The new Roberto Cavalli advertising campaign for S/S 2012 revolves around the iconic beauty of 4 excellent top models:Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld are the Florentine designer’s muses, as he chose to represent the collection through women who embody the standards of a modern appeal.
Steven Meisel shot the photos that are reminiscent of the Versace campaigns in the ’90s. The Cavalli S/S 2012 collection is very glamourous and opulent. Those beaded embellished dresses in daring gold will surely be seen on the red carpets of the season.
In this image, you see Naomi Campbell with the Florence bag, which is considered to be the new ‘It’ bag of the Maison.
Mulberry takes us to the seaside for its S/S 2012 campaign
Mulberry’s S/S 2012 season visits the Great British Seaside by way of the UK’s Brighton Beach, inspired by Creative DirectorEmma Hill’s memories of the English seasides of her childhood.
This seaside scene was captured by one of my favourite photographers Tim Walker, starring models Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixon. It is Walker’s third campaign he has shot for the English brand. I love the gigantic ice-cream scones and cupcake colours which are a huge trend for S/S 2012. Nostalgic and eclectic, capturing the Mulberry charm in perfection!
Red is a must next summer and in combination with nude and beige just irresistible. Clare Waight Keller, who has replaced Chloé‘s Hannah MacGibbon, shows for her debut collection this colour combination in perfection.
If you are in the mood for shopping, have a look at this stunning outfit below, perfect for the cold temperatures now.
I personally absolutely adore the colour combination of red and nude, so French and so chic!
Here is a preview of Bottega Veneta‘s S/S 2012 ad campaignshot by artist and photographer Jack Pierson, featuring model Karmen Pedaru.
ABOUT JACK PIERSON Jack Pierson is a celebrated contemporary artist known for work that ranges across many media, including photography, collage, drawing, painting, and installations. This diversity makes it difficult to categorize Pierson’s art, though virtually everything he makes evinces a compelling combination of emotional vulnerability and formal sophistication. Pierson’s photographs often read like a diary, combining elements of nostalgia, loneliness, the romantic ideal, and a search for beauty.
The artist, who splits his time between New York and Southern California, has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group shows around the world. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Guggenheim in New York, among other prestigious institutions.
“I’ve admired Jack’s work for many years, especially his ability to create images that are at once precise and spontaneous.”Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director Tomas Maier explained in a release “I’m very happy with the result. Jack’s images capture the complexity as well as the joy of the collection.”
Let me introduce you to LUISAVIAROMA.COM‘s charity project “PUG DOGS FOR HAPPY KIDS” an exclusive one of a kind edition of 20 pug dogs, produced by Steiff, the German leader in the production of handmade plush toys & collectables.
Each piece is customized by a selection of the most prominent international fashion designers.
All proceeds generated from the sales will be donated to UNICEF to support disadvantaged children.
For the 4th Edition of Firenze4Ever Luisa Via Roma has asked each fashion blogger to “Adopt a Pug” for UNICEF. It was pretty tough to decide which one to take as designers such as Balmain, Emilio Pucci, Giambattista Valli, Mary Katrantzou & many more have come up with some pretty amazing pieces.
Curious which one I have chosen? Let me tell you that much: I was fighting with Bryan Boy over the Mary Katrantzou one and he was winning, haha. So I went for another one that I have truly fallen in love with. Stay tuned for the upcoming unique photo shoot with my little puppy.
The toys will be on display in store throughout the following Pitti week and will subsequently be available online.
Today, I finished the LuisaViaRoma Firenze4EverTotal Styling Lab. I have some amazing outfits to show you. Now, I am in my hotel relaxing a bit before dressing up for the Pink Carpet party tonight.

Luisa Via Roma’s Firenze4Ever is just amazing. After having been invited for the third time, it feels like visiting old friends. Last night we had dinner at the churchChiesa di Santo Stefano al Ponte which is deconsecrated to make something like this possible. What an atmosphere! A gigantic festive table was waiting with thousands of candles lightening the inside of the church. Please enjoy my photos of last night and all those familiar faces!
Wonderful Laudomia Pucci with me. Remember my interview that I did with her at the last Firenze4Ever. If not, please click here.

Here is an idea what you could also do with Dior’s smoky palettes. Those eyeshadow trios work great for the perfect smoky eyes look. Each palette contains a base plus a toning matte and iridescent shade. The rich colour pigments stay on very well.
