My Look: Munich

Munich has always been my happy place. I absolutely adore this city in which I had lived for eight years before moving to Chicago and then Zurich. Therefore I was so happy to be back to see my friends, to enjoy Bavarian food and to walk around the famous Maximilianstrasse for some serious shopping damage.

My look: Aliane patchwork floral-print linen midi dressicon by Zimmermann, Bougainvillea 105mm sandals by Aquazzura, gold-tone necklaceicon by Saint Laurenticonyellow beaded earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and denim tie dye cannage small Caro bag by Dior.

My Look: Ahoy Capri

Ahoy Capri! I adore this Italian island so much. As one of the Mediterranean’s most glamorous destinations, Capri is famous for many reasons. It has jaw-dropping natural beauty, delicious cuisine and world-class shopping. It’s also a place to see and be seen – there’s a reason why so many celebrities anchor their yachts in Marina Grande, where I took these photos.

My look: Peggy tie-detailed paisley-print linen midi dressicon by Zimmermann, Spin Me Around elaphe sandalsicon by Aquazzura, J’adior Capri striped sweater by Dior (with motifs of the Dior Around the World inspired by sketches of Roman artist Pietro Ruffo), Devotion mini embellished metallic leather toteicon, and plissé sunglassesicon, both by Dolce Gabbana, patchwork face mask by Natasha Zinkolayered silk and multi-stone necklace by Etro, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

My Look: Capri

Today I am on my way to Ischia and Capri for the weekend and I am so much looking forward to being back. Last time I was there was for the opening of the Aquazzura store one year ago. The brand’s founder & creative director, Edgardo Osorio, invited us to the island for a weekend of pure fun that I have only shared in my IG stories so far. Here is my outfit that I wore for the first night. We enjoyed sunset cocktails at the beautiful JK Place Capri. A magical place for Edgardo and his partner Ricardo. Here the name Aquazzura was created during a sunset dinner overlooking the bay. It comes from the words ‘acqua’ and ‘azzurra’, which means blue water in Italian. Edgardo has always been in love with the sea and the sun, and wanted the name of his brand to both evoke his love for Italy and to remind him of Capri.

My look: Cropped button-embellished jacquard-knit blazer (also available in beige)icon, cropped button-embellished pointelle-knit top (also available in peach)icon, and button-embellished ribbed stretch-knit midi skirt (also available in peachicon), all by Balmain, icon Jodie mini knotted leather toteicon by Bottega Veneta, Whisper metallic leather wedge sandalsicon by Aquazzura, earrings by CHANELClash de Cartier ring in 18K rose gold with amazonite by Cartier, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.

It was the perfect sunny weather to enjoy a summer lunch at Buech for my fiancé’s birthday. I went for some Caribbean vibes to juxtapose a little bit the Swiss countryside.

My Look: Greenpeace

Stella McCartney supports Greenpeace‘s campaign to stop Amazon deforestation. The T-shirt as well as the sweater are both part of this collaboration with the iconic non-profit organization that aims to raise awareness of climate change. They have been made in Italy from soft organic cotton-jersey that’s tie-dyed and patterned with a vibrant rainforest print. With no toxic chemicals, this sustainable cotton uses up to 70% less water than conventional cotton. The same goes for the pants that have been made from sustainable viscose that stands for no deforestation.

My look: Greenpeace printed organic cotton-jersey sweatshirt, Greenpeace printed tie-dyed organic cotton-jersey T-shirticon, and Julia elasticated-cuff cady trousersicon, all by Stella McCartney, Relax shearling flip flops by Aquazzura, Neughman pilot sunglasses by Tom Ford, logo hair clip by CHANEL, diamond earrings by Cartier, and Carrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG Heuer.

Two Different Colored Shoes Day

Today, on May 3rd, we celebrate Two Different Colored Shoes Day. Probably you have never heard of that special day before that is set to recognize and celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of humanity. Where the simple and lighthearted act of purposely wearing two different colored shoes demonstrates the courage to «take a risk» and step outside of ones daily routine.

A daring combination: 105 crystal-embellished metallic leather sandals by Gianvito Rossi andicon Moon 105 crystal-embellished leather sandals by Aquazzura.

The easiest way to do it is to combine two shoes that have the same height and a similar structure. If you are one of those people, who likes to buy your favorite pair of shoes in different colors, you will have a blast mixing your footwear.

A safe way to celebrate Two Different Colored Shoes Day is to mix neutral shades and the same shoe model as those Kate 100 leather pumps by Christian Louboutin.

The day was created by Dr. Arlene Kaiser, an educator and public speaker, who has a profound love for diversity and has always been encouraging people to be who they are and not to concern themselves with being what society tells them they should be.

I wear today Jodie suede platform sandals in black and  Jodie rose-embellished white leather platform sandalsicon, both by Saint Laurent.

Remember that Two Different Colored Shoes Day is about celebrating your individuality, so wear whatever you love, and enjoy your own fashionable creativity. The world can use a little more color, and there’s nothing wrong with everyone being as diverse and as different as they are.

My Look: Say Cheese!

Say cheese! In Switzerland, you do that literally all the time, as it is the cheese capital of the world. Being such an integral part of its cuisine, the infamous cheese fondue and raclette are prime examples. During my stay at the Gstaad Palace, I ate at least once or twice a week at the so-called «Fromagerie» (French for cheesery), where those photos were taken. In case you wondering about the sausages, Swiss people like to start with a «Plättli» (little plate) of dry meat.

As this kind of food is pretty heavy and also very odorous, I recommend wearing something comfy. I love this mountain look, it is the perfect combination of being stylish, yet cozy. And the best is yet to come, the back of the sweater is open, so you don’t get too hot!

My look: Crochet-knit collar mohair-blend sweater, and crystal-embellished pleated wool tartan midi skirticon, both by Miu Miu, crystal-heart drop clip earringsicon by Alessandra Rich, wide bow hair clip by Jennifer BehrAria 105 suede pumps in dark blueicon by Aquazzura, and Cassandra medium YSL-plaque dark green leather cross-body bagicon by Saint Laurent.
