Miu Miu launches its new Sneakers, a brand new addition to the Miu Miu F/W 2011 collection. Made of iconic materials such as patent leather, arabesque lamé and velvet, the Miu Miu Sneakers are decorated with glitter, metal tips, or appliquéd crystals. As there were lots of sparkling materials on the F/W 2011 runways, those shoes are a must for all fashionistas. Coming in various colours including blush, silver, gold and black, the new Sneakers will be available in all the brand’s boutiques and online on miumiu.com starting from August, €295.
I am a huge fan of the Alexander McQueen F/W 2011 collection. As for me, Sarah Burton has outdone herself once more. The fetish elements, the beautiful fur edges, the frayed organza, just amazing. Needless to say, those dramatic pieces are not for everyday use but for making a showstopping entrance, they are perfect. And just one item at a time works lovely, see here.

Have you always dreamed of having a fabulous Balmain piece in your closet but your budget has never allowed it? This wish might become soon reality. The French brand has announced the launch of a second line, Pierre Balmain, for S/S 2012 which will range around €120 for a tee, €250 for jeans and approximately €350 for a jacket.
Here are the first pics that honestly didn’t convince me so much. But with the economy not at its best, Decarnin gone, the customers that are willing to spend €10.000 on an embellished leather jacket might not be so easy to find.
The diffusion line will be produced with Italy’s Itierre SpA that also licenses Just Cavalli for example. Interesting to know is that instead of Balmain’s new main line designer Olivier Rousteing overseeing the collection, an completely independent creative team will be working on it. Honestly, I think the only thing those two lines might have in common, will be the name but I am sure that Pierre Balmain will sell like crazy.

The gingham checks will work lovely with a dirndl for Oktoberfest and the cute little polka dots in black or red will not only be loved by fans of Minnie Mouse.

Today is Swiss National Day that is celebrated with fireworks and a public holiday. August 1st is to the Swiss what July 4th is to Americans, or July 14th to the French. This day was chosen because August 1st 1291 was the date on which three Alpine cantons swore the oath of confederation, an act which later came to be regarded as the foundation of Switzerland.
So for me a good reason to honour our well-known Swiss designer Albert Kriemler (who is loved by Charlene de Monaco) and his Akris collection for F/W 2011. He seeked inspiration from the Vienna Secession movement which was best seen in the beautiful fall colours he used, from a golden yellow to caramel and russet.
My favourite is the photo print of architect and Vienna Secession founder Joseph Maria Olbrich’s Wedding Tower(Darmstädter Hochzeitsturm) that Kriemler put on dresses, shirts and a floor-length cape.
For those of you who are not familiar with the Vienna Secession movement, here is some more information: Also known as the Union of Austrian Artists, or Vereinigung Bildender Künstler Österreichs, the Vienna Secession was formed in 1897 by a group of Austrian artists, among them Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann, Joseph Maria Olbrich and Max Kurzweil. The movement included painters, sculptors, and architects.

Hello native Germany! I spent the last week at Schloss Elmauin Southern Bavaria. Unfortunately, the hotel is definitely not worth talking about it. The luxurious standard that they advertise on their website along with the photos don’t hold their promise.
The only beautiful part has been the spa house and the treatments where I could really take a break from everyday life. The view, the nature, and going hiking was also wonderful and reminded me of my childhood.
My comfy outfit on the day of arrival: Wide pants by Stella McCartney, nautical top and long scarf by Chanel, ballerinas by Prada and my new beautiful XL-Boston bag in bright blue python leather by Céline (Pré-fall 2011).
David Beckham follows in the footsteps of his designer wife Victoria. On the photos, he is still wearing Emporio Armani underwear, but this is going to change in the beginning of next year. Together with H&M, the famous soccer player and style icon will make a bodywear range for men available to millions of fans globally.
The long-term alliance will allow David Beckham to produce and exclusively sell his new DAVID BECKHAM bodywear line in around 1800 H&M stores in 40 countries worldwide, with new products being created seasonally. The initial range will be launched to coincide withValentine’s Day 2012 from February 2nd.
Hopefully, David will model his new line himself… his abs are pretty fantastic!
