AKRIS has come up with a new cool when it comes to dressing. For the last winter collection, creative director Albert Kriemler has quite obviously fallen in love with the jacket. I adore the versatility of his creations. The cropped fur part for example can be removed and the leather vest be worn solo. How cool is that?!

Besides, I am a big fan of the color combination of light grey and olive. Those two hues are a great match, unexpected and interesting together.

The beautiful AERIN Fragrance collection was first launched in 2013. Curated by Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of the famed Estée, and created with the finest ingredients, each of the fragrance bottles represents an aspect of the gorgeous brunette.

First, five distinct scents have hit the shelves– Gardenia Rattan, Amber Musk, Lilac Path, Ikat Jasmine and Evening Rose. They are now complemented by three new scents, all perfect for summer. The sun is shining today, I can smell spring being around the corner, isn’t that the best feeling ever?!

MEDITERRANEAN HONEYSUCKLE
Floral Citrus

Escape to the sun-drenched, azure-blue Mediterranean. Sweet Honeysuckle and sparkling Grapefruit take you there, evoking lush flowers and shimmering beaches. Italian Bergamot, sun-warmed and citrusy and Mandarin Oil impart lasting freshness. Lily of the Valley and lush Gardenia build to the sensuality and richness of Jasmine Sambac Absolute. A fragrance as magical and elegant as its inspiration.

For the packaging, Aerin got inspired by the different shades of the ocean and the sky.

WATERLILY SUN
Floral Watery

Like sunlight reflecting on water, bright Sicilian Bergamot and Lush Dewy Greens entice the senses for an invigorating, luminous first impression. Delicate, yet alluring Waterlily and softly exotic Jasmine Sambac add layers of depth and intensity, warmed by sweetly inviting Musk. The effect is bright, dewy and fresh.

The box is reminiscent of vibrant flowers in Claude Monet’s garden in Giverny.

IRIS MEADOW

Like walking through an open field wild with flowers, Iris Meadow beckons with crisp green notes infused with lush florals and deepened by warm, energizing woods. Effervescent Mandarin and vibrant Blackcurrant blend with fresh florals. Iris, emboldened by Egyptian Jasmine, balances the scent with vibrant depth while Cedarwood melts into creamy, woody musks.

During spring time, Aerin loves to travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco. She mostly stops at Paso Robles for a wine degustation. There she loves to look at the delicate desert flowers that bring a touch of green to the vast landscape.

All three new scents come in two different sizes as Eau de Parfum Spray, CHF 132.00 (50ml), CHF 200.00 (100ml). Also available as Body Cream for CHF 80.00 (150ml).
Finally in stores in Switzerland exclusively at Globus.

During this week’s Baselworld, the leading watch industry event that takes place annually in Basel, DIOR presented their latest timepiece: the Dior Grand Soir Kaléidiorscope.

The latest collection takes inspiration from Monsieur Dior’s embroideries, but there’s a twist, a new freshness. Light through a lens is the motto: the dials are seen through the eyes of a kaleidoscope to create a geometric symmetry.

This series consists of 8 unique and exceptional pieces. A new 36mm size has been developed for the Dior Grand Soir collection to enhance this rich and colourful concept.

Baselworld 2016 has officially started and one launch has immediately caught my eye. HUBLOT releases a burst of colour in shades to make your mouth water! After lace and denim, it’s time to place linen centre stage. This natural plant fibre is not only used for the strap, it also adorns the case and dial of the new Big Bang Tutti Frutti Linen collection.

A unique weaving process creates a unidirectional weft comprising 100% natural fibres, dyed and paired with a transparent composite. It offers an innovative alternative to carbon fibre, with which it shares mechanical strength, but is lighter in weight and allows an infinite palette of hues. For the strap, HUBLOT has selected a pure linen fabric sewn onto rubber. It is made from flax gathered, spun and then woven by hand, using only the very best fibres.

This radiant collection is available in 4 eye-popping colours – Ocean Blue, Turquoise, Purple and Orange. Four models, each released in a limited edition of 200 pieces, house the HUB4300 self-winding mechanical chronograph movement in a 41 mm case.

Karl Lagerfeld has chosen Cara Delevingne as the face of the S/S 2016 CHANEL eyewear campaign. Since 2012, the young actress has been a close friend of the House and of Karl Lagerfeld. She has walked the runway several times and appeared in different campaigns.

For the S/S 2016 eyewear campaign, she sports a very urban and contemporary look wearing pieces from the CHANEL AIRLINES ready-to-wear collection. The new must-have shades have been presented on the catwalk last October during the S/S 2016 show: an ultra-graphic, mirrored mask with a quilting effect engraved by laser.

Other eyewear models for this summer are:

The Plein Soleil 2016 collection revisits the two-tone – an emblematic House signature – and is inspired by tie-dye motifs. The colours subtly melt into the acetate, sliding progressively from black into blue on the cat-eye sunglasses, and from black into white on an oval optical.

The Bijou 2016 eyewear collection draws inspiration from another CHANEL code: the camellia. The temples of the butterfly shaped sunglasses and a cat-eye optical are adorned with an abundance of camellias in metal and enamel.

The campaign has been shot by Karl Lagerfeld and is expected to be released in April 2016.
