My dear readers, Happy Holidays, everyone! May all the sweet magic of Christmas conspire to gladden your heart and fill every desire. As you relish the goodies, decorate every nook and corner of your home and enjoy the get-togethers… may the good times and treasures of the present become the golden memories of tomorrow.

Though we may spend quite some time devising our Halloween decorations, the holiday is gone in a flash and we are left with the next one to come. Each year, I love to dress my Christmas tree in a different color theme. Therefore I am always looking for some new inspirations.
Net-à-porter offers for the first time limited edition glass bauble sets by Bombki. Michael Peterson, the English brand’s head designer, has been commissioned by everyone from Sir Paul Smith to London’s Saint Paul’s Cathedral. Since 2001, he has been creating the most stunning Christmas decorations you can imagine. See for yourself:

Also amazing are Lanvin’s baubles. Imagine a tree filled with these ones topped with a red grosgrain bow and printed with unique and colorful sketches by Alber Elbaz. They also make a great and stylish gift.

Sometimes it is time for a fresh perspective on the contents of our closets. The summer 2014 had lots of trends to choose from, like crop tops, cutouts, and transparent pieces among other highlights. If you’re anything like me, you may already be more than happy to kiss some of those looks goodbye, but there are plenty, too, that you might be excited to wear during the upcoming season.
My look: Denim vest
and wide belt, both by Saint Laurent, leather and wool top by Gucci, Altea crepe and silk-organza skirt
by Stella McCartney, embellished textured-leather sandals
by Valentino, fringed tote by Lanvin, gold-plated multi-strand necklace by Etro, ladder gold-tone chain bracelet

On Wednesday, I had a busy afternoon. First I went to Marionnaud‘s press conference to explore the house’s newest beauty brand BE CREATIVE MAKEUP, followed by a fashion show with Montblanc for the 6th edition of MODE SUISSE inside Zurich’s Lichthof.
This week has been perfect, many amazing things have happened and I am extremely happy. That might have been the reason for the pink splash of color I added to this elegant outfit giving it a joyful and fresh upgrade. And as you see, I had quite some fun taking those pictures.

My Look: Elaphe-paneled wool sweater and snake-print silk-satin and chiffon skirt
, both by Jason Wu, metallic snake-effect leather pumps
and pink pussybow silk necktie, both by Saint Laurent, fringed tote by Lanvin and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
Lips: Kiss Kiss Shaping Cream Lip Colour in 361 Excessive Rose by Guerlain.
Nails: Le Vernis Nail Colour in 619 Pink Tonic by Chanel.

Gosh, this Zurich weather is driving me up the wall. I just got back with a nice tan from Ibiza but cannot show it as it is cold and rainy outside. What a pity!
A few days ago, I wrote a post about those lovely Burberry Prorsum capes and I tell you that this has been one of the best investments recently. You can easily throw it over your shoulder and it gives you just the perfect touch of warmth in the month of August. Later in the season you can add it as another layer to your winter coat. Get one now, you won’t regret it!

Chicago is, hands down, the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, outside of Ireland. As most of you know, I had lived in the Windy City for two years before I moved to Zurich and always loved seeing the Chicago River dyed in a brilliant shade of green (a tradition that dates back to 1962). A great inspiration for today’s post.
Are you in the mood to leave all others green with envy? Here you go, indulge in this great outfit in the must-have hues for St. Paddy’s Day.
