Today, Munich’s Oktoberfest would be kicking off, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the current pandemic. Personally speaking, visiting the world’s biggest beer festival in my old hometown always marked the beginning of fall for me. I absolutely love wearing those fabulous traditional clothes. Therefore today’s post is dedicated to a loden-style designer look and I truly hope you will like it.
My look: Tyrolean loden jacket, matching loden shorts, and bow-top felted cap, all by Miu Miu, bustier corset top with bows by Dolce & Gabbana, embellished leather pumps
by Gucci, black and white grained leather bag with gold-tone metal details by CHANEL, and velvet and gold-tone multi-stone choker by Etro.
LoL, Sandra

After Resort 2020‘s clever styling trick (see trouser tuck) that has seen sandals wrapped around your pants, designers are taking the trend up a notch this fall and present trousers in tapered shape with ties at the cuffs that offer the same stylish effect.

Happy Monday to all of you! Being in quarantine made me realize once more to be grateful for every day when you wake up healthy, for every moment you can spend with someone you love. In challenging times it’s more than important to focus on positive things, work on your goals and dreams. Take time for yourself to think! Become your own muse, your own motivation, and your source of inspiration. You don’t need anyone else, just yourself. This will also help you to gain confidence and most importantly self-love which will make you shine from the inside.

Be a diva in a positive way. Enjoy dressing up – even at the pool! Exude great style and personality with confidence and express your own style while not letting others influence who you are or want to be. I am wishing you a happy weekend. I am going to spend mine in my garden and you?

Yesterday was probably one of the most emotional days in my life. My daughter went off to college, flying to the US by herself as I was not allowed to accompany her due to the current pandemic. This truly breaks my heart. Not only letting her go is pretty tough on me, but not being there for her to settle in is even harder. However, I know that she will be fine, she grew into an amazing and independent woman and I am proud of her.
We took those photos this week, when she caught me thinking on my balcony. Not only I am loosing my daughter at home, but also my photographer. That is also pretty tough for me!
My look: Dioraura cashmere sweater, and medium Bobby bag in latte, both by Dior, ribbed modal and cotton-blend jersey tank
by Saint Laurent, chain-embellished macramé and leather pumps, both by Bottega Veneta, chain-trimmed mid-rise skinny jeans
by Gucci, Monogram denim shawl in blue yellow fluo and Nanogram whistle pendant, both by Louis Vuitton, and Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet.
Empty nest syndrome? I prefer to think of it as Martin Luther King Day… «Free at last!» Life is just in front of me, that is the beauty of having been a young mum!

This week was so emotional for me. I had to watch my daughter’s graduation via Youtube as parents were not allowed at the ceremony due to the current corona situation. I am so proud of her and cannot believe that my little girl will be leaving soon to study in Boston. When I picked her up, I wore my very own varsity sweater. I will be off to Saint Laurent university… just saying.
My look: Crewneck varsity logo sweater
by Saint Laurent, appliquéd high-rise tapered jeans
by Gucci, pencil box clutch
by Dolce & Gabbana, stretch-knit pumps by Prada, and Aurora oversized butterfly acetate sunglasses
by Zimmermann.

As announced in yesterday’s post, today is World Oceans Day, the United Nations day for celebrating the role of the oceans in our everyday life and inspiring action to protect the ocean and sustainably use marine resources. We can all do something for the environment. Even if you are not close to an ocean, you can make an effort to keep your local shores clean. This also works around Lake Zurich. Don’t forget, small acts can make a huge impact.
Today, in honor of this special day, I am wearing a look from Mary Katrantzou‘s beautiful Mary Mare collection. This shell print couldn’t be a better fit.
As the LA MER Blue Heart mission will donate $25 to the LA MER Blue Heart Oceans fund for each public post that will use #LaMerBlueHeart and #LaMerDonation together, I will surely post a picture to Instagram. The power of the sea lives within us all. Therefore I kindly invite you to also share your connection with the Earth’s ocean…
My look: Mary Mare Firenze shell-print linen midi dress by Mary Katrantzou, matching trainers in orange shells by Superga x Mary Katrantzou, Valensole raffia hat
by Jacquemus, embellished woven straw tote by Rosie Assoulin, silver necklace with shells
by Prada, and cat-eye marbled-acetate sunglasses by Gucci.
