Last week, the first Karl Lagerfeld shop in Switzerland opened its doors at Jelmoli in Zurich with a fun party and I had the honor to unveil it. On the ground floor, you can find all accessories, bags and other fun gadgets. On the second floor of the famous department store, you can shop the prêt-à-porter collection.

The lovely Karl Lagerfeld team had flown in for the event.

Raquel Marquard and my humble self had fun trying some hats by Karl Lagerfeld.

Dusa Bibus to the left and Yvonne Bieri (Womenswear Buyer at Jelmoli) to the right.

The unveiling ceremony was fun. I gave a short speech and told a little anecdote about the first contact I had with Karl Lagerfeld many years ago as an assistant at Marie Claire magazine. As I am huge fan of him, I felt very honored to cut the ribbon of his first store in Switzerland.

It was a great night surrounded by amazing people! Stay tuned for the outfit post coming up soon! Happy Weekend!

After Majestic Rose, Noble Leather and Supreme Bouquet introduced last year, the Yves Saint Laurent Oriental Collection has received the fourth fragrance inspired by wood created in an oriental style: SPLENDID WOOD.
The extremely precious ingredients for this scent to fill the luxurious glass flacon decorated with gold colors were imagined by perfumers Marie Salamagne and Amandine Marie.

WOODY SPICY
Top notes: Cardamom, Incense and Saffron
Middle notes: Jasmine Sambac and Oriental Woodsy Notes
Base notes: Cypriol Oil, Cedar and Oud
Splendid Wood is available now as 80 ml Eau de Parfum for CHF 250.00.
A beautiful scent for men and women.

Love or hate it? I like playing with fashion and Jeremy Scott‘s fun approach for Moschino for the F/W 2014 season has already started to be eaten up by the fashion crowd. Combining Ronald McDonald and Coco Chanel, he send down tops and quilted bags in the colors of the famous fast food chain.
Franco Moschino was known for his humorous take on fashion and his successor Jeremy Scott, who is an icon of junk culture, managed to design trash pieces that are flying off the shelves.

The capsule collection is already available online on the MOSCHINO website and it is almost sold out. It will also be available soon on net-à-porter.
The first piece that has arrived is this fun French Fries iPhone 5 cover.
What do you think about it? Aren’t you lovin’ it?

Here is another outfit post from my recent trip to the US, taken on Abbot Kinnley Boulevard in Venice Beach. The weather was very weird and I didn’t see much of the Californian sun during my stay. A great place for lunch is Gjelina, a place worth its hype. Even that I am not a vegetarian, I do love my veggies and their kale salad is to die for.
My look: Wool-blend jacquard coat (fabric inspired by children’s wallpaper)
by Miu Miu, two-tone stretch-jersey contour dress by Stella McCartney, Bamboo leather tote
by Gucci, suede booties by Saint Laurent, Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline, rose diamond ring and Limelight Gala watch by Piaget.

To enhance your fragrance trail, CHANEL offers three new shimmering products for the body in limited edition, so catch them while you can!
Unfurling the notes of CHANCE, CHANCE EAU FRAICHE and CHANCE EAU TENDRE, they perfume and illuminate the skin with a subtle pearly sheen. Believe me, even if you don’t wear those scents in general, you will love those fun products.

CHANCE SHIMMERING BODY CREAM
Its rich and silky texture wraps the body in an iridescent veil and moisturises the skin, leaving it delectably soft. Its floral scent prolongs the trail of CHANCE, while its subtle pearly shimmer further enhances the skin.
CHF 106.- (200g)
CHANCE EAU FRAICHE SHIMMERING TOUCH
Like a caress of the skin, its velvety gel texture is applied in subtle touches to enhance the fresh and vibrant trail of CHANCE EAU FRAICHE. Its delicate shimmer is a must for highlighting and putting a sparkle in your décolleté.
CHF 75.00 (25g)
CHANCE EAU TENDRE SHIMMERING POWDERED PERFUME
Refined and feminine, the application with a powder puff deposits a cloud of tenderness on the skin and a fine dusting of shimmer on the body. A delicate and subtle illumination with a fruity-floral scent that revives the CHANCE EAU TENDRE fragrance for ever-greater softness.
CHF 90.- (25g)

Meet my new companion: The DORSET TOTE by Mulberry. Made from vibrant green leather that softens beautifully with wear, its spacious design has ample room for my daily essentials, plus a detachable pouch to keep valuables close at hand. Finished with the signature pale-gold Postman’s lock, this style is ideal for everyday use.

The new DORSET TOTE looks even great on display. Available in different colors, I went for this green hue that is nice and fresh for the spring season. Enjoy its little diary below:

SATURDAY: The perfect bag to go shopping due to its spacious design.

SUNDAY: Enjoying a yoga class and afterwards a coffee at Le Pain Quotidien, one of my favorite places in Zurich for brunch.

MONDAY: Off to the L’Officiel Switzerland editorial office to finish the second edition. In my DORSET TOTE is everything I need for today.
I hope that you have liked this little diary and I am wishing you a great start into the new week.

Since it was first created in 1958, Louis Vuitton’s iconic LOCKIT has appeared in different guises, but surely none more desirable than its latest incarnation as a timelessly elegant day bag in supple Veau Cachemire leather.
Taking from the original design its distinctive curved top and emblematic LV padlock on the side, the LOCKIT also borrows elements from contemporary bags, in particular its slender handles and graphic central V, discreetly highlighted with filettos and contrast edges. Soft, supple and surprisingly lightweight, the LOCKIT is made to be carried comfortably in the hand, on the elbow or from the shoulder (thanks to a removable, adjustable strap).
In chic Black or bright Framboise, deep purple Quetsche, soft beige Galet or delicate Magnolia, the new LOCKIT is a bag to treasure, for now and forever.

As you know, I was recently in Los Angeles with Piaget. It has been one of the best trips ever to my favorite city in the world. I have so many amazing impressions to show you. At the moment, I am working my way through the millions of photos. Here is a teaser post of the outfit I wore to the cocktail party Piaget hosted at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica.
My look: Blue bandage gown by Hervé Leger, Tribute sandals by Saint Laurent, embellished clutch with peacock feathers by Matthew Williamson, statement necklace by Lanvin, rose diamond ring and Limelight Gala watch by Piaget.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to interview supermodel Miranda Kerr for a very interesting project that will be revealed soon in L’Officiel Switzerland (and of course on Sandra’s Closet). Having the chance to talk to her, I was totally curious to find out more about her amazing skin care line KORA ORGANICS by Miranda Kerr
that I adore. The twenty-one-piece lineup of face and body essentials is as eco-luxe as it gets.
Being a green goddess and organic-devotee from Down Under, Miranda set up her skincare brand because she couldn’t find pure natural beauty products that delivered high performance results. She explained it to me: “I have been looking for a certified organic skin care line for myself. As I have been working in the industry for a while, I decided to launch one on my own and spoke to a great lab in Australia. I chose the key ingredients. First of all noni, which has over 17o vitamins and minerals. I used to drink it every day and so I thought why not putting it in my skin care line. Other key ingredients are green tea extract and rosehip oil.”

Her bestselling products are the Luxurious Rosehip Oil and the Enriched Body Lotion.

Try the line, I can absolutely recommend it!
