Aside from the fringe that is coming back in full force (stay tuned for a complete trend report), crochet and macrame were big on the S/S 2011 runways. High-fashion designers were focusing on the delicate and intricate look with a certain `70s allure and even included the accessories.

Absolutely gorgeous is Stella McCartney’s “Falabella” crocheted tote from the Resort 2011 collection. This ultra-soft bag with its retro-inspired spin is the perfect summer carry-all, providing you with space and style!

Today I would like to share my newest addition to my closet. For me it was love at first sight!
Let me introduce you to the multicoloured Chanel patchwork bag that is part of their Cruise 2011 collection.
A unique and interesting looking flap bag that is very versatile due to its many different shades, perfect for travelling. Already spotted on Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl’ s first episode of Season 4 and on Lilly Becker last week.

Dee Clutch

CONTEST HAS ENDED!

It is Christmas time and the holy grail of fashion has finally arrived in my closet, my very own Louis Vuitton bag, especially made for me.
It comes in one of the most supple leathers I have ever touched.
Another cool thing is the interior leather patch that has my name stamped on it.

It looks very Marc Jacobs actually, a typical satchel with an exterior pocket.
There are zippered leather covers for the bag handels that can be unattached. The sides can be uncinched providing more space. My favourite part is that it has its own leather stuffing pillow.

It still seems too special for daily use. I think that I will just stare at this little treasure for a while and give it a holy display in my closet…. Love you, Marc!

I am almost dying looking at those photos. As if the see-through Kelly bag Jean-Paul Gaultier created for his final Hermès S/S 2011 show wasn’t enough to drool over, there is also the wicker Kelly bag to be lusted after and the cute miniature Birkin bag dangling from the model’s wrist. Can you believe that the see-through material is actually very thin crocodile leather, ohmygod?!
Those bags will be very limited and they kind of make your everyday Kelly look plain boring. Being highly collectables, they are guaranteed to become instant classics.

In case you will make it to London this weekend for a Valentino for Gap shopping tour, I recommend a visit to the neighbourhood on Oxford Street, meaning the Wonder Room at Selfridges. There you can get the first ever insight into the inner life of a superluxury handbag, you can literally crawl into a giant Kelly bag.

Sounds like heaven for all Hermès lovers or like some weird Alice in Wonderland scenario.
No worries, you do not need to drink from a bottle marked “drink me”! Once inside you can sit in a booth while watching a film of its owner’s journey and feel the motion of the bag as it moves.

The monster bag is made exactly like a regular-size one and was first introduced at Brown Thomas in Dublin in the beginning of November to promote the Marvel Room, a showcase of exclusive limited pieces at the famous Irish department store.

The Kellydoscope can be admired in London until the 30th of November. What a fun interactive experience!

Mark my words! Emma Watson is becoming more and more a budding fashion icon, probably thanks to all her gorgeous Burberry outfits (see above).

Being BFF with Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, the former campaign face was the first person to step out in a trench coat with gorgeous leather sleeves from the new Burberry Bespoke collection last week at Heathrow airport.

The custom-made piece was a gift for her premiere and before the young actress left for N.Y., she tweeted: „That’s London done, now off to New York! Wearing my favourite trench that Christopher Bailey @Burberry designed for me. Love it! x“

Burberry Bespoke will be a new fully integrated, innovative digital platform, enabling the personalisation of the iconic Burberry trench coat in many different ways and will be available for those of us not on the fashion house’s immediate gift list sometime early in 2011. So now the question on my fashionista’s mind is how would my bespoke coat look like? As for me, I see a huge fur collar and cuffs. And you?

I truly love Emma’s look last week. She accessorized her one-of-a-kind trench with a beaded red poppy pin (in honour of Britain’s Remembrance Day – those pins are all over London in November), Ray-Bans, a pair of ballet flats and her beloved killer Burberry studded bag from the “Winter Storms” collection that she was seen with many times before.

The new capsule collection has the right pieces to fight blowing snow and whipping winds in style. I love the metal studs that are applied in unlikely places, such as on the underside of a jacket collar for example. They lend a certain rock glam to otherwise conservative pieces.

Today, I was lucky to attend the Lanvin for H&M press preview. The line created by Alber Elbaz is breathtaking. Beautiful materials, well-tailored cuts, it seemed to me almost like a best of Lanvin collection, a playful take on his favourite pieces.

Please find herewith some impressions from the lookbook and more pictures of the ad campaign plus my personal photos that I took today in the showroom. They show the beauty of the clothes and accessories perfectly. I have also included the complete price list with all upcoming items, in Swiss Francs.

of luxury to a wider audience? The world around us is changing rapidly and I find myself asking these questions more and more. 
Designer’s work is usually tailored to a very small group of people, but the collection for H&M was about trying to translate the dream 
of luxury to the masses. It was almost like going back to school for me.” Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin. Well done, Mr Elbaz!

Christmas trunk in Monogram canvas

Last week, I went to the Louis Vuitton Christmas collection press preview that took place in the beautiful Schloss Sihlberg in Zurich.
The gorgeous presentation with vintage toys from the Zurich toy museum (Züricher Spielzeugmuseum) put me directly into the gift giving mood. It is true, Holiday 2010 is almost upon us, so let’s better get organised.
