Here is my outfit that I wore to the second wedding celebration on Saturday. The party took place in Lech, Austria and the dress code was dirndl. For my foreign reader: This is a type of traditional dress worn in Bavaria, Austria and other Alpine areas. What might seem to you more like a historical costume, is pretty normal for us and it is definitely a look that suits every woman.
I wanted to go for a not so traditional outfit and have been collecting designer pieces over many years. Here is the outcome:

As you already know, it was the weekend of weddings. Kate and Charlene tied the knot and two of my girlfriends as well. This was my outfit for Friday’s wedding reception and cocktail party that took place in Zurich.

Yesterday, Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert of Monaco made it official with a religious ceremony at the main courtyard in the palace in front of 4000 invited guests.
The bride looked stunning in a breath-taking custom-made Armani Privé (the haute couture line of Giorgio Armani) silk duchesse off-the-shoulder ivory gown with subtle pearl and gold-tinted Swarovski crystal embellishments and an amazing train.
A long off-white silk tulle veil was placed on top of her chignon which had quite a very beautiful diamond encrusted floral accent.

For the evening reception and gala, Charlene wore another fantastic Armani Privé gown. The newlyweds looked much more relaxed than during the religious ceremony and had definitely the world’s largest wedding cake ever.

It is the weekend of weddings, Charlene Wittstock, now called Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene, has finally married long-time bachelor Prince Albert, son of late Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier, in Monaco and Kate Moss has tied the knot with indie rocker Jamie Hince in Cotswolds. We all have been speculating the last weeks what the famous brides will be wearing for their big day.
Charlene went for Chanel and wore a pale blue suit jacket with beautiful lace trims and a long, flowing skirt.
“It’s a collaboration between me and Karl Lagerfeld,” Charlene explained to Vogue. “We wanted something to match the color of my eyes. It is my creation and I’m proud of it. It’s feminine and keeps with tradition yet has a little twist that reflects my personal style. I thought it was a nice change to go for trousers instead of a skirt, especially since I’m an athlete and have always kept my clothes clean and simple.”
Let’s see what she will be wearing today for the religious ceremony. Rumours are that she decided to go for Armani…
Montblanc takes part in the crowning moments as they have created a one-of-a-kind writing instrument, a Création Privée from the Artisan Atelier Hamburg, that the couple used to seal their civil union.
The very unique fountain pen is embellished with precious stones (161 rubies and 128 diamonds) and the monogram of the Princely Couple.
Kate Moss looked absolutely stunning in her John Galliano vintage-style dress with sequins and rhinestone details. She teamed it with Manolo Blahnik shoes.
After the furore in Spring surrounding John Galliano (he was sacked as chief designer of Christian Dior for an anti-semitic tirade), she was said to be in turmoil but she stood by her friend John Galliano after all.

Here comes the new super mascara by Lancôme: Hypnôse Doll Eyes.

Yesterday, I was invited to explore the upcoming Thomas Sabo F/W 2011 collection. The presentation was held at the Asian restaurant Tao’s in Zurich and the location couldn’t have been better for the so-called „Exotic Issue – Pop goes Asia“ that draws inspiration from the electrifying nightlife of an Asian megacity, merging the power pop era of the ’80s with the coquettish charm of a ’30s Shanghai.
The new Thomas Sabo collection is dazzling and original, for both women and men. It brings up a kind of holiday feeling, the same you experience entering a foreign and magic world.

Naturally, the right skin protection is indispensable when the sun is shining like the last days. At the moment, my favourites are Lancôme’s new Génifique Sôleil releases. I have to admit that I hate applying suncreams but those sprays are easy and fast to use.
FACE
The lightweight melting and water-resistant formula for the face delivers optimal UVA-UVB protection. It works for all skin types, even sensitive.
The skin is ideally tanned and its youthful appearance is visibly protected.

The Mandarin Oriental, Paris has officially opened its doors yesterday. The new prestigious hotel is situated in a 30s art déco building on one of the most fashionable streets in the world, Rue Saint-Honoré, surrounded by high end fashion, haute couture and steps from the Louvre.
Rooms
The 99 rooms and 39 suites were conceived by distinguished architect Sybille de Margerie, designer of LVMH-owned Cheval Blanc. Patrick Jouin, who designed Jules Verne and Alain Ducasse at Plaza Athénée, designed the restaurant and bar spaces. 2-star Michelin chef Thierry Marx is in charge for your dining experiences.

What happens when you step into a dream? Or rather, what happens when you dream inside a dream?
Last week when I was in Milan, I stayed at the Maison Moschino. You are more than likely familiar with the Italian fashion brand Moschino and their second line Moschino Cheap and Chic but did you know that they also have a fantastic hotel?
Situated in an old neoclassical railway station on Viale Monte Grappa, 12, the hotel is the result of the creative work led by Rossella Jardini and Moschino’s creative team.
The minute you enter the lobby, you are transported into a fantasy world. Moschino’s playful language of fashion has been transformed and adapted to design fanciful settings and surreal rooms that each tell their very own fairytale.
Divided into four floors, the 65 rooms and junior suites are all different. Magical and whimsical details reminiscent of Enchanted Forests and children’s favorites like Alice In Wonderland, Little Red Riding Hood and Candyland are the themes of some of the rooms. Other elements include walls climbing with ivy, cushions and lampshades covered in roses or ribbons, ballgown beds and mystery keys. The hotel also has a restaurant and a spa. Prices are very reasonable.
