Mark my words! Emma Watson is becoming more and more a budding fashion icon, probably thanks to all her gorgeous Burberry outfits (see above).
Being BFF with Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, the former campaign face was the first person to step out in a trench coat with gorgeous leather sleeves from the new Burberry Bespoke collection last week at Heathrow airport.
The custom-made piece was a gift for her premiere and before the young actress left for N.Y., she tweeted: „That’s London done, now off to New York! Wearing my favourite trench that Christopher Bailey @Burberry designed for me. Love it! x“
Burberry Bespoke will be a new fully integrated, innovative digital platform, enabling the personalisation of the iconic Burberry trench coat in many different ways and will be available for those of us not on the fashion house’s immediate gift list sometime early in 2011. So now the question on my fashionista’s mind is how would my bespoke coat look like? As for me, I see a huge fur collar and cuffs. And you?
I truly love Emma’s look last week. She accessorized her one-of-a-kind trench with a beaded red poppy pin (in honour of Britain’s Remembrance Day – those pins are all over London in November), Ray-Bans, a pair of ballet flats and her beloved killer Burberry studded bag from the “Winter Storms” collection that she was seen with many times before.
The new capsule collection has the right pieces to fight blowing snow and whipping winds in style. I love the metal studs that are applied in unlikely places, such as on the underside of a jacket collar for example. They lend a certain rock glam to otherwise conservative pieces.
See for yourselves the stud-erific must-haves for men and women!

Zara has this months some amazing pieces giving you the opportunity to include some of the new season’s must-haves as well as some solid classics into your wardrobe. Decide for yourself if you want to go steal or splurge. Those styles are both ways great.
I always recommend to understand and recognize quality materials and craftmanship, not only a designer label. With this in mind, you will invest with confidence and mix with less expensive pieces to create your own individual, so hard-to-copy look. But be careful! Your shoes and bag should always be of good quality.
For all Zara pieces click here for the webshop (not available in all countries) or visit the nearest Zara store.
For all designer pieces you just have to click on the label in the text to be transfered directly.
One of the It-pieces for Resort 2011 is Stella McCartney’s ivory wool-twill tuxedo jacket with black and white lapels above.

Animal prints like cheetah (Azzedine Alaia) or leopard (Chloé) are very trendy at the moment. Spotted on an A-line swinging skirt combined with a leather top (Derek Lam) shows the real fashionista. Suede pumps (Jimmy Choo) are always a good investment.

The basics are your wardrobe’s building blocks. A bow-tie blouse (Balmain) combined with a pair of wide-leg pants (YSL) is a truly classic look. The colour combination of black and white always in style. Those items will last for years. Shoes by Gucci.

Of course, no list of basics is complete without the ubiquitous LBD (Little Black Dress) This season has been all about leather and this is going to stay. So why not indulging yourself in the trend material and adding a striking, sizzling touch to the classic piece (Bottega Veneta; Maje). Suede wedges (Bottega Veneta) give another modern, edgy touch.
Happy Smart Shopping!

To celebrate Dior’s love for grey, the French fashion house has launched a new limited edition trio of nail polishes: Dior Vernis Gris City.
The three grey-hued shades are inspired by the greatest metropolises of fashion and luxury: Paris, London and New York.
With this fall’s most recent enamel collection, Dior changed the shape of their brushes. As I told you before, it took me some time getting used to at first, but now I actually love the more precise control this new shape affords.

707 – Gris Montaigne

807 – Bond Street

797 – NY 57th
Below you see three mood boards that I put together for you to capture the city’s style and to inspire you for some great outfits.

Gris Montaigne is an elegant tone celebrating the iconic code of the Dior house in Paris where Christian Dior’s favourite colour dominates the decoration of the boutique on Avenue Montaigne.

Bond Street is a grey muted with blue, inspired by the emblematic English fog.

NY 57th is the address of Dior’s New York boutique. The metallic grey enamel stands for the colour of asphalt and is an homage to the dusky light of the Manhattan skyline.
This exclusive trio is available in a limited edition now in the new Christian Dior boutique in London on Bond Street, designed by Peter Marino, as well as in the Dior house on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. Starting December 9th, 2010, it will then be sold in the New York store.
So it might take some major work to get your hands on them.

The new s.Oliver ON STAGE collection has hit the stores. From now on, s.Oliver will launch a special music inspired collection with one star each year and design his or her stage outfit.
This time, the looks are inspired by two prodigies: Australian guitarist Orianthi and German-Canadian violinist David Garrett. The two musicians are also the testimonials for the campaign.
If you are dreaming of a rockstar allure, you can try your new style without spending too much money. The leather jacket for example costs €249.- and the sparkling waistcoat is around € 60.-.
David Garrett’s concert “Rock Symphonies” on November 24th in Basel is already sold out. You can win 2 tickets in collaboration with tilliate and s.Oliver for a meet & greet that night.
Good luck!

Over the past six months, the Gucci’s Facebook fanbase has more than doubled (almost 3 million by today) making the Italian fashion house the most “liked” luxury brand on Facebook.
Gucci has realized the importance of social media and has come up with some new and interesting ideas to spread the word and to advertise without a huge budget.
“Eye Want You” is the newest coup, a viral video Facebook application that allows users to share their moods with friends through customized video messages from Gucci models wearing the new eyewear from the Gucci eyeweb collection. Based on their own mood, visitors select a message to personalize with sunglasses of their choice and with their own “Eye Want You” message to the recipient. Once created, the video can be shared on Facebook friend’s walls or sent through as a private message.
What a smart move to advertise the eyewear!

Next year in spring or summer 2011, 30 years after the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana, their son will finally tie the knot.
William proposed to Kate on a safari last month, but today the newly-engaged couple, both 28 years old, faced the cameras for the first official engagement photo. Prince William honoured his late mother by giving his fiancée Kate Middleton the engagement ring which was Princess Diana’s from Prince Charles! The ring is an oval 18-carat sapphire surrounded by diamonds.
Kate, a classic beauty wore a bright blue wrap dress by Issa London. The fashion label founded by Brazilian designer Daniella Issa Helayel is known to be one of Kate’s favourites. Rumours are out that she might do the wedding gown as well.
The royal colour matched her massive ring and the dark blue suede pumps finished off her look perfectly. Two decades ago, Princess Diana wore the same shade as well for her engagement.
Kate and William looked so in love today that I am sure all of these similarities are meant to be and a good omen.
To a fashionable happy royal wedding!

Finally we have an exciting preview of what Tom Ford has designed for his upcoming eponymous S/S 2011 womenswear collection. The master’s comeback to ladies dressing after six years is fashion meganews and he kept it pretty secretly which has made the hype even bigger.
The December issue of US-Vogue, with Angelina Jolie on the cover, shows some amazing photos of the new must-haves.

Me with Tina Turner and Tom Ford
Glamour is, after all, what Mr. Ford is for in fashion. But his vision has changed a little, he is not designing for the trendy Gucci girl he left behind, he is more into reaching the Chanel and Armani league.
„It is about individuality. The Seventies is what I love. Soft, touchable beauty is what I love,“ says Ford. And we love you Mr. Ford! Cannot wait to become a Mrs. Ford… Thank God we have a Tom Ford boutique in Zurich!
