Therefore is today’s post dedicated to a beautiful rose garden where I shot this stunning dress with its unexpected back before. I hope you will enjoy it.

My Look: London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has always been my favorite as it is the least pretentious one, with many of my preferred designers showing such as Mary Katrantzou and Natasha Zinko. Over time, we all became friends and it is wonderful to see how everyone attends each other’s runway presentations.

Love them both: With Natasha Zinko (left) at Mary’s show and with Mary Katrantzou (right) backstage after.

Here you see me in one of Mary’s last fur pieces (since S/S 2018 she is only using fake fur) that almost got me killed. There were protesters outside of the show who started attacking me. It got so violent that the police had to escort me inside. Backstage after the spectacle, I waited almost 30 minutes with my fox jacket wrapped in a garment bag to leave the premises.

Hiding from the protesters.

My look: Nausheen fox fur coaticon, and Faylinn dressicon, both by Mary Katrantzou, Knife suede over-the-knee boots by Balenciagaiconlarge classic flap bag in caviar leather by Chanel, and butterfly crystal earrings by Miu Miu.

The photos were taken before leaving to the show in front of my hotel, COMO The Halkin, located perfectly in the city’s Belgravia district on Halkin Street.

Trending: Hybrid Fashion

Aren’t we all about a two-for-one kind of a deal?! That’s why I would like to show you the It-piece of the S/S 2018 seasonthe hybrid piece, that is pretty exciting for me. Spotted on the runways of the likes of Alexander Wang, Balenciaga and Sacai to name a few, the designers layer two separate items and are selling them as one. A blouse attached to a cardigan, a crepe dress with another overlay dress, even a cashmere sweater with a lingerie top.

Though the idea of letting a brand choose how you should style clothes might sound limiting, all of the pieces below feel surprisingly versatile and entirely stylish. And after all, these designers know a thing or two about how to put together an outfit—why not let them do the work?

Check out my favorite hybrid picks below, and good news is they are all on sale. So you can really try the trend for yourself without feeling guilty! Don’t forget you are getting two for one!

From left to right: Layered lace-trimmed satin and jersey dressicon, Stack Tie tie-front distressed high-rise straight-leg jeansicon, and paneled wool-blend, lace and satin sweatericon, all by Alexander Wang.

From left to right: Cotton-twill and denim coat,  and layered printed crepe de chine and silk midi dress, all by Balenciaga.

From left to right: Printed striped cotton-poplin shirticon, and printed striped cotton-poplin bandeau top, both by Prada.

About Tuesday Night

Valentino_Tribe_Party

Paris Fashion Week is always fun, but of course also very tiring and as you might have realized I get barely time to blog. During the day, you attend many runway shows, visit showrooms, have meetings and run from one place to the other. But don’t get me wrong, I am not complaining, I absolutely adore my job.

Sandra_Bauknecht_Tribe Party

At night, the fashion crowd doesn’t stop. Events, launches and after show celebrations take place, such as the Valentino Tribe Party on Tuesday at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris.

The beautiful location was decorated with all sorts of tribal elements and Monsieur Valentino himself along with Alber Elbaz, Creative Director Lanvin, showed up during the night.

Raspoutine Paris

Later, I went to Raspoutine where L’Officiel Russia celebrated their new social editor, Kisa. It was great to see many familiar faces such as Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld, Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman, Jean-Thierry Besins of Bulliony, Natasha Zinko, Lorenzo Giove of Repossi and of course, Benjamin Eymère of L’Officiel Paris… and more!

Enjoy some of the impressions below!

Street Style Paris: Natasha Zinko

Natasha_Zinko

After the Louis Vuitton S/S 2013 show during Paris Fashion Week, I spotted Natasha Zinko, a London-based designer of Russian origin that graduated with a BA Honours recognition for Jewelry Design at Central St Martins. She opened her first store this year in the heart of London’s Mayfair district at 46 Maddox Street.

Her jewelry creations, like these skeleton earrings, are bold and very fashion forward. She also designs a ready-to-wear line called Abrakadabra. Of course, she caught my eye immediately because of her stunning Mary Katrantzou dress. Her friend wore head-to-toe Prada from the F/W 2012 collection. If you are interested in my look, click here for the previous post.
