As you already know, I am having now a monthly fashion column in the biggest Swiss magazine for fashion and celebrities: The SI Style.
Now available is their new iPad app, so-called Stylebook powered by Mercedes-Benz which you can download in the app store for free.
It is beautifully made and includes trends, fashion, lifestyle, interior, beauty and more (all in German).
You can even find out who might be your fashion icon and learn about your own personal style.
Check it out, it is absolutely worth it!

Today, I am very proud to announce that starting this month, I will have my own monthly fashion column in the SI Style, the well-known Swiss fashion magazine.
I will give you insights in the world of fashion, talk about whom I met and tell you all about some funny incidents.
My first story „With Love to Paris“ is about a very hilarious flight with Courtney Love on board. Get your copy now, read what she wore and how she kept the plane pretty busy.
To my little Carrie Bradshaw moment!

Haider Ackermann S/S 2011 graces the cover
Lady Gaga is on the cover of US Vogue March 2011, photographed by Mario Testino.
As the March edition is the most important for the S/S collections (the same as September is for F/W), it is no wonder that Gaga dons the must-have looks for the warm season.
So please enjoy the highlights, especially the three sensational McQueen shots. From runway to Gaga, very dramatic and definitely different.
The interview with US Vogue also helps Gaga to promote her new album „Born This Way“: The seventeen-track CD will include such songs as „Hair“, „Bad Kids“, „Americano“, „Government Hooker“, and the second single „Judas“.

Even while I am very busy in Florence, I don’t want you to miss anything. Breaking fashion news arrived today: Less than a month after Carine Roitfeld announced that she would leave the editor-in-chief’s position at French Vogue, the magazine named Emmanuelle Alt to succeed her, starting Feb. 1, 2011.
Emmanuelle had been French Vogue’s fashion director since 2000 (same year Carine Roitfeld became editor-in-chief). The decision to elevate Ms. Alt makes me assume that Condé Nast International does not want to change course. Ms. Alt knows the job and is very well connected.
Her rock style of skinny pants and Balmain jackets is not bad, isn’t it…?! Let’s see what she will be coming up with.

This was the news of today and it is the end of an era – Carine Roitfeld, 56, leaves Vogue Paris. After ten years of Editor in Chief, she wants to concentrate on personal projects.
Under her direction, Vogue Paris received record levels of circulation, advertising und editorial success.
Carine was the woman widely tipped to take over from Anna Wintour at the fashion magazine’s flagship US title. If Condé Nast had announced this today, I would have been less surprised than hearing about her decision to step down.
The French former model will leave the magazine in the end of January, an announcement about her replacement will be made in the coming weeks. Figaro’s Virginie Mouzat name is floating here and there…
Carine, you will be missed!

Vending machines selling luxury goods seem to be on the rise. Katie Grand, editor-in-chief of LOVE magazine has teamed up with Selfridges to create such a machine for the beginning of London Fashion Week until October 15th. The new retail concept can be found in the lobby of London’s It-hotel St Martin’s Lane where many editors, models and buyers are staying at the moment.
You can get a lot of fantastic items, some highly exclusive, let me name a few:
-Falabella bag by Stella McCartney
-leather and sequined dress by Alexander Wang
-draped dress by Vivienne Westwood Anglomania
-a unique pair of trainers by Rick Owens customized by Chrome Hearts with solid silver hardware
-Amazona handbag by Loewe
-limited Dior nail polishes
-Mimosa candles by Diptyque exclusive to Selfridges in yellow
–Falke’s new „secret socks“ for men
-a vintage Rolex watch
-embossed leather wallets by Comme des Garçons
-clutch purses by Mulberry
A word to the wise, do not get drunk in the hotel bar, you might lose control and this could end on the way to your room passing the LOVE machine in a financial disaster.

Ladies, learn your fashion math! What equals a must-have? One dress on three covers would be a good answer! Every season has a few iconic looks that appear over and over again.
So one important piece for fall is the `60s inspired Miu Miu dress that comes in bright orange or lavender lace. Worn by Eva Mendes on the July cover of W, by Lily Allen for British Elle and Freja Beha for Vogue UK, both for their August covers. That is an unusual coincidence because editors do not like to share their lead picture. But some clothes have that certain something that makes everybody crazy for them. In this case, it is for sure not only the great cleavage!
In Miu Miu stores this fall.
