It is fall, the weather has been dreadful but in terms of fashion we are already entering a new season. The first Cruise 2014 pieces have hit the shelves and I couldn’t be more excited about those pastel shades and mood-boosting colors.
Get the look: Mahima crepe blazer and Firoza stretch-crepe wide-leg pants, both By Malene Birger, printed jersey T-shirt by RED Valentino, PS11 Classic textured-leather shoulder bag by Proenza Schouler and stripe leather, suede and canvas sandals
by Sophia Webster.

Last night, Sotheby’s achieved the highest jewelry sale in history with a total of $199,512,930 (CHF 183,054,500) in Geneva, Switzerland.
The highlight of the auction was an enormous diamond known as “The Pink Star”, which sold for $83,187,381 (CHF 76,325,00), far surpassing its expected price of $60 million. It is the highest price ever paid for a gemstone at an auction.

Representing an anonymous buyer, the vivid and flawless 59.60-carat vivid pink diamond was bought by the famous New York-based diamond cutter Isaac Wolf, who has renamed it after the sale “The Pink Dream”. It received the highest color and clarity grades from GIA for pink diamonds. Mined by De Beers in Africa in 1999, the 132.5 carat rough diamond was painstakingly cut and polished over a period of two years and transformed into this stunning gemstone. It was presented for the first time at auction last night.

Looking outside at this dreadful weather, I love taking a hot shower. LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS has launched three new shower gels for the fall season, of which one is for men, that give you a little mood boost during this stormy season.
Verveine & Citron (Verbena & Lemon) Shower Gel gently cleanses, nourishes and hydrates the skin. Its scent is fresh and fruity.
Lait d’Acacia (Acacia Milk) Shower Gel comes with a delicate smell of flowers. It contains milk from acacia blossoms which is very soft and extremely moisturizing.
Bois de Cade & Fougère (Cade & Fern) Shower Gel for Men has a masculine woody smell and promises to nourish the skin while stimulating his (and probably also her) senses.
In Switzerland available at Coop for CHF 3.95 each (250ml).

This winter, it is all about the plaid factor. The pattern that somehow manages to straddle the not-so-fine-line between preppy and punk has suddenly proven itself as this season’s principle print. Check your boyfriend’s closet for an oversized version or shop Saint Laurent‘s iconic piece offering the perfect avante-garde grunge aesthetic.
My look: Plaid shirt, leather shift dress and studded leather boots, all by Saint Laurent, Bamboo leather tote
by Gucci, Stephanie gold-tone necklace by Lanvin, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond ring, both by Piaget.

The new scent ANYWAY by Juliette has a Gun is different from what you would expect. Romano Ricci surprises with his new creation that brings a breath of freshness, simplicity and softness with the unusual mixture of citrusy and woody-floral components.
It symbolizes simplicity in the face of frivolity with just fifteen ingredients, going right back to basics, only keeping the best. Anyway is a signature fragrance ready to unite with the feminine as much as the masculine.

Top notes: Neroli and Lime
Middle notes: Jasmine
Base notes: Musk, Hedione and Ambrox Molecules
Available now as Eau de Parfum for CHF 117.00 (50ml) and CHF 153.00 (100ml).

Last Thursday, I hosted with MCM together an event at their Zurich store to celebrate the brand’s ART OF BACKPACK. Enjoying some fancy cocktails by Campari and listening to the sounds of DJ Jason Storm, guests were able to get their picture taken with a backpack from the Visetos line that features a blue and white diagonal design enhanced with MCM’s logo and gold studs inspired by Zürich’s coat of arms.

Now, the photos are uploaded on MCM‘s Facebook wall. There will only be one lucky winner to receive a backpack and you can choose him or her – vote and like your top look of the season. Scroll through this post to see some more of my favorites at the end of this post!

Debora Zeyrek (diamondphoto.ch) took all the contest photos and I have to say I was impressed how well the gentlemen posed in front of her camera!

For Swiss male supermodel Fabian Pfenninger posing is daily business as you can see.

The girls were already fighting over the Visetos backpack…

No doubt that the cutest of all was little Cosmo!
It was a great night – a huge thank you to Bettina and the whole MCM team!

Fashion luminary and cult collaborator KARL LAGERFELD’s new Choupette collection is dedicated to the designer’s beloved animal friend. The accessories line features handbags, along with scarfs, hats and many more fashionable pieces, all inspired by his famously pampered cat.

I am so happy about the little gift from Paris that has arrived this weekend at my doorstep. How cute is this knitted cap with cat’s ears and leather whiskers?!

The collection will be available to buy from Lagerfeld stores from November 11, 2013.

Estée Lauder unveiled Modern Muse, the new fragrance inspired by the intriguing duality of today’s woman, with a spectacular muse-themed party held at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum during New York Fashion Week.

The glamorous event was attended by fashion, art, design, media, and film industry luminaries and their muses and I felt very honored to have been invited.

The highlight of the evening was a performance by The Dolls: Mia Moretti and Margot, who curated an unforgettable musical experience, in celebration of all modern muses, with live vocals by Margot and the debut of their new single “Southern Swing (Ft. The Original Pinettes).”

Enjoy my photos from this amazing night and see all the celebs which were there!

Being a huge fan of Tom Ford‘s Jasmin Rouge scent, I couldn’t have been more excited about the new matching color collection. There almost nothing as sexy as red lips and nails. Cherry or crimson, mix and match, the latest launch for the season is a fun one with names such as Rouge Fatale and Vampire Kiss for your lips while you can paint nails in Trophy Wife (my favorite as seen on my nails below, the perfect red with a hint of pink shimmer) and Shameless. Love it.

Prices are CHF 62.00 for the lipstick and CHF 42.00 for the nail polish.

While I am preparing all my upcoming Christmas posts, I have received today the first press mailing regarding Valentine’s Day. How crazy is this? This hard case CANDY clutch with a bold, sexy print on a glossy mirrored surface by JIMMY CHOO is so gorgeous, I had to show it to you immediately. It is part of a collection for which red is translated in a spectrum of rich deep ruby, attention grabbing neon flame to dusty rose pink hues.
Get yourselves on the wait list now, ladies!
