During New York Fashion Week, I had the idea to shoot an outfit post at Times Square. Brightly adorned with billboards and advertisements, this tourist attraction seemed to be the perfect backdrop to show this amazing gown by Athens-based Christos Costarellos. Ball gowns for day, why the hell not?! The Greek designer has been for quite a while on my watch list as I adore his couture techniques to create ethereal dresses inspired by ancient Greek mythology.

What I didn’t think off was that the temperatures were approximately – 5° C that day with heavy wind which created a chill factor of around -20° C. In fashion, not everything that looks so glam is always glamorous…
My look: Lace-trimmed Swiss-dot tulle midi dress
by Costarellos, Bianca leather sandals and Cassandre small suede shoulder bag, both by Saint Laurent, silver-plated, Swarovski crystal and faux pearl clip earrings
by Miu Miu.
LoL, Sandra

On my birthday, I love being surrounded by my close girlfriends who surprised me with a spontaneous birthday lunch. Honestly I should call it all-day-lunch as we went on until 6.30pm! I feel blessed to have such amazing women in my life. Thank you to everyone who made my day so special!

by Mary Katrantzou, pleated jacquard-knit wool-blend skirt

From spiral staircases to curving chairs, the creative yet practical designs of Bauhaus are one of a kind. This year, the Bauhaus celebrates 100 years since its founding in Germany by Berlin architect Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919. Until today, the Bauhaus Art School continues to shape art, architecture and design all over the world.
My beloved Mary Katrantzou dedicated her F/W 2018 collection to this fantastic movement – a testimony how art, culture, architecture and fashion are all linked together.
My look: Lazlo jacket
and Alta intarsia stretch-knit turtleneck midi dress, both by Mary Katrantzou, Paris suede ankle boots by Saint Laurent, «16» bag by Celine,
and
caramel and raspberry handmade Shibori dip-dyed fur stole by Miu Miu. and vintage CC heart motif earrings by Chanel.

At the moment, the World Economic Forum (WEF) in the Swiss Alpine town of Davos welcomes its global elite with only 22% female participants attending the event. Female empowerment starts in daily life. If we as women all supported each other like men do, we would be so much more powerful. Today’s look is dedicated to three amazing women that I am very lucky to call my girlfriends and that inspire me on a daily basis.
Nadya Shah – Mimi Mollerus – Annette Zierer
The cape I am wearing is by London-based designer Nadya Shah, a Central St Martins graduate who brings Victorian embellishment into the now with her fabulous collection of statement outerwear. Trophy jackets or ultra stylish capes are her signature pieces that you can find at Moda Operandi
for example.

The shopper is by Maison Mollerus in collaboration with the artist Super250. My friend Mimi Mollerus took over the family business, that her father Ernst founded 30 years ago, in 2011. Since then, she further developed the well established bag brand into a modern company.

Thanks to my friend Annette Zierer, who has her own PR company Zierer Communications in Munich, I discovered Giulia and Romeo, a young German shoe label that is vegan and ethical. With the purchase of their faux leather footwear, you automatically support animals in need as the brand donates the complete net proceeds to animal welfare organizations and animal aid projects.

My look: Paisley victorian cape by Nadya Shah, dark blue ultra light cashmere turtleneck with personalized embroidery by Falconeri, high rise super skinny ankle length jeans by Abercrombie & Fitch, Vinerus lemon shopper by Super250 x Maison Mollerus, and high top trainers by Giulia and Romeo.

Make a friend happy. Isn’t a personalized sweater such a cool idea to surprise someone you like?!

Friday’s dress code «Parisian Chic – Je Ne Regrette Rien» for the amazing ASW Winter Weekend in Gstaad was so much fun. I went through my closet and put together some vintage and new pieces for this Cancan-style outfit. The tights incorporated excessive glitz that you cannot see so well on the pictures. I hope that you like it as much as I do.
My look: Vintage bustier with a theatrical Parisian print of the late 19th century by Dolce & Gabbana, stretch-knit high-waisted panties by Prada, Cassandre small suede shoulder bag by Saint Laurent, burlesque can-can style boots by Louis Vuitton, feather boa by Dior, grape colored feather brooch
by Christopher Kane, feather-embellished velvet headband by Prada, Jennifer glitter net tights
by Wolford, Eiffel tower pearl earrings, multi-strand pearl body chain necklace and lace sleeves, all by Chanel, rose diamond ring by Piaget.

Wether there is snow or not, it doesn’t matter… Gstaad has this special energy. You come up and slow down. Here you see me in a comfy outfit strolling through the picturesque village.

Finally, the weather in Gstaad got colder and I saw the drops of snow falling, so it was time to cuddle up on top of the mountain in this warm, winter wonderland inspired, layered outfit.
My look: Floral oversized down jacket by Balenciaga, reversible intarsia wool-blend and jacquard jacket by Etro
, wool turtleneck bodysuit by Alaïa, printed low-rise skinny jeans by Givenchy, embroidered brocade drawstring backpack and studded wool-silk shawl

In my opinion, mixing and matching is crucial to a fashionable look. One night at the Gstaad Palace, I went for acid yellow, leopard print and check – all in one! I hope you like it as much as I do.
My look: Leopard-print calf hair and checked twill jacket, and ruffled leopard-print silk-georgette wrap maxi dress, both by Diane von Furstenberg
, Cassandre small suede shoulder bag by Saint Laurent, leather-trimmed printed velvet belt

A must-do while visiting Gstaad is having lunch at Wasserngrat Restaurant on a beautiful sunny day. It is always Saturday’s highlight during the ASW Winter Weekend in December. Once you are on the sun deck, you will understand the Swiss ski resort’s slogan: «Come up and slow down».
My look: White mink coat with floral intarsia, intarsia jacquard flowers cardigan
, and rose print silk shirt, all by Gucci, paneled leather and jersey leggings by Givenchy
, vintage white mink ear muffs and 2.55 quilted bag with attached hanger, both by Chanel, fur snow boots by Prada Linea Rossa, white leather gloves by Prada and Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline.
