Before Chanel’s F/W 2013 makeup collection Superstition (post coming up soon) will finally become available here in Switzerland at the end of this month, we can indulge in the beautiful Chanel COLLECTION ROUGE ALLURE MOIRÉ which will hit the shelves this week. Inspired by the beauty and refinement of overflowing fabrics and ribbons, the warm and delicate moiré colours heighten the charm and mystery of intangible makeup.

Let’s take a closer look at those new irresistible products:

Each name of the eight shades could be used to describe a seductive and mysterious woman. You just have to find out which one suits you best! Do you feel stunning, fierce or mysterious?

This is the most stylish I got in Iceland. First of all, it was freezing cold (Thank God, I brought this padded gilet with me!), second of all, I have never felt the urge to dress up or put on make-up. Everything is just laid back and very relaxing.

Being on “luxury withdrawal therapy” is kind of fun for one week, but now I cannot wait to bring back some glamour into my life. Stay also tuned for the upcoming post about the most breathtaking sceneries I have seen on the island.

If you think, isn’t she a little too old for being a Directioner?! Point taken! Yes, I am but my daughter is one and this is how I learnt about the boys of One Direction: Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. In May, I even went to their concert in Zurich.

My look at the concert: Denim and wool jacket by Givenchy, leather and cotton-jersey sweater and chain-trimmed leather mini skirt, both by Saint Laurent, boots by Chanel and Pashli two-tone mini shark embossed leather satchel by 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Here are the breaking news for all Directioners: The boys created a line of beauty products with London-based makeup company MUA Cosmetics. They may sing about natural beauty in the song “What Makes You Beautiful,” but that’s not holding them back to come up with this very smart marketing strategy. So girls, forget the natural look because it’s the LITTLE THINGS, which is the name of their 15-piece lip, nail and cheek colour collection that make all the difference now.

Each band member has chosen their favourite color and signed their own ‘Kiss You’ lip shade: Harry loves Strawberry, Zayn loves Watermelon, Louis loves Vanilla, Niall loves Cherry, Liam loves Blueberry – which one will you choose?!

This is their moment. One Direction are about to take over the fragrance world, too. The new very sweet OUR MOMENT fragrance will go on sale in Harrods on August 25, nationwide in the UK from September 9, 2013.

I am completely in love with my new red Sac Du Jour leather tote by Saint Laurent, a gorgeous and “less expensive” alternative to an Hermès Birkin bag. In combination with the matching red ankle boots, it adds style and colour to every monochrome outfit.

My look: Black oversized jacket by Stella McCartney, embellished cotton-jersey sweatshirt by Matthew Williamson, leather skinny pants, Sac Du Jour leather tote and red ankle boots, all three by Saint Laurent, Pound printed modal and cashmere-blend scarf by Mary Katrantzou, cherry earrings by Dolce & Gabbana, ring by Chanel and cuff by Céline.

Spotted on the Chanel F/W 2013 runway, this little globe bag has been immeditaly on my wish list. Appearing in black and clear, the it will definitely be the evening bag of winter season. As usual, Karl Lagerfeld‘s got the whole world on a string.

Et voilà, here is the second part of the MCM Blogger Makeover 2013. Jumpsuits are a huge trend this summer and I definitely couldn’t resist this one. Doesn’t it look lovely with the new MCM bag? All photos were taken in the studio of Christian Dietrich.

CHANEL is a trendsetter, especially in terms of makeup. Whenever a new runway show takes place, we are eagerly waiting for the backstage pictures to arrive to see the look up close, Peter Philips, Creative Director for Chanel Makeup, has created.
Something we will wear 6 months later…

The focus for Cruise 2014, that was presented yesterday in Singapore, is on a graphic eye in turquoise and black, created with Chanel’s Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in True Blue and Noir Intense.

Complexions were kept matte, dusted liberally with the Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Loose Finish Powder.

And the very important question: How will our nails look next spring? Rather than wearing a newly-created colour, models sported Le Vernis Nail Colour in Black Satin from the permanent collection. So ladies, you can get ahead of the game right now… and don’t forget to add punk-style bangs. Stay tuned for an upcoming post on this hair style.

Yesterday, CHANEL showed its Cruise 2014 collection for the very first time in Asia. Since 2000, CHANEL has taken the fashion world on voyages around the globe: Paris, New York, Venice, Saint-Tropez, Versailles among others and now Singapore.

Basked in the sun all year long – a never-ending summer, it is the ultimate tropical escape from the winters of the northern or southern hemispheres. The Loewen Cluster on Dempsey Hill, a preserved heritage site that was once a thriving nutmeg plantation, was this year’s perfect backdrop and served as the location for the show.

The night before, a private screening of Karl Lagerfeld’s new film Once Upon a Time… was held at the Raffles hotel.

The short film, written and directed by the designer himself, celebrates the 100-year anniversary of Gabrielle Chanel’s Deauville boutique. Cast in the movie is Keira Knightley playing in the lead role alongside appearances from models Baptiste Giabiconi, Stella Tennant and Lindsey Wixon.

On the runway, Karl Lagerfeld presented 80 different looks for Cruise 2014 (below are my favorites). Shades of black, navy, beige and cream dominated the collection. The nod to the past in the shape of Coco Chanel’s iconic silhouettes such as wide-leg trousers, box jackets and pleated blouses will surely please the house’s customers.
