I love peonies, they are my favorite flowers. It is such a pity that their season is very limited, usually May to June. I love their frilly ruffles of petals and it always amazes me how such a beautiful flower can bloom from such a small tight hard bud. To me, they are the most beautiful right before they die. My daughter said something very sweet to me recently: «Mum, if you were a flower, you would definitely be a peony as you get more beautiful with age.»

Today’s look is inspired by this gem of nature. Burgundy and pink worn together is a colour combination that I personally absolutely adore. When the two hues meet, it’s pure magic.
My look: Katerina merino wool sweater
and Wade high-rise flared jeans, both by Ulla Johnson, platform patent-leather loafers by Givenchy
, Aby Lock small printed leather shoulder bag by Chloé, stingray sunglasses by Louis Vuitton, Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet, JUSTE UN CLOU bracelet in rose gold with diamonds, LOVE bracelet SM in white gold, LOVE bracelet in rose gold with 4 diamonds, and CLASH DE CARTIER bracelet SM in rose gold, all by Cartier, Coco Crush bracelet in yellow gold by CHANEL, gold chunky necklace by Dior, Rose Céleste necklace in 18k yellow and white gold, diamond, onyx and mother-of-pearl, and Astro Dior aquarius necklace, both by Dior Fine Jewellery.
By the way, in floriography, the language of flowers, peonies represent all the good stuff: good fortune, happy marriage, riches, honour, and compassion and surprisingly, bashfulness. Cheers to that! May we all have a little peony-wisdom in our lives this spring.
LoL, Sandra

Since yesterday, the restaurants and shops are open again in Switzerland – however, under certain restrictions, as the next stage of the country’s gradual reopening of society. I took the opportunity to dress up and see my girlfriends for lunch which was lovely. Nevertheless, being in the city doesn’t feel the same yet and shopping is more of a frustrating nightmare as you are not really allowed to touch or try anything. I will stay with online shopping for a while, that’s for sure!

Today’s post is for a good cause, tonight taking place exclusively on Instagram (@thedigitalcarpet), I will wear one of my favorite gowns ever. The Digital Carpet is a live event and everyone can join. No matter where you are, it starts at 7pm sharp and will be a moment of virtual escapism and fashion fairytale mirroring iconic red-carpet moments. Choose a dress code, get ready, send your look and donate to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
For my dear readers, here is my look beforehand. A red stunning gown created by LA-based fashion designer Monique Lhuillier. The daughter of a French diplomat always admired the lavish gowns her mother and other stylish guests would wear to high-profile events, moving her to create her eponymous eveningwear label. Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift and Emma Watson are all fans of the intricately detailed and expertly crafted silhouettes.
My look: Embellished one-sleeve tulle gown
by Monique Lhuillier, gold bar clutch bag by CHANEL, gold red crystal scared heart earrings by Dolce & Gabbana, and leather platform pumps by Gucci.
I hope that I will get to wear this gown soon on a real red carpet though and don’t need to wait for Christmas …

Go Girl! It has been raining now almost over a week and you better be back in boots and shell jackets. This Alexander Wang denim look includes two of the coolest pieces I have in my closet, a very tight denim shirt and those hot pants that are layered to look as though you have a denim jacket tied around your waist.
For my very attentive readers who have been asking me why I am enjoying two different pools. The answer is simple, I am currently in between houses. My fiancé and I are reconstructing our new home and we will be moving in in the end of the year.
Let me know if you would be interested in seeing the interior design process. Dressing myself or a home is something I truly love to do. And our new house will be so amazing.
My look: Belted shell jacket
and buckled leather and shell platform boots
, both by Prada, textured leather-trimmed denim shirt and tie-front distressed denim shorts
, both by Alexander Wang, Boy bag with chains by CHANEL, and plissé sunglasses
by Dolce Gabbana.

A common refrain during the COVID-19 pandemic: Life is a blur. The days all seem to blend together — is it Tuesday or Friday? It’s Thursday! Before the lockdown, my week consisted of a handful of recurring activities, obligations and other plans. I knew it is Thursday because I am my having my yoga class. Being stuck at home has completely distorted my sense of time. I have to remind myself which day of the week it actually is. Therefore, I decided to make life feel a little more normal by adding a routine to my week and by dressing up in a very comfy way when working at my desk. Today’s look has become actually my favorite quarantine outfit!

However, I am spending even more time looking at my screen with multiple Zoom Meetings, so many posts to be written and changes to adapt. Therefore a ritual that has become pretty additive for me is the application of my LA MER EYE CONCENTRATE. It adds some structure to my life in quarantine, helps me to focus when my thoughts are drifting away at home.
My look: GG logo jersey jacket
, matching GG logo jersey sweat pants, red T-shirt with tennis embroidery, Rajah large embellished leather-trimmed tweed tote
, Dionysus leather-trimmed bouclé-tweed shoulder bag
, Angelina crystal-embellished tweed sandals, all by Gucci
, bow-detailed embellished satin headband
by Prada, and hoop earrings by CHANEL.

Today is World Dance Day, a global celebration of dance, that takes place every year on 29 April. Ever since I was a little girl dance has always been my favorite sport.
When house cleaning sucks, especially with no help during quarantine, I love to dress up, put the music on and dance while doing chores. So much more fun and thanks to my new noise-cancelling headphones (for more infos, see yesterday’s post here) nobody gets disturbed.
Let’s face it — It’s more productive to clean the house while singing and dancing to a catchy tune.

For my birthday, I wore this combination that I truly adore. The way the flowers are attached to the dress and bag is so artful. However, the combination of lace adds this unexpected twist. Looking back at these photos made me realize how much I miss my girlfriends, how much I miss these beautiful and careless lunches we spent together. Let’s hope that we will be soon back to normal.

Candy colors I love – we look cute together. Madame de Pompadour and Marie Antoinette would surely agree with me as they are best known for favoring hues such as baby blue and pale pink in particular. Those soft and sweet feminine shades represent a dramatic break with the dark and moody colors often favored in wintertime, which has long given pastels a strong affiliation with the spring and summer months. For me at the moment, they represent a new beginning and the association with holidays and escapism after those quarantine days.
