To celebrate the first year of Spiga2(Dolce & Gabbana’s the first multi-brand shop), the store was transformed into a huge bedroom. Women were be in bed with the latest collections from the Spiga2 designers.
This season’s must: A pair of sparkling shoes!
Fausto Puglisi with his muse Masha and me in the middle
Dolce & Gabbana’s protégéFausto Puglisi‘s s vibrant designs are available at Spiga 2 and of course, the Sicilian designer was also present.
My look yesterday was inspired by the current python trend. This yellow and green python coat by Prada was a special order for me a few years ago. Thank God that I am keeping all my things.
Python coat by Prada, dress and belt by Matthew Williamson, shoes by Yves Saint Laurent, earrings by Louis Vuitton and bag by Tom Ford.
What a surprise! I ran into Michele Venitucci on the streets in Milan. Remember him? The Italian actor is like me one of the advertising faces for the Closed F/W 2011 campaign.
Yesterday outside at the Ermanno Scervino S/S 2012 show, I spotted Marcella, a Stockholm based editor, in such a cute outfit that I had to share it with you.
Marcella’s look: Linen shirt by Uniqlo, sandals by See by Chloé, sunglasses by H&M, clutch by Jil Sander and watch by Marc Jacobs. The colourful mini skirt is a souvenir from Africa.
In the meantime, something for my Swiss and German based readers: The fourth 2011 Weltwoche Style Edition is available now featuring my winter must-haves including an interview with Melanie Günthardt, co-owner of Lovers Lane, and the cover story I wrote about Stella McCartney. You might be surprised how versatile the British designer really is.

Today, I also went to see theErmanno Scervino S/S 2012 show which took place at la Scuola Militare, the military school. The scenery was quite impressive and a wonderful juxtaposition to the very romantic and feminine collection.
With the next summer collection, Ermanno Scervino takes us on a voyage across India of Rajasthan and of the Maharajas. The Florence based designer is constantly melting different worlds and different materials, combining sportswear and couture by playing with unexpected combinations, such as geometric jackets over light ruffled dresses.
In the front row (so-called “frow” now), I spotted Alice Dellal (model and sister of shoe designer Charlotte Olympia) who is the new advertising face for the Ermanno Scervino F/W 2011 campaign, in the amazing black overall from the winter collection. Alice with her edgy look adds the right twist to those soft and playful creations.
Great choice! I have loved the S/S 2012 show and you? You can watch it at the end of this post.
This evening I went to see the Prada S/S 2012 show which was truly amazing!
Miuccia Prada always surprises us. This time, she came up with a road-style runway that had pink oil spills and foam cars as decoration (and seats!). A lovely fifties vibe with car prints, amazing floral prints and lots of beautiful colours. A very feminine collection. I am completely taken by the beautiful dresses and pleated fabrics. The leather pencil skirts were also divine. But the most insane part were the shoes with heels on fire…more to come.
Today I drove to Milan for Fashion Week S/S 2012. It is actually pretty nice to take the car as there is so much space to fit in all the lovely outfits. My first show was Gucci. As you know, I love the Italian brand.
Frida Giannini started of the show with some iconic prints and the combination of green and black. There was a lot of black and white to follow, definitely less colours than her two last seasons. Sharp tailored pants with cropped jackets. Fringes were all over. Next summer, there will be a lot of glitter and shine. Sparkling sequined flapper dresses, reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties, finished of this very wearable, beautiful collection.
Are you a Gucci girl? I surely am… stay tuned for the outfit I wore today (…and somebody else, too!).
For all mums and kids around Zurich, good news:
There are two new shops in town waiting for you to be explored.
In Zurich-Seefeld, Gaby Knobel, owner of the well-known children’s shoe shop Lolipop, has expanded her range with a new shop just across the street. Now, in addition to the large shoe selection, she also offers beautiful clothes from Lilly Gaufrette, Diesel and Hackett among others for boys and girls aged 0-12 years old.
Karin Grossenbacher knows her business well. After her huge success with Kids Design Lakeside in Thalwil, it was perfectly natural to open a store on the other side of the lake.
Now, she sells furniture and fashion(a large selection of D&G, Miss Grant and Moncler among others) also in Erlenbach. Don’t miss the generous basement to explore the latest trends for your child’s room while your little one enjoys sliding down the stairs. Karin and her team are waiting for you.
For 2011’s Cannes International Film Festival, Only The Brave Foundation and Le Baron have invited celebrities (Jude Law, Kirsten Dunst an many more) to sign aDiesel Black Gold denim, during their fabulous nights at Le Baron Piano Bar.
This denim is now sold by auction on ebay until 22nd September : all profits will be donated to the Only The Brave Foundation, that supports and develops a variety of innovative development projects in Africa.
Many celebrities attended last week’s S/S 2012 runway presentation in New York City, among them Gerard Butler with his date Petra Nemcova and the Roitfeld girls.
“It’s time to reflect.” This was written on the program at the Diesel Black Gold S/S 2012 show. There were dangling mirrors hanging down, perfectly reflecting the light and preparing the audience for a show full of metallics. I am in love with those shiny materials. As this is already a huge trend for F/W 2011, I am glad to see that this is going to stay for a while.
Let the light of Diesel Black Gold shine on me…
