Win the New Braun WaterFlex Shaver

Braun Waterflex Shaver Contest

Here is another contest for my Swiss Gentlemen! Today you can win the one of three new BRAUN WATERFLEX SHAVERS that cross the boundaries of wet shaving with electric shaving.

But stop! Personally speaking, I love beards and some of you might think the facial undergrowths are highly trendy so why shave them off?! “The hipster beard is on longer in fashion” was written all over the news!

I Like Your Beard

According to a study of the University of New South Wales, the beard trend has reached its peak in 2014. This ebb and flow may be guided by Darwinian selection, according to Australian scientists who detected that the more beards there are, the less attractive they become – giving clean-shaven men a competitive advantage.

Braun Waterfelx 1

Therefore Gentlemen, I am happy to help you. It’s perfect timing to win the brand-new Braun WaterFlex Shaver. Specially designed for use with water, foam or gel, it combines the best of both worlds. Shave in the shower, bath or simply with damp skin in front of the mirror – convenience is key. As with all Braun products the technology is first rate.

Braun_WaterFlex_640

With a flexible shaving head, an anti-slip handle and special OptiBlades™, WaterFlex offers everything men need for a shave with ideal thoroughness leaving behind an amazing feeling of soft skin. It is heaven for all women who are longing for a soft kissing experience. And for all who like a little tickle, the shaver also offers an integrated precision trimmer to keep the beard properly groomed.

The WaterFlex comes in four finishes; black, white, blue and red. It’s available now for CHF 185.00.

Waterflex Braun

To participate in the contest, please send me an e-mail with your postal address and the header “Braun WaterFlex Shaver” to . All entries must be received until September 15, 2014. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win this contest. By entering this contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these official rules. My Look: Happy

Sandra Bauknecht - Jason Wu - My Look - Happy

On Wednesday, I had a busy afternoon. First I went to Marionnaud‘s press conference to explore the house’s newest beauty brand BE CREATIVE MAKEUP, followed by a fashion show with Montblanc for the 6th edition of MODE SUISSE inside Zurich’s Lichthof.

This week has been perfect, many amazing things have happened and I am extremely happy. That might have been the reason for the pink splash of color I added to this elegant outfit giving it a joyful and fresh upgrade. And as you see, I had quite some fun taking those pictures.

Lagerfeld, Louboutin Design for Vuitton

The Icon and the Iconoclasts

LV gets a new meaning… Lagerfeld Vuitton, Louboutin Vuitton… sounds too good to be true?! It is reality, on September 10, 2014, Louis Vuitton will reveal the amazing collaboration with the group of six famous creatives as part of THE ICON AND THE ICONOCLASTS project.

Among those visionaries from the worlds of fashion, art and design are Karl Lagerfeld, Rei Kawabuko, Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Marc Newson and Frank Gehry, who has also designed the window displays for September.

LV Iconoclasts

Each of them has been given ‘carte blanche‘ to to reinterpret the brand’s iconic monogram bag or luggage. The limited edition pieces will go on sale from mid-October in a very select number of Louis Vuitton stores and range between €2000 – 4000.

Monogram LV Keepall45

Classic Monogram Keepall 45 by Louis Vuitton

The monogram was launched with worldwide patents on it in 1896 by Georges Vuitton as a tribute to his late father Louis, who had died in 1892, and was considered revolutionary in its time. Its graphic symbols, including quatrefoils and flowers (as well as the LV monogram), were based on the trend of using Japanese and Oriental designs in the late Victorian era.

Today, Louis Vuitton revealed some exclusive behind the scene photos of the creative process!
Cannot wait to see the results on September 10, 2014! Stay tuned!

Designer to Watch: Irene Luft

Irene Luft S:S 2015

During Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin in July, one designer caught my eye: IRENE LUFT. I have loved almost every single piece she sent down the S/S 2015 runway. Airy, light, feminine, her designs made of PLAUEN LACE are breathtaking.

Based in Munich, Russian-born Irene Luft followed her mother’s tracks, a master tailor, and did her apprenticeship as a couture artisan. She graduated with distinction from the renowned German Master Craftsmen School for Fashion (Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode) and later from the Akademie für Mode & Design in Munich.

Irene Luft 7

The most stunning detail of her work is the use of the famous PLAUEN LACE, a product of Saxon textile art, which has become a crucial part of every collection. The beautiful material was at its best in 1900, when it won the Grand Prix at the World Exhibition in Paris but fell into a deep slumber during the world economic crisis in the late 1920ies. As the first high fashion designer she revived and thereby somehow inherited the spirit of Plauen Lace, the tradition and know-how of a seemingly already lost part of fashion.
