Merry X-mas to all of you. Christmas Eve was absolutely fantastic being surrounded by my loved ones in the comfort of my own home. In the morning after my last minute shopping tour, my daughter and I decorated our Christmas tree that turned out to be very girly in pink, white and silver with a touch of black. A few years ago, I decided to get an artificial tree. I always felt bad to cut one for only those few days and hated the cleaning up after the season was over. With the fake snow, I really love its look and to achieve this iconic pine smell, I use a little trick (Please click here for last year’s post). Each season, I also opt for another color scheme.

In the evening, we ate great food and dressed up just enough to feel special, but still be comfy. We always end up playing fun games and talk until late. After dinner, we exchanged gifts – the little extra magic and sparkle of a Christmas Eve. Being a mum, I felt like Sandra Claus seeing my daughter’s eyes filled with joy and happiness. It is one of those magical moments you treasure forever. My hubby really surprised me in a fun way. He had “bribed” my personal shopper at net-à-porter
and got me some of my favorite items from my wish list. My personal shopper told me she had to take them out of my basket as they were defect and I had been so disappointed… great idea, I have to say! I cannot wait to show you my new pieces.

My look for Christmas Eve matching my tree:
Pink cowl-back silk-sateen dress (from the new Resort 2014 collection, also available in black) and pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps, both by Saint Laurent, art deco earrings by Prada, cuff by Chanel, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond ring, both by Piaget, Twenties stay-up by Wolford.

Together with Piaget, I hosted a very special evening called “Soirée de la Couture Précieuse” at the Swiss brand’s store on Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich this month. I invited a small circle of friends that also enjoy the beauty of outstanding high jewelry creations.
Piaget‘s enchanting couture collection, first presented at the Biennale des Antiquitaires in 2012, was flown in from Paris on this special occasion. It was a true feast for all senses. While we were enjoying a gourmet dinner by Marco Pfleiderer at the large festive table in the middle of the shop, models presented the finest and most precious jewels, an ode to femininity and seduction. Later, we were able to explore the different facets by trying the pieces ourselves.
If you need a last minute inspiration for a Christmas gift, here you go. To find out more about the Couture Précieuse collection, I kindly invite you to read this previous post with all the details.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound… how sweet the sweater. I love this bright blue piece from the special collaboration, PRINCESS GRACE, MORE THAN AN IMAGE, between Pringle of Scotland and Central Saint Martins. It is so perfect in combination with my new bag.

by Gucci, bleached denim scarf by Louis Vuitton, floral sunglasses by Dolce & Gabbana, Choupette wool hat by Karl Lagerfeld, fringed boots by Isabel Marant for H&M, Falda bag with grey calf hair by Rodtnes and ring by Piaget.

It’s a plaid, plaid world out there this winter. The pattern that somehow manages to handle the difficult line between preppy and punk has suddenly proven itself as this season’s iconic and must-have print and I just cannot get enough of it.
My look: Duffle coat, embellished plaid wool dress and studded boots, all by Saint Laurent, Boy bag with chains by Chanel and Limelight Gala watch by Piaget.

In Paris I was shot by my favorite street style photographer Melanie Galea from The Street Muse for a project with Tank Magazine and Silhouette. She was so sweet to take my camera for more pics of my outfit that was all about Dolce & Gabbana‘s Byzantine moment for F/W 2013.

My look: Blazer by Balmain, lace top and
mosaic-print wool and silk-blend skirt, all by Dolce & Gabbana, pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps
by Saint Laurent, Stephanie gold-tone necklace by Lanvin, rose diamond ring by Piaget and My Own Code clutch by Valentino and Futura sunglasses by Silhouette.

This was my outfit I wore to the Piaget Rose Garden Party at my place. I kept it very simple to draw attention to the beautiful diamonds. The semi-sheer style of my dress is precisely lined to provide coverage exactly where it’s needed and to show skin in the right spots.
Shop my look: Crochet-knit gown
by Missoni, Tribute patent-leather sandals and Betty leather shoulder bag, both by Saint Laurent, diamond rose ring, necklace and Limelight Gala watch, all by Piaget.

This fall, I hosted a very special event at my place: The PIAGET Rose Garden Party. Being an ambassador for the brand, I was very excited to invite my friends to explore the PIAGET ROSE collection and the amazing COCKTAIL inspired statement rings during a beautiful late summer night. My garden was filled with lots of Yves Piaget roses that have the most exquisite scent one can imagine and we all enjoyed this night surrounded by precious jewelry pieces, good friends and delicious food. Enjoy some impressions below!

Aren’t we all driven by something? For the opening night of the Zurich Film Festival, I was driven by this Saint Laurent S/S 2013 runway look. I love the sweeping asymmetric hem of this stretch-crepe gown that is balanced by padded shoulders and a voluminous pussy-bow tie.
My look: Sequin-embellished stretch-crepe gown, wide-brimmed rabbit and cotton-blend felt fedora
, pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps, all by Saint Laurent, ‘My Own Code’ clutch by Valentino, Limelight Gala watch and diamond rose ring by Piaget.

By the way, I can only recommend the movie RUSH, that was shown at the opening night of the Zurich Film Festival. Directed by Academy Award winning Ron Howard, the film is set in the epic 1976 racing season and narrating the legendary rivalry between Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth).

The movie offers a lot emotional scenes and ladies, believe me, you will die watching Chris Hemsworth. He is so good-looking and captivating with those divine eyes.

Massimiliano Giornetti, Creative Director of Salvatore Ferragamo, designed the costumes worn by Daniel Brühl and Alexandra Maria Lara, who is playing on-screen the champion’s wife, Marlene. Gucci‘s Creative Director Frida Giannini has dipped into the archives to dress the opponents Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde. Another good reason to watch the movie…

Inspired by the paintings of Flemish Old Masters (Vermeer in particular), Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s F/W 2013 collection for Valentino is absolutely gorgeous and has been top of my wish list for the winter season.
My look: Intarsia stretch-knit dress
and ‘My Own Code’ clutch, both by Valentino, pointed leather Mary-Jane pumps by Saint Laurent and diamond rose ring by Piaget.

Last week in London, I stayed for the first time at the Haymarket Hotel which I adored. My avid readers know that I am usually loving the Browns Hotel but sometimes a little change is great. Today, I was supposed to fly again to the UK for a wonderful press trip with Cowshed but had to cancel last minute… so I enjoy those sweet memories.
My comfy look: Black double-breasted wool coat with gold bars by Givenchy, the perfect grey cashmere sweater with suede elbow patches by Saint Laurent, jeggings by Marc by Marc Jacobs, studded biker boots and sunglasses by Miu Miu, Bamboo leather tote
by Gucci, diamond rose ring, necklace and Limelight Gala watch, all by Piaget.
