My Look: Jurassic World

Sandra_Bauknecht_Jurassic_World_Saint_laurent_Dinosaur_Jacket_Gucci_Sandals

«Dino Cool» – the hype and success of Jurassic World hit the catwalk. Combined with one of the oldest dyeing techniques (with first traces found in ancient Egypt) that was popular in the 70’s, tie dye, it creates a cool look. The cherry on the cake is Marc Jacobs‘ eye-catching take on the American Flag. Perfect for me as I am leaving to New York today… stay tuned.

My look: Embellished striped wool and linen-blend and leather bomber jacket and tie-dyed cotton-jersey T-shirt, both by Saint Laurent, black jeans by Dolce & Gabbana,
embroidered denim clutch by Marc Jacobsicon, embellished metallic leather sandals and aviator-style metal sunglasses, both by Gucci.

Trend S/S 2016: Stars and Stripes

Stars_Stripes_SS2016

This summer, nobody can say they couldn’t find a cool «Fourth of July» outfit to show their patriotism. All the facets of American stars-and-stripes flags and their iconic colors were seen on the S/S 2016 runways. Finally we can show our love for the US with style in cashmere and not in a cheap polyester costume. I am totally hooked.

From left to right: Red and white star intarsia cotton-blend tank by Max Maraicon, grey and blue fringed cotton top by Stella McCartney, leather-trimmed appliquéd mesh top by Ronald Van Der Kemp, embellished denim mini skirt and snapshot color-block textured-leather camera bag, both by Marc Jacobs and Race Runner suede and fabric sneakers by Balenciaga.

Decadence

Decadence 1Dec

All that sparkles, golden hues have never been bigger in fashion, and where fashion goes, so does beauty. No doubt, gold is the most festive shade. This holiday season, decadence is the key word. More is more is the motto. Here are my personal favorites:

Marc_Jacobs_Decadence

Marc Jacobs has dedicated its newest oriental floral fragrance DECADENCE to opulence and glamour. The bottle design is reminiscent of an emerald green handbag with a python pattern, a gold chain and a black tassel. Definitely the most stylish one on the market!

Top notesItalian plum, saffron and iris.
Middle notes: Bulgarian rose, jasmine and orris root.
Base notes: Liquid Amber, vetiver and papyrus wood.

Decadence by Marc Jacobs
Eau de Parfum 30ml (CHF 106.00), 50ml (CHF 153.00), 100ml (CHF 207.00)
Body Lotion 150ml (CHF 76.00) and Shower Gel 150ml (CHF 72.00)

«The poop was beaten gold,
Purple the sails, and so perfumed that.
The winds were lovesick with them.»

William Shakespeare, Antony and Cleopatra

Bulgari

The new fragrance from Bvlgari, GOLDEA is an invitation to an exceptional olfactory journey. The name means «Gold Godess» (eng. gold & lat. dea). The oriental floral composition is a sumptuous hymn to the musks which have always been characteristic of Bvlgari’s style in fragrances.

Top notesCrystal musk, orange blossom, raspberry and bergamot.
Middle notes: Golden musk, ylang-ylang and jasmine.
Base notes: Ambery musk, patchouli and Egyptian papyrus.

Goldea by Bvlgari
Eau de Parfum 25ml (CHF 66.00), 50ml (CHF 137.00), 90ml (CHF 189.00)
Body Oil 100ml (CHF 101.00), Body Lotion 200ml (CHF 68.00) and Shower Gel 200ml (CHF 60.00)

Guerlain-Fall-2015-LOr

For the most radiant facial glow – a formula inspired by pure gold. Guerlain L’OR banishes imperfections, revives the skin by erasing its irregularities, and cloak it in a luminous veil. This ultra-moisturizing primer melts into the skin, offers freshness and prepares it for your perfect make-up with the help of pure gold. For me a daily must-have product! I can also recommend the fluid and the compact foundation of this line.

L’Or Make-up Base 30ml (CHF 90.00), Fluid Foundation (CHF 110.00) and Compact Foundation (CHF 113.00)

Hypnose dazzling

Happy Holidays with Lancôme. For a truly festive eye makeup, those dazzling eye shadows provide an intense and sophisticated color with jewel-like sparkles. Easy to apply, just dab them in with your fingertips.

Lancôme Hypnôse Dazzling in 420 Givre Doré, CHF 48.00

Golden Top Coat Lancome

To upgrade your manicure, I recommend this glittering top coat. Can be worn alone or over every shade you wish.

Lancôme Vernis in Love Golden Top Coat, CHF 28.00

PerfectBlacks

A pioneer of the beauty industry, Helena Rubinstein created the first revolutionary mascara in a tube. This fall, a new mascara launches, providing volume, definition and softness, encased in a distinctive gold packaging.

Helena Rubinstein Lash Queen Perfect Blacks, CHF 47.00

Moet

I am wishing you a wonderful festive season with lots of sparkles and golden bubbles. Here is my holiday favorite – enjoy a glass of champagne with some raspberries to create an explosion of flavors.

This post is also available in German and French on the Marionnaud blog.

Sometimes when you are stressed and you only got five minutes to dress, the result turns out to be one of your favorite looks. This happened to me last week when I put together those pieces in a hurry and really liked the style. Isn’t the color of this long powder blue coat just divine?!

Jumpsuits SS2015

S/S 2015 TREND 4
JUMPSUITS
Christian Dior – Céline – Sonia Rykiel

Fashion-forward utilitarian looks, the jumpsuit might not be the most comfortable piece of clothing but next summer definitely the the most up-to-date one.

KIMONO GIRLS
Gucci – Marni – Alexander McQueen

Ethnical prints and long silhouettes tied at the waist, the kimono was a huge source of inspiration for a number of fashion houses this season.

POP ART

ANDROGYNOUS & ASYMMETRIC TAILORING

My Look: Knitwear Dressing

Sandra Bauknecht in Prada Knitwear-Prove them wrong

Prove them wrong and follow my advice! If you have space, keep your clothes, there will always be a time for them again.

Knitwear dressing made a big comeback on the runways for the F/W 14 season and I am so happy that I have kept these S/S 2008 Prada pieces. They are so perfect for this fall.

My Look: Statement Piece

Satement Piece-Get the Look-Sandra Bauknecht

Sometimes it just needs one statement piece to draw all the attention to your outfit. But wait, a statement piece….? What is the statement? Here, it is the sequined Playboy bunny on the back of the hoodie that I wore last weekend on my flight to London for Fashion Week. Looking all innocent and casual at first sight, it unveils this fun message when you turn around. The only question left is what is the statement that the wearer is trying to make…? This you have to figure out yourself… mine will stay a statement secret.

My look: Cropped hoodie with zipper and sequined Playboy bunnyicon by Marc Jacobs, snake-print cotton tankicon by Stella McCartney, skinny mid-rise distressed jeans by Dolce & GabbanaBamboo leather tote iconby Gucci, white and black leopard calf hair bootie by Rodarte, diamond ring and bracelet, both by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
