It can take skilled artisans up to 300 hours to embroider and appliqué one of those numbered limited edition styles. From the painstaking hand embroidery to the Liberty-print lining, every detail is carefully considered. For Resort 2020, Olympia Le-Tan seeked inspiration from glamorous holiday destinations.

Fashion – this is my love. Classically inspired – masterfully staged – just like the beautiful Maestro Suite at The Dolder Grand hotel in Zurich that is an homage to music and Herbert von Karajan housed in the tower of the Main Building over two floors. My favorite part during my stay was playing the Steinway grand piano – the second of only three ever made jubilee replicas based on the first Steinway B211 grand built in 1836.

The «Rain» capsule collection of rubber shoes is futuristic, dynamic and playful. It presents a new take on iconic styles by Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s Artistic Director of Women’s Collections, and embraces femininity in movement, with a multi-faceted selection.

Playing around with the elements and seasons, roaming landscapes without letting go of your natural attitude, your ‘joie de vivre’, your femininity: that’s the movement driven by this new shoe capsule known as «Rain», that Louis Vuitton will launch mid-January.

Following it’s launch in June of 2019, The Marc Jacobs – the new line from Marc Jacobs International – is opening in Paris’ Le Marais neighborhood. Located at 30 rue des Archives, the store will offer the full range of items across all product categories. The new line celebrates the eclectic and individual approach to getting dressed. «We wanted to do something that is unlike the collections we are already doing, in that it is more ‘item-y.’» said Jacobs.
