Dior Addict Fragrances

Dior introduces two new fragrance that belong to the house’s iconic Addict line of perfumes, dedicated to seduction, femininity and to style. “Having style, means having your own”, said Christian Dior.

Dior Addict is her perfume – her identity. She loves explosive colours – they represent her freedom. Oriental, fresh or floral, she has fun with all the Dior Addict fragrances.

The advertising campaign was shot by one of my favourite photographers, Tim Walker. The face is Daphne Groeneveld.

Addict

Dior Addict is a universe composed of three fragrances with contrasting scent compositions. Every shade of the palette asserts the audacious and complex personality of the Dior Addict woman. Which one are you? Or are you probably all three of them?

A SCENT WARDROBE

Dior Addict Eau Fraîche

Its scent signature? Bright and sharp, yet fresh and woody.
Its colour? A vivid, saturated, radiant pink for a sparkling cocktail.
Its flower? A radiant Freesia.

Its scent signature? Floral and sensual, harmonious and luminous.
Its colour? A tender mauve.
Its flower? A velvety Rose.
Its style? An elegant, lilac coloured silky dress.

Its scent signature? Oriental and modern, smooth and vibrant.
Its colour? The deep blue of a nocturne music score.
Its flower? The opulent Queen of the Night.
Its style? A low-cut black sheath dress in the finest organza.

Here are the photos from Burberry‘s F/W 2012 advertising campaign celebrating Britishness, London and the Burberry heritage of weather protection in the brand’s most cinematic shoot to date. The campaign was shot at night under the creative direction of Christopher Bailey by Mario Testino at the iconic Royal Naval College in Greenwich, London.

The very British cast, actress Gabriella Wilde and musician Roo Panes star in their first advertising campaign.

“We wanted to play with everything that’s at the heart of the Burberry world – celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way. 
Using London as the backdrop, we shot the series of cinematic, emotive black and white images and short films with the incredibly talented Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes, who effortlessly bring the campaign and our collections to life across all of our platforms.”

I truly like the campaign and Burberry Prorsum’s F/W 2012 collection is absolutely divine. Same as in Versace’s F/W 2012 ad campaign, the mood is very dark for the next season.Very contrary to this colourful and vibrant summer.

Versace F/W 2012 Ad Campaign

I know it is not even summer yet, but in fashion you are always thinking ahead. The first pre-fall pieces have been arriving in stores and Versace is the first of the major ad campaigns for F/W 2012 to be revealed.

Shot by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a studio in London, it features model Elza Luijendijk with the same blunt razored bangs and bleached eyebrows that were present at the runway show, very gothic and dark. The men’s campaign shows male models Philipp Schmidt, Dmitriy Tanner and Kacey Carrig.

Brad Pitt – New Face of Chanel N°5

Interesting choice: CHANEL has selected world renowned actor Brad Pitt 
to be the face of the upcoming advertising campaign 
for CHANEL N°5The actor is the first male to represent the women’s fragrance. At least I cannot think of somebody else.

Marilyn Chanel 5

Chanel No. 5 was the first perfume launched by legendary French designer Coco Chanel in the early ’20s. It became associated with Marilyn Monroe after the actress famously said the fragrance was all she wore to bed.

Bvlgari Omnia Coral – The Trend is Fruity

For spring 2012, Bvlgari introduces a new, lively, cheerful fragrance inspired by by a piece of coral jewelry from the luxury house, the red gold of the Mediterranean Sea: OMNIA CORAL.

With notes of goji berries, sparkling citrus, hibiscus flower and pomegranate, Omnia Coral is a true gem of the ocean. Experience the newest addition to the Bvlgari fragrance world.

Model Carola Remer is the face of the fragrance. The advertising campaign was shot by photographers Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Omnia Coral will be available in characteristic Omnia flacon, as 25, 40 and 65 ml EDT accompanied with perfumed body care products, including a scintillating body lotion 100 ml and a gentle body peeling 100 ml.

Bulgari

“This is the first time that Bvlgari has created a fruity note, but fruity in a very Bvlgari way”, says Alberto Morillas, the fragrance creator. “I was inspired by the noble and rare red coral gemstone, I imagined a voluptuous, natural scent created around the hibiscus flower and the overflowing sensation of  juicy fruits”.

Young Versace SS2012 Campaign featuring Kaia

Here is your sneak preview of Versace’s S/S 2012 advertising campaign for Young Versace that features 10-year old Kaia Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, one of Gianni Versace’s supermodel muses.

Young Versace is a brand-new collection for boys and girls aged from 0-12 which offers the quintessential Versace style with a youthful rock ’n’ roll twist, including playful prints, vibrant colors, mixing of patterns and a reinterpretation of the house’s iconic Greek key motif and Medusa head logo. The collection is available at the Versace Young boutique in Milan and worldwide in select multi-brand stores specializing in childrenswear.

The new Miu Miu S/S 2012 advertising campaign, shot by David Sims, stars actress Mia Wasikowska.

A young woman plays different feminine characters and diverse personalities; taking inspiration from classic portraiture, David Sims leaves atmosphere and attitudes in a haze of undefined suspension.

Diverse eras and diverse inspirations are reassembled in the Miu Miu S/S 2012 collection. Following a party leitmotif, the Eighteenth century and the Fifties, lace, bows, patchwork and cameos mix and match in a visual collage charged with great evocative power.

Roberto Cavalli S/S 2012 Ad Campaign

The new Roberto Cavalli advertising campaign for S/S 2012 revolves around the iconic beauty of 4 excellent top models: Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld are the Florentine designer’s muses, as he chose to represent the collection through women who embody the standards of a modern appeal.

Steven Meisel shot the photos that are reminiscent of the Versace campaigns in the ’90s. The Cavalli S/S 2012 collection is very glamourous and opulent. Those beaded embellished dresses in daring gold will surely be seen on the red carpets of the season.

Mulberry takes us to the seaside for its S/S 2012 campaign

Mulberry’s S/S 2012 season visits the Great British Seaside by way of the UK’s Brighton Beach, inspired by Creative Director Emma Hill’s memories of the English seasides of her childhood. 
This seaside scene was captured by one of my favourite photographers Tim Walker, starring models Frida Gustavsson and Lindsey Wixon. It is Walker’s third campaign he has shot for the English brand. I love the gigantic ice-cream scones and cupcake colours which are a huge trend for S/S 2012. Nostalgic and eclectic, capturing the Mulberry charm in perfection!

ABOUT JACK PIERSON
Jack Pierson is a celebrated contemporary artist known for work that ranges across many media, including photography, collage, drawing, painting, and installations. This diversity makes it difficult to categorize Pierson’s art, though virtually everything he makes evinces a compelling combination of emotional vulnerability and formal sophistication. Pierson’s photographs often read like a diary, combining elements of nostalgia, loneliness, the romantic ideal, and a search for beauty.
The artist, who splits his time between New York and Southern California, has had numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group shows around the world. His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and the Guggenheim in New York, among other prestigious institutions.

“I’ve admired Jack’s work for many years, especially his ability to create images that are at once precise and spontaneous.” Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director Tomas Maier explained in a release “I’m very happy with the result. Jack’s images capture the complexity as well as the joy of the collection.”
