A Pompöös Podcast

Prince Pompöös Harald Glööckler, who is with me part of the jury of MY STYLE ROCKS, is by far Germany’s most dazzling fashion designer. In his eponymous podcast, he talks to fascinating personalities, such as Serbian pop star Electra Elite, medium Theodora Conte and Xenia Princess of Saxony.

Harald Glööckler with Farah Diba

Looking back on an eventful life, the topics of his podcast are as diverse as life itself: faith and spirituality, sexuality, artistic creation or politics – everything is explored with honesty, depth and authenticity. Already at the age of 5, Harald Glööckler decided to «make every woman a princess». He has definitely lived up to this mission by being extremely successful in creating fashion, interiors, cosmetics, jewelry and accessories for over 35 years. Being famous for his rhinestone-studded and glittering creations, the crown motif is his trademark, which is often embellished by the brand’s «POMPÖÖS» lettering.

Harald Glööckler with Gina Lollobrigida

Among his friends and loyal clientele are celebrities such as Gina Lollobrigida, Chaka Khan, and Brigitte Nielsen, who could also been spotted on the runway in his fashion shows.

Jour fixed: Harald and I love having lunch during a day off at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski Istanbul.

While Harald might appear very tough in the jury of MY STYLE ROCKS, I can only guarantee you that he is one of the kindest and most lovely personalities I have met in my life. His expertise in fashion is outstanding and everybody can learn from him. Our candidates can only profit from his knowledge which you can observe during the course of the show.

In daily life, Harald Glööckler is a philanthropist, supports animal welfare organizations around the world, has donated to children in poverty for many years and helps homeless people in Berlin. In 2022, he was knighted by the House of Habsburg. He dedicates his podcast to all people who, like him, believe in good and I couldn’t be more proud that he invited me to do this podcast with me.

My look: Do Not Forget

Do not forget … it’s fashion and it’s for my museum. I have never had so many heads turning around than the day I walked through the streets of London in these shoes. I love pieces that are avantgarde, unexpected and different. Therefore I had to get Alexander McQueen‘s hoof boots and Balenciaga‘s super cool denim top, which you can easily restyle with a pair of jeans. Both are from the F/W 2024 collections, to shop them, click on the highlighted product description below.

My look: Knitted black cardigan, matching scarf, and hat, all by Stella McCartney, denim pants top (F/W 2024 Look 44) by BalenciagaVLogo Moon embellished woven shoulder bag by Valentino, hoof booties (F/W 2024 Look 16) by Alexander McQueen, and diamond rose pendant necklace by Piaget.

Alexander McQueen’s Hoof Boots

Sending the internet into a frenzy, Alexander McQueen’s «Hoof Boots» are a striking and avant-garde footwear design introduced in the brand’s F/W 2024 collection under creative director Seán McGirr. I spotted them at the re-see after the show in March and knew that they needed a spot in Sandra’s Closet.

Giving the wearer an anthropomorphic feel, these boots are shaped to mimic horse hooves, complete with sculpted heels and sometimes even horseshoe-like embellishments. Inspired by McGirr’s Irish heritage, they embody the rebellious, theatrical spirit long associated with McQueen, echoing the brand’s iconic «armadillo» shoes worn by Lady Gaga.

Finished in brown calf hair, or with a sweeping silk ponytail, the «Hoof Boots» feature a mid-calf length and rear zip fastening, with a heel height of 145mm, offering both height and dramatic flair. These boots have quickly captured attention for their bold silhouette and have been described as a potential viral sensation due to their unique aesthetic.

My Look: Fashion Fairy

Today’s episode of MY STYLE ROCKS is about «fairytale characters».
For the show I styled this outfit with pieces of my closet and became a fashion fairy, ready to put my magic spell on our lovely candidates. I love creating theme inspired outfits with normal pieces instead of going to a costume shop.

My look: Faylinn dress by Mary Katrantzou (Look 23, F/W 2017 collection inspired by Walt Disney’s Fantasia), puffin resin clutch by JW AndersonKiki embellished suede platform knee-high boots by Marc Jacobs, and velvet cone princess hat with veil by CHANEL (Look 66, Métiers d’Art Pre-Fall 2021 ‘Le Château des Dames’).

A big thank you to the team on set, @metindemirhair and @saimesaime for the gorgeous clip-in bangs. Do you think I should cut my hair like this? I am pretty much tempted …

The Vanity Bag

There is no doubt that the vanity bag – preferably in burgundy – is the F/W 2024 staple in the wardrobes of those in the know. While the rich burgundy hue appears every fall and winter to replace summer’s brights and pastels, the shade has gotten new life.

Rising designer prices had been prompting Gen Z to repurpose vanity bags as clutches. I mean for a modest cost, you can buy beauty products and receive a complimentary designer vanity bag, enjoying the same luxury experience. High end designer brands transform these shapes now into the new must-have handbags, needless to say for a higher amount, as demonstrated by iconic designs such as the Loro Piana Pouch Bag and Bottega Veneta’s latest Bang Bang style.

This is how a trend is born, these bags perfectly combine style and utility. Below are the best ones available at the moment.

My Look: Never Seen Together

Today, I would like to introduce you to the unusual color combination of mint green, green and a touch of blue. As a child, the quote I’ve always heard was: «Grün und Blau schmückt die Sau,»which literally translates into green and blue is worn by a pig. After doing some research, I found out that it originates from a verse of the song «Delmenhorst» by Elements of Crime from the ’80s. However English people think the same and state, «blue and green should never be seen unless there‘s something in between.»

Personally speaking I think blue and green are gorgeous together. For this look, I added colour-pop accessories in blue hues to the mint and green combination to create an interesting mix.

My look: Wool and silk-blend crepe blazericon, and cropped pleated cotton-blend crepe wide-leg pants, both by Ralph & Russo, silk-georgette blouseicon by Alexander McQueen, Pillow smalll feather and crystal-embellished floral-jacquard toteicon by Dries Van NotenPurist 105 suede pumpsicon by Aquazzura, vintage blue crystal earrings by CHANELClash de Cartier ring large model in pink gold with amazonite, and LOVE bracelets, all by Cartier.

Happy 15th Birthday, Sandra’s Closet!

Slim d’Hermès Flagship

Finely engraved in yellow gold, the Hermès ship’s colourful unfurled sails and emblematic bow glide beneath a star-studded aventurine sky.

Viewed through a telescope, the Hermès flagship – its hull inspired by the historic boutique at 24 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris – steers its way through the starry night with its blend of miniature painting and engraving. Its bow bearing the effigy of the famous firework maker and its billowing sails come to life at the virtuoso hands of Hermès artisans.

Created in 2015 by Philippe Delhotal, the Slim d’Hermès watch vividly expresses the singularity of the house with its blend of understated elegance and visual balance. Modern yet timeless, its pared-down lines highlight Hermès’ inimitably creative, fanciful touch, offering a subtle interpretation of the patterns adorning its iconic silk scarves.

Produced in a limited edition of 12, the Slim d’Hermès Flagship is inspired by Dimitri Rybaltchenko’s eponymous design for a silk scarf. Surging ahead amid a shower of shooting stars, the vessel reflects the artist’s poetic universe navigating between the imaginary and the real.

After a multitude of layers of micro-paint are applied with a brush and then heat-dried in a kiln, the aventurine dial reveals a bronzed decoration featuring unique nuances, volumes and details. The ship evoking the legendary Parisian boutique is carved in relief by the engraver’s burins and chisels, then handpainted and delicately placed on the night sky. A mischievous star at 4 o’clock comes to life in step with wrist movements. Housed in a slim yellow gold case measuring 39.5 mm in diameter, this eloquent expression of horological expertise beats to the rhythm of the Manufacture Hermès H1950 self-winding movement and is fitted with an elegant abyss blue alligator strap matching the maritimeinspired dial tones.

Puma x Coperni

PUMA and Coperni return with a full second collection, continuing to decode the intersection of fashion, sportswear, and technology.

Envisioning classic silhouettes through a future-oriented lens, the collection’s streamlined designs comprise interpretations of PUMA’s T7 tracksuit and innovative cut-and-sew garments crafted with performance fabrics. Returning footwear like Coperni’s take on the PUMA Speedcat as well as the hybrid 90SQR come in bold and unmistakable colorways that run through the collection.

Extending the themes and concepts of the inaugural offerings, the second installment is highlighted by the elegant asymmetrical gown and top, both crafted from CARVICO eco-sustainable techno-fabric, a mainstay of PUMA’s Olympic performance wear. The T7 Jacket and T7 Pants incorporate Coperni’s signature knot design. Adorned with a set of coy cat ears, the collection’s Hoodie presents a unique twist on Coperni’s horned sweatshirt, while a co-branded essential T-shirt completes the collection.

For accessories, the PUMA x Coperni Bag reinterprets Coperni’s signature Swipe Bag and is boldly adorned with PUMA’s leaping cat logo in silver, which appears as an overstated ornamentation.

PUMA and Coperni bring back Coperni’s unique interpretation of the Speedcat, as well as the future-looking 90SQR hybrid. A sculpted dress shoe that is engineered to the specifications of a performance football boot, the low-profile 90SQR returns in «Blue Gloss» and «Black» versions. Coperni’s collaborative Speedcat comes overlaid with a structural cage and is rendered in «Black» and «White» options.

Evoking themes of time and movement, the campaign visually represents stillness and motion, as two protagonists cross paths, as a metaphor for the collaborative ideas shared between PUMA and Coperni.

PUMA and Coperni’s second collection will be available now at Coperni stores and on coperniparis.com, on PUMA.com and select retailers.

Burberry Holiday 2024 Campaign

Shot on the streets of Bloomsbury in London, the «Wrapped In Burberry» campaign channels the joy of spending the holiday season with loved ones, featuring portraits of friends of the house old and new. Among them is US-based couple Drs. Herschel and Lilly Stoller @drsburberry, who were both picked to star in the campaign for their long-standing support of the brand, top clients of Burberry for the last 20 years.

Last September, I personally met them at the Burberry S/S 2025 show in London where I spotted them across from me front row. They caught my eyes immediately and without knowing who they were I posted a photo of them, not only for their amazing outfits but also for the way they looked so happy together.

Later at the intimate clients dinner, we were seated close to each other and started to talk. Both have been fans of Burberry for over two decades. They are such a fascinating couple, I was blown away by their energy. In daily life they are doctors  living in Nebraska who both share the mutual admiration for the brand. I love how Burberry shows their appreciation in return by featuring them in their campaign.

Me at the Burberry S/S 2025 show in September

Engaging with clients seems to be on the rise and I think it is a beautiful thing to do. In March, Miu Miu had invited their most loyal customer, Qin Hiulan, a 70 year old doctor from Shanghai, to walk for their F/W 2024 show.

Co-starring in the «Wrapped in Burberry« campaign are Nigerian-born London-based artist Slawn, and his partner Tallula Christie with their two children, as well as «Rivals» stars David Tennant and Alex Hassell.

Coinciding with the fun festive campaign, Burberry is introducing a new virtual scarf try-on experience. Shoppers can now explore the brand’s signature cashmere check and alpaca wool scarves in over 50 colourways online, in-store, and on their own devices, making it easier than ever to find the perfect piece to complement any winter wardrobe.

With Joshua Schulman at the intimate clients dinner during London Fashion Week.

Congrats to Joshua Schulman, Chief Executive Officer Burberry since July, for rolling out such a family affair and to Daniel Lee, Chief Creative Officer  Burberry, for creating those beautiful special Burberry pieces for us.
