Last Thursday, I hosted with MCM together an event at their Zurich store to celebrate the brand’s ART OF BACKPACK. Enjoying some fancy cocktails by Campari and listening to the sounds of DJ Jason Storm, guests were able to get their picture taken with a backpack from the Visetos line that features a blue and white diagonal design enhanced with MCM’s logo and gold studs inspired by Zürich’s coat of arms.

Now, the photos are uploaded on MCM‘s Facebook wall. There will only be one lucky winner to receive a backpack and you can choose him or her – vote and like your top look of the season. Scroll through this post to see some more of my favorites at the end of this post!

Debora Zeyrek (diamondphoto.ch) took all the contest photos and I have to say I was impressed how well the gentlemen posed in front of her camera!

For Swiss male supermodel Fabian Pfenninger posing is daily business as you can see.

The girls were already fighting over the Visetos backpack…

No doubt that the cutest of all was little Cosmo!
It was a great night – a huge thank you to Bettina and the whole MCM team!

HAIR CHALKING is the newest craze in temporary hair colour. Add new shades with hair chalk, without the long-term commitment of dying. Right now I am kind of obsessed with rainbow coloured hair. Whether it’s all over, dip-dyed or just one off streaks, you can play around without any serious hair damage.

Last week, I went to the press conference held at the new hair salon Art of Ghel in Zurich where you can get your hair chalked (around CHf 15.00 for the service) or buy the product (each colour CHF 30.00 for 50ml) to do it at home by yourself. All by L’Oréal Professionnel.

How does it work?

Step 1: Every colour and shade of the rainbow is available, so get creative! Just choose your favourite(s). From left to right: Sweet Sixteen Pink (pink), First Date Violet (purple), Blue Ocean Cruise (royal blue), Garden Party (turquoise), Coral Sunset (coral), Coffee Break (light brown), Bronze Beach (gold-bronze) and Black Tie (black).

Step 2: This technique works on any length or depth of base hair colour. The chalk is applied to dry hair.

Step 3: Once the hair is completely drenched in colour, lock it in with the help of a hair dryer.

Try what everyone’s chalking about – I love it! It washes out after 2-4 shampooings.
Art of Ghel in Zurich offers also cool birthday parties for children with hair chalk or other fun beauty treatments. CHF 95.00 per child.

Last Wednesday, Mulberry hosted together with American Express Centurion an intimate event at the store in Zurich. Listening to the sounds of a harp player, guests were invited to observe the exquisite detail and craftsmanship that goes into creating an iconic ALEXA
bag.

On display was the British brand’s newest family member that is part of the F/W 2013 collection: the PRIMROSE, a new take on heritage Mulberry detailing.
Inspired by a vintage bag shape, this softly-rounded satchel is a contrast to the other satchels in the Mulberry collection, yet still loaded with the house’s DNA. It has a structured top handle, cross-body strap and postman’s lock closure – updated exclusively for the Primrose. As opposed to the classic postman’s lock, this one has a side-opening hinge, adding a touch of newness to an iconic piece of Mulberry hardware.
YOU CAN SHOP A LARGE SELECTION OF MULBERRY BAGS HERE.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Hugo Boss has launched an interesting art project with an exhibition at London’s Saatchi Gallery, that will run through September 2013, under the name “Red Never Follows” that showcases different art works by 20 international creatives, inspired by HUGO. To highlight the German brand’s history, the word “Follows” on the key visuals is spelled as “Fol20ws,” and Berlin based artist Steffen Seeger has painted the one line drawing, that stands for the house’s last 20 years.

Last night, he was in Zurich for an interactive art show at the store on Bahnhofstrasse. It was a pleasure to meet Steffen and I was very excited to get my own art work done by him. We partied on the shop’s terrace, while enjoying the beautiful sunshine.
My look: Two-tone stretch-jersey contour dress by Stella McCartney, coral shape heels and patchwork bag, both by Chanel, bracelet by Hermès.

In addition to the exhibition, the brand has launched a line of 20 celebratory fashion items that are available online and in store.

Gosh, it feels so good to be back in Zurich and to dress up again. One week in Iceland with no makeup and fancy clothes has been enough for me. Now, I am ready to bring back some glamour into my life! For a start, I had a fabulous girls’ lunch yesterday in the city…
My look: Striped stretch-silk chiffon top, printed cotton-blend brocade skirt, filigrane embellished gold-plated necklace, bucket bag featuring a floral and face print and matching heels, all by Dolce & Gabbana, ring “Mitzah” by Dior Haute Joaillerie and bangles by Chanel and Rasoir sunglasses by Miu Miu.

Switzerland has a new beauty oasis, a very urban one: ease DESIGN SPA. A paradise in the city with a vibrant vibe, located in Zurich-West on the first floor of Puls 5. Of course, it doesn’t have this typical zen ambiance but that is on purpose. I enjoyed the facial treatment to funky music in a relaxing ambiance created by award-winning interior designers Dyer-Smith Frey very much.
The highly qualified team offers top quality service and a bundle of experience along with the comfort of a spa in the city.

Ease DESIGN SPA works with SALIN de BIOSEL from Italy. All products and treatments have been designed to be personalised “à la carte”. How does this work? By adding precious components aimed to solve your specific beauty problem, like a unique cosmetic recipe, you enjoy a treatment made exclusively to suit your skin needs.

Everything at ease DESIGN SPA is easy, even the online booking service. I hope that you will feel as much at ease as I did.

I just got back from Florence for a quick stopover before heading off for one month to China and had a lovely lunch at the Jules Verne Panorama Bar with the H&M Switzerland team. The view over the city of Zurich up there is breathtaking.
My look: Safari-print cutout cotton shirt
(40% off) and matching skirt (50% off), both by Carven, white ‘Duffle 6’ bag and Janis leather pumps, both by Saint Laurent, earrings by Chanel and floral sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana.

Saturday one week ago, before I left for Cannes, we had finally one beautiful radiant day in Zurich. No need to tell you how frustrated I am regarding the weather as most of you feel the same way. I have so many gorgeous summer outfits and never the chance to wear them. Enjoying the sunshine outside at Seerose restaurant followed by a casual dinner at a friend’s house, I went for an all white look with some colourful accessories.
My look: Embroidered ‘Sicilia’ tank top, white skinny jeans, Ruota Carretto gold-plated tasseled clip earrings, sunglasses
and bucket bag, all by Dolce & Gabbana, Tank Américaine in yellow gold with diamonds by Cartier, bangles and ring by Chanel, green suede sandals by Miu Miu.

This week was very busy and exciting for me. MCM opened their first European flagship store in Zurich and to celebrate the occasion I was asked to be the blogger host for the MCM Blogger Makeover 2013. Together with MCM, Sandra’s Closet invited their favourite Swiss bloggers for a fun photo shoot in the studio of Christian Dietrich, followed by the opening party in the evening at the new shop, located at Münsterhof.

Stay tuned for the upcoming post when the official photos will be revealed and to see who was part of the event. Below are some behind the scenes shots that lovely Gray took of me. Thank you to MCM and everyone who participated in the shoot!
LoL, Sandra

I love what I do and that makes me happy. If you find the thing you really enjoy doing, work will not be work anymore, it will become pleasure. Sandra’s Closet is my passion, my addiction and my daily dose of fulfillment. I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy posting it.
Here you see me on my way to one of my favourite sushi places in Zurich: GINGER. I included some photos of my beloved dishes below.
