My Look: Advent

The Dolder Grand makes Christmas extra magical with a very fun Advent Calendar created by Finnish artist Jani Leinonen , who had already designed the impressive floral Easter Egg past Spring. Highlighting the center of the Canvas Bar & Lounge, this pop art work will make every art lover’s heart beat faster with its secret messages hidden behind the 24 doors. I attended the cocktail reception in presence of the artist in this vibrant Valentino Pink PP outfit.

My look: Embroidered cardigan (Look 46 Pre-collection S/S 2021) by CHANEL, bow-detailed wool and silk-blend crepe braletteicon, wool and silk-blend crepe skirticon, One Stud 100 embellished patent-leather pumpsicon, pink VLogo signature gloves, VLogo signature earrings, and One Stud mini leather shoulder bagicon, all by Valentino, and feather, crystal and bead earrings by Oscar de la Renta.

Happy 13th Birthday, Sandra’s Closet!

13 years – as crazy as it sounds but I have been blogging now for 156 months, which is around 4745 days, and this is my 5289th post which means I wrote one article every day. I am thankful, Sandra’s Closet has taken me on the craziest, busiest but most beautiful ride in my life.

The last 365 days have been a total whirlwind. I almost forgot my blog anniversary with everything that is going on at the moment. Building my new home, traveling like crazy, attending so many amazing events, spending time with my family and friends while constantly blogging can be exhausting from time to time.

Cheers to 13 years!

I want to take this opportunity to send my gratitude to all of you, who are reading my posts every day. Knowing that there are people who are genuinely interested in my ideas and my style makes me very happy. It creates a space for conversation – fashion is not a monologue, it is a message you send into the world, it is the way you will be perceived in the first seconds. Thanks to you, I don’t stop – my brain is constantly on the hunt for something to inspire you.

To many more years to come!

My Look: Decadent Dinner

Following the dress code for the Decadent Dinner Party that said «all black with a touch of decadence», I went for a Saint Laurent jumpsuit under a black blazer and combined it with different accessories from the French Maison. I hope that you will like it as much as I do!

My look: Strapless cutout embellished ruched stretch-satin jumpsuiticon, black double-breasted blazer, Tribute woven leather platform sandals, Monogram fringe crossbody bag in gold, gold-tone necklace, and gold-tone, enamel and faux pearl clip earringsall by Saint Laurent.

My Look: Maldives Memories

Maldives memories… the clear turquoise waters, the white beaches of the Indian Ocean paradise are a magnet for anyone with an interest in marine life. There is a lot to do and on the other hand, there is nothing to do. The Maldives is a haven of peace, quietness, solitude, and relaxation. Something I absolutely needed.

However, as the scenery was so stunning, I booked a photographer to shoot some amazing outfits. While staying at the Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands resort, we had moved one day to a water villa where I shot this vibrant look overlooking the ocean. Personally speaking, the composition of these photos might be one of my favorites of all time.

My look: Manosque tiered taffeta maxi dressicon by Jacquemus (S/S 2020 «Le Coup de Soleil» Collection), pink high-heel platform mules by Versace, Baguette leather wallet on chain in pink by Fendi, toy choker necklace, and gummy bear hoop earrings, both by Balenciaga, and DiorSignature B1U cat-eye acetate and gold-tone sunglasses by Dior.

My Look: I Love Maldives

I absolutely love the Maldives. Being a dreamy couple’s escape, I enjoy this precious time with my better half. From candlelit dinners under starry skies, to movie nights on the beach and boat trips to spot dolphins at sunset. Every day offers something different. In between I have a lot of fun shooting some outfit posts by myself at our private beach. The weather constantly changes from sunshine to rain as you can perfectly see in those pictures and my layers.

My look: Lorna jumpsuit in blackicon, Lorna cupped bikini top in pinkicon, and matching Lorna bikini bottom in pinkicon, all by Agent Provocateur, color-block ribbed knit cardiganicon by Christopher John Rogers, DiorSignature B1U cat-eye acetate and gold-tone sunglasses by Dioricon, GG buckled rubber sandals by Gucciicon, Ras Du Cou silver-tone, shell and beaded necklaceicon, and gold-tone and shell choker, both by Isabel Marant.

My Look: Welcome to Maldives

Welcome to Maldives! Since almost one week already I am embracing island life at the Ritz-Carlton Fari Islands resort which is an absolute a dream. I am relaxed, nourished and just happy. Nature is so powerful here and the energy is very special. I feel inspired and refreshed. The first days I did absolutely nothing besides, swimming, exercising and reading books. Then, I was in the mood to take some photos. Before coming here, I bought myself a compact travel tripod which was a super investment as I took all of these shots by myself and it was a lot of fun!

My look: Dragon-print swimsuit with gold buttonsicon, and matching dragon-print pareoicon, both by Balmain, gold wedge sandalsicon by Aquazzura, BV1070 cat-eye sunglasses by Bottega Veneta, «Dubai» limited edition white and gold book tote with Rêve d’Infini motif imagined by Pietro Ruffo and matching «Dubai» J’adior limited edition bracelet set in black and white Dior Oblique cotton by Dior, gold metal necklace with coins and matching earrings, both by CHANEL.

My Look: Kispi

Finally after three years, the Kispiball (Kispi is an abbreviation for Kinderspital which means children’s hospital in German) took place again at the wonderful Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich. It is one of my favorite charity events of the Swiss social calendar that raises money for the city’s children’s hospital. I danced all night long in my Dolce & Gabbana gown and enjoyed being among my dear friends.

My look: Strapless polka-dot silk-organza gown, and «’L’Amore È Bellezza» ribbon belt, both by Dolce & Gabbana, pink double bow satin pumpsicon by Mach & Mach, Tro crystal-embellished leather shoulder bag by Oscar de la Renta, and crystal-embellished snake necklace by Alessandra Rich.

My Look: Versace

This was the outfit I wore to the Versace F/W 2022 show in Milan. The Italian Maison has such a huge momentum again, its skyrocketing platform heels are all over along with the iconic codes we all adore so much. The surge in archival interest, and Donatella’s enduring icon status have made the brand a star once more.

My look: Envers satin jacket dress, Medusa chain embellished waist belt, Medusa Aevitas embellished satin platform pumpsicon, and small Medusa top handle bag, all by Versace, black panties by CHANEL, and gold mesh necklace by Prada.

The photos were taken in front of the store at 27 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, that was wrapped all in pink during Paris Fashion Week., before I went to the party with Kilian.

My look: Cutout bow-embellished wool and silk-bend mini dressicon, stretch-knit tightsicon, One Stud mini leather shoulder bagicon, Tan-Go patent leather platform pump 165mm, all by Valentinofeather, crystal and bead earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and pink marabou jacket by Emilio Pucci.
