My Look: Dinner Party

Sandra_Bauknecht_Park_weggis_Dinner_Party

Two weeks ago, I accepted a lovely invitation by Silvio Denz, CEO and President of LALIQUE, to join him for an amazing dinner experience at Park Weggis, the partner hotel of Villa René Lalique, that was constructed in 1920 and brought back to life by my host in September 2015. Today, it boasts six exclusive suites and an up-scale gourmet restaurant. Manning the kitchen is none other than two-star chef and autodidact Jean-Georges Klein who had come to Weggis for this evening to spoil us with his dishes that are colourful and rich in contrast, for the eyes, the palate and the bite.

Silvio_Denz_Sandra_Bauknecht_J-M_KleinSilvio Denz to my left and Jean-George Klein to my right.

In terms of fashion, I went for an outfit that sported cascading layers of soft silk chiffon with a ‘trompe l’oeil‘ illusion of voluminous, layered ruffles. The feminine colours ensured a party-ready appearance.

My look: Feather cape by Balmain, sequined-bow tiered silk-chiffon gownfringed cracked-leather pumps, feline earrings with crystalsfringed cracked-leather pumps, gold-tone crystal bracelet and crystal embellished ring, all by Gucci, envelope bag by Céline and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

LoL, Sandra

Dolce & Gabbana Opening Party in Zurich

Dolce_Gabbana_Store_opening_Sandra_Bauknecht

Last week, when I got back from New York, I attended in the evening the opening celebration of Dolce & Gabbana‘s new boutique in Zurich, the first one directly operated by the brand in Switzerland. Located at Bahnhofstrasse 10, the new 830 m2 three-story flagship offers women’s, men’s and children swear collections as well as a large selection of accessories. Male customers can also benefit from a special made to measure service.

Guests were browsing the store and everybody loved the new sunglasses. The natural beauty of the flora of Italy is interpreted in this luxurious and fashion forward limited edition eyewear collection.

My look: Printed silk jumpsuitmatching satin sandals, transparent beltgreen ‘Miss Sicily’ bag and crystal-embellished key earrings, all by Dolce & Gabbana.

LoL, Sandra

If you have read the February issue of L’OFFICIEL Switzerland, you might remember Monika Wildi and her fabulous Zurich based online shop FASHIONVESTIS. Three years ago she started this fashion adventure. Today she carries a great selection of young brands and upcoming designers.

Get the look: Blue sweater by Paul & Joeraffia shopper by Vanessa Bruno, white shirt, embroidered shorts and cowboy boots, all three by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini.

Serafini

Great news is that you can find the beautiful collection of Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini at FASHION VESTIS. The former Dolce & Gabbana womenswear designer was appointed in October 2014 as Creative Director of the brand that was founded in 1984 by Alberta Ferretti.
His second runway collection for Philosophy showcases beautiful dresses lush with painterly florals and Victorian embellishments, spicing it up with a hint of the undone prairie girl.

IMG_3093The package comes beautifully wrapped if you order at Fashion Vestis.

I couldn’t resist those two looks, stay tuned for the outfit posts coming up soon…

My Look: Swiss Red Cross Gala in St. Moritz

Sandra_Bauknecht_Swiss_red_cross_Gala_St_Moritz

Mid February, St. Moritz hosted for the first time a Swiss Red Cross Gala, also marking the 150th anniversary of this institution. In celebration of this great cause, the iconic White Turf tent was supposed to be the stunning location on the frozen lake to welcome over 300 guests from the business, economic, political and cultural worlds. Unfortunately due to the warm weather conditions, the event had to shift to Badrutt’s Palace Hotel.

My look: Patchwork lace peplum gown by Alessandra RichJanis leather pumps by Saint Laurent, diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery, ice cube bag and pearl earrings, both by Chanel.

Chanel_Icecube_bag

The evening’s theme was: «clean water for every day». The gala’s proceeds will therefore go towards helping the victims of forgotten disasters and the water program in Nepal.
Clean drinking water and functioning sewage treatment systems are things we take for granted in Switzerland. They are part of our lives. However, the daily lives of well over 700 million people around the world are very different. They have no access to even a minimum of clean water.

In Geneva for SIHH

SIHH2015_Time_to_shine_Sandra_Bauknecht

Today and running through the week, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH) has opened its doors. Only invited journalists and retailers from around the world are able to visit this most exclusive watch fair in Geneva at the Palexpo convention center. Renowned watch brands, such as IWC Schaffhausen, Audemars Piguet, Piaget, Montblanc, Cartier, Vacheron Constantin just to name a few display their newest timepieces. As all of these houses have in general famous ambassadors, you will most likely run in many celebrities at the exhibition. In the evening, exclusive events take place. One that is definitely not to miss is IWC Schaffhausen’s gala night which always takes place on Tuesday evening. Enjoy some of my impressions of last year and stay tuned for the new ones coming up soon!

hublot-SIHH-2015-ladies-watch-Big-Bang-Broderie-As SIHH is all about watches, I would like to show you two of my favorite models I spotted last year. First the Big Bang Broderie by Hublot. Sized at 41mm, these beautiful watches come in three styles (two are shown in the picture). All are limited to 200 pieces, each style.

Capture d’écran 2014-12-17 à 23.13.05And second, Cartier‘s Rêve de Panthère watch. In this spectacular creation, Cartier’s panther emblem enters the decoration – at once diurnal and nocturnal – of a day/night movement that belongs to the great tradition of the Maison’s complications. Like by magic, The background sky changes from starry night to shining sun for an extraordinary interpretation of time measurement.

Enjoy your day!

Amour de Vie Gala in Zurich

Amour de Vie Gala in Zurich

Two weeks ago, I attended Switzerland’s first «Amour de Vie – a fabulous night for a good cause“» charity event at the Park Hyatt in Zurich. A special benefit auction in collaboration with Sandra Nedvetskaia and top live entertainment ( The Bourbon Street Band from Manchester and DJ Young Bugs) guaranteed a unique, young fest to gather fundings for RIGHT TO PLAY. 100 % of all auction and Tombola proceeds raised CHF 27.450 that night.

A great cause and a fun party! We at L’Officiel Switzerland knew immediately we had to be part of it and became media partner ofd this fab event!
