Going to dinner at Le Caprice, I was wearing this outfit. Due to the ongoing star print trend, I reminded myself of the Viktor & Rolf dress in my closet. Like I always say, don’t throw out too much. There will always be a time again…
Dress by Viktor & Rolf, cropped leather jacket and appliquéd metallic leather clutch
by Miu Miu, cage sandals by Alexander McQueen and ring by Roberto Cavalli. On my nails: Graphite by Chanel.
And as I love my job and my Mac very much, I would like to end with a quote of the late Steve Jobs, a true visionary and a creative genius:
”Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to…love what you do. – Your time is limited. Don’t waste it living someone else’s life”.

Recently I came across the work of Swedish photographer Linus Morales. His “Fabfood” is really fun, my favourites are the Chanel sausages (no wonder being a German girl).

The Fabfood prints are available for sale. In edition of 100 c type prints (84.1 x 59.4 cm) signed and numbered by the artist, for 100£ plus shipping. If your interested in a print or have any questions, please contact the artist via e-mail .

During New York Fashion Week, I ran into some very familiar faces. Here you see German fashion power. To the left is über-stylish Annette Weber, editor-in-chief of German InStyle magazine, and to the right is very hip Sue Giers, head byer for Hamburg based Linette shops.
Annette’s look: Dress and Boots by Prada, Bag by Chanel
Sue’s look: Blazer by H&M, Pants by Closed, Dress, Boston Bag and Shoes by Céline, Statement Necklace and Fur Scarf by Gabriele Frantzen.

I loved how Sue combined designer pieces with the fabulous H&M blazer. She rolled up her Céline dress and turned it into a silk shirt. Awesome idea!

If you like Sue’s necklace with the thin little fur scarf, you should have a look at Gabriele Frantzen‘s designs. Having worked in fashion for many years, she launched her eponymous statement jewelry line in 2009. Since then, her pieces have been spotted all over and even made it on the red carpet at the Oscars. Gabriele Frantzen commutes between New York City and Munich. For store locations, please click here.

Stay tuned for so much more to come. I just spent an amazing weekend in Venice… and now I am packing for Milan Fashion Week!

If you were wondering what I was wearing for Fashion’s Night Out in New York, this was my look.
Blouse and Skirt by Alexander McQueen, Python Belt by Gucci, Studded Heels by Valentino, Small Boston Bag by Céline, Ring by Roberto Cavalli and Watch by Roger Dubuis.
This military inspired outfit was also seen on Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge recently in Birmingham.

Catherine had shortened her skirt whereas I left it at the medium length. Midi skirts are a must for F/W 2011. I was not a big fan of Catherine’s classic suede pumps as the outfit itself is already pretty conservative. That was the reason I went for my studded Valentino kitten heels and added the wide eyecatching golden python belt for a bit of colour.
On my nails I am wearing a metallic colour, so-called “Graphite” by Chanel.

What is he looking at?

Last night, I wore my favourite summer look: The long crochet dress by Emilio Pucci that I had told you much about before.
I kept the accessories pretty simple and chose a gold clutch and earrings, both by Chanel, to go with it. Below you can see more close-ups. Hope that you will like it.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Yesterday, we had the most beautiful weather in Zurich. The sun was the perfect background for the baptism of one my best friend’s little baby girl. I chose a quite extreme coloured outfit and as I always say, don’t take fashion too serious, have fun and experiment. So my friends came up with some interesting associations like a Stabilo pen or one even knew the matching Mercedes car for me.

Jessica Lace Dress and Keke Lace Jacket by Christopher Kane, Bag and Shoes by Miu Miu, Tulle Necklace by Lanvin and Hat by Chanel.
I loved the flowers and cake so much that I added some photos to this post.

Have a lovely Sunday!

No, just kidding, it wasn’t me who went back to school, it was my daughter. So one of those very stressful mornings with no time to get ready as we had to leave pretty early. I am sure that all mums know what I am talking about.
Therefore I kept my makeup very simple, meaning just a little blush and some lipgloss (no eye makeup!). In case of an emergency, you can hide your eyes with big sunglasses.

My outfit: Blue Blazer and Python Flats by Zara (in stores now), White Shirt by Prada, Shorts by Blumarine, Sunglasses by Marc Jacobs, Python Boston Bag by Céline, Earrings and Ring by H&M, Bangles by Chanel and Bracelet (Souvenir from Istanbul).
Have a nice day!
LoL, Sandra

Set of ivory and gold bangles by Chanel, Bracelet bought at the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul
Ring by H&M
My favourite bag at the moment: The XL Boston Bag in blue python by Céline

This winter, there is only one way to wear your crisp white shirt: buttoned-up to the very top. The wheel of fashion is always turning. On the runways, there were lots of masculine references, the season is all about the suits. Designers are paying tribute to the working girls and to keep things demure, no more cleavage is shown. But no worries, combined with a cool pair of shorts, the look is more about sophisticated minimalism instead of looking all prude.
My favourites are the shirts with embellished collars (Miu Miu and Christopher Kane) that are now in stores.
Enjoy experimenting!

Hello native Germany! I spent the last week at Schloss Elmau in Southern Bavaria. Unfortunately, the hotel is definitely not worth talking about it. The luxurious standard that they advertise on their website along with the photos don’t hold their promise.
The only beautiful part has been the spa house and the treatments where I could really take a break from everyday life. The view, the nature, and going hiking was also wonderful and reminded me of my childhood.
My comfy outfit on the day of arrival: Wide pants by Stella McCartney, nautical top and long scarf by Chanel, ballerinas by Prada and my new beautiful XL-Boston bag in bright blue python leather by Céline (Pré-fall 2011).
My makeup is done with products of the 29, St. Honoré Collection by Lancôme.
Unfortunately, I got really sick and am on antibiotics now with a middle ear inflammation and tonsillitis. No fun!
LoL, Sandra

This fall, you might hear ladies screaming with delight: „Oh, it’s a boy!“
But they won’t mean their babies, they will admire the season’s It-bag: The Boy Chanel.
Embodying the androgynous charm Coco Chanel was known for, the design is inspired by a hunting cartridge style that was originally carried by the famous lady herself.
“Chanel used men’s underwear to make dresses; she had this boyish attitude, in fact it is the very spirit of Chanel. She got it from Boy Capel, the great love of her life, which, incidentally, explains why the new bag is called the Boy Chanel.”
-Karl Lagerfeld

Available in a palette of red, lead green, grey, black and ivory, these calfskin clutches, purses and totes come in five different styles. The hardware has a unique look in distressed silver or bronze. They range from $2500 to $4300 and hit Chanel stores in September. Get yourselves on the waiting lists for this ground-breaking Chanel collection now!
Is androgyny the new femininity?
