrated on the 3rd Monday of April of every year. Following the parade of the “Zünfte” (guilds), the culmination of this popular tradition is the burning of winter in effigy, in the form of the “Böögg” (cognate to bogey), a figure of a snowman prepared with explosives.
It is said that the time between the lighting of the pyre and the explosion of the Böögg’s head is indicative of the coming summer: a quick explosion promises a warm, sunny one, a drawn-out burning a cold and rainy one. So let’s keep our fingers crossed that this head will be falling off fast today!
As the roots of the festival go back to medieval times, I was inspired to this look: Printed silk-organza midi dress by Dolce & Gabbana, Skull studded leather box clutch by Alexander McQueen, Noeud 120 bow-embellished leather peep-toes by Christian Louboutin and Leonard 2 round-frame acetate sunglasses by Illesteva.

At the moment I am obsessed with braids and biker jackets. The two of them in combination add just the right amount of sweetness and rock allure to every outfit.

Those printed satin sandals by Dolce & Gabbana arrived in my closet this week and it was a true pleasure opening the package. Not only the shoes are beautiful, but also their box and vibrant dust bag. The colors set the mood for a hot, golden summer – I am loving it!
