Total Styling Lab: Venus in Fur

Venus

Here it is look N°2 from LuisaViaRoma’s Firenze4Ever Total Styling Lab, so-called “Venus in Fur”. Some might not be so delighted about winter’s must-have, but fur was one of the trend materials on the runways. A fur vest is a great investment piece, very versatile to wear.

The `60s inspired dress by Giambattista Valli has a fun detail. The attached cape can be worn as a hood. I especially like the neon-coloured little waist band.

Céline’ s box bag has definitely become a classic. For this outfit, I chose the leopard print version which I find very chic. To shop the look, just click on the highlighted text:

Total Styling Lab: Feather Girl

Feather GirlX

My dear readers, I still owe you all those photos from the LuisaViaRoma Firenze4Ever 3rd Edition Total Styling Lab with all the fab pieces from the upcoming F/W 2011 season.

Here is my first look I called „Feather Girl“ because of those amazing shoes, aren’t they divine? It is always a great investment to get a pair of statement shoes as they will make every outfit something special. The Bayswater Mulberry bag has also a beautiful feather print on the leather.

If you don’t have a vest yet, I truly recommend getting one, preferably with some fur embellishments. It is a must this winter!
And last but not least the jumpsuit is definitely back! I know that it can be quite unpractical, you know what I mean… but nevertheless it is such a stylish piece of clothes that you should absolutely consider.

For shopping, just click on the highlighted description below:

By the way, isn’t the location on the terrasse overlooking Florence and the Duomo just wonderful? Makes me dream of those wonderful days…

Life Beautifully Arranged with Vertu

Signature_white gold_front_white

Signature White Gold: 34.000€

Last week, I met Perry Oosting, President of Vertu. During the lovely press dinner, I have learnt a lot about the phone that is truly more than just a phone. I have to admit that I was pretty impressed.
I am familiar with the concierge service you get once you own an American Express Centurion Card but that something like this exists also when buying a phone, I didn’t know.

IMG_6447Perry Oosting (Photo: © Sandra Bauknecht)

„Vertu was born from a simple question: why would someone not wish to enjoy the same quality in their mobile phone as they did in their grand complication watch, fountain pen, luxury car or any other premium product? Luxury experience and enrichment was foremost in the minds of that team; every customer touch point was to be attended to and the experience was to be something truly special. What came of this was something that has become Vertu’s unique differentiator, and something for which it has become renowned: a dedicated concierge service, available at the touch of a button. This service grew into something much more: a full suite of luxury services, partnerships, benefits and opportunities, channeling relevant, tailored information, sourced independently by Vertu for its customers. The luxury of time really is something precious, and for the Vertu user, these dedicated services that are delivered to the phone help them to maintain a life that is beautifully arranged.“

Saturday’s Outfit: Dirndl Time

Lech

Here is my outfit that I wore to the second wedding celebration on Saturday. The party took place in Lech, Austria and the dress code was dirndl. For my foreign reader: This is a type of traditional dress worn in Bavaria, Austria and other Alpine areas. What might seem to you more like a historical costume, is pretty normal for us and it is definitely a look that suits every woman.

I wanted to go for a not so traditional outfit and have been collecting designer pieces over many years. Here is the outcome:

Checked Dress with Black Silk Lining, Shoes, Blouse, Choker and Hat by Dolce & Gabbana, Apron by Prada, Embroidered Bag by Valentino, Earrings, Ring, Badges and Gamsbart by Gucci, Watch by Roger Dubuis.

What a fun party!

Princess Charlene of Monaco in Armani Privé

Charlene Armani Privé

Yesterday, Charlene Wittstock and Prince Albert of Monaco made it official with a religious ceremony at the main courtyard in the palace in front of 4000 invited guests.

The bride looked stunning in a breath-taking custom-made Armani Privé (the haute couture line of Giorgio Armani) silk duchesse off-the-shoulder ivory gown with subtle pearl and gold-tinted Swarovski crystal embellishments and an amazing train.

A long off-white silk tulle veil was placed on top of her chignon which had quite a very beautiful diamond encrusted floral accent.

For the evening reception and gala, Charlene wore another fantastic Armani Privé gown. The newlyweds looked much more relaxed than during the religious ceremony and had definitely the world’s largest wedding cake ever.

Wedding Fever

Charlene

It is the weekend of weddings, Charlene Wittstock, now called Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene, has finally married long-time bachelor Prince Albert, son of late Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier, in Monaco and Kate Moss has tied the knot with indie rocker Jamie Hince in Cotswolds. We all have been speculating the last weeks what the famous brides will be wearing for their big day.

Charlene went for Chanel and wore a pale blue suit jacket with beautiful lace trims and a long, flowing skirt.

“It’s a collaboration between me and Karl Lagerfeld,Charlene explained to Vogue. “We wanted something to match the color of my eyes. It is my creation and I’m proud of it. It’s feminine and keeps with tradition yet has a little twist that reflects my personal style. I thought it was a nice change to go for trousers instead of a skirt, especially since I’m an athlete and have always kept my clothes clean and simple.”

Let’s see what she will be wearing today for the religious ceremony. Rumours are that she decided to go for Armani…

Montblanc_Wedding_Pen_Registry_Image_3.jpg_cmyk

Montblanc_Wedding_Pen_Nib.jpg_cmykMontblanc takes part in the crowning moments as they have created a one-of-a-kind writing instrument, a Création Privée from the Artisan Atelier Hamburg, that the couple used to seal their civil union.

The very unique fountain pen is embellished with precious stones (161 rubies and 128 diamonds) and the monogram of the Princely Couple.

Kate Moss

Kate Moss looked absolutely stunning in her John Galliano vintage-style dress with sequins and rhinestone details. She teamed it with Manolo Blahnik shoes.

After the furore in Spring surrounding John Galliano (he was sacked as chief designer of Christian Dior for an anti-semitic tirade), she was said to be in turmoil but she stood by her friend John Galliano after all.

Thereis only one KateWouldn’t you sign this?!

I am invited this weekend as well to two weddings and I am off now to Austria…
Congrats to all newlyweds!

LoL, Sandra
