Yesterday, I left for the Cannes Film Festival, a truly amazing adventure for me. I am invited by the famous Geneva-based watch and jewelry company Chopard, the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival for the 15th consecutive year.
The Palme d’Or, created every year since 1998 by Chopard’s craftsmen
In 1998, the President of the Festival asked Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, to redesign the prestigious trophy, the Palme d’Or. Ever since, Chopard and the Cannes Film Festival have remained inseparable.

You can see the details of my look on the arrival day below.
Printed satin-jersey harem pants
by Balmain (please click here for a post on the print pants trend), white T-shirt
by J.Crew, collarless leather jacket and studded Pyramide bag, both by Prada, black shopping bag by Chanel, studded ballet flats by Gucci and printed skull scarf
by Alexander McQueen.
Stay tuned for some amazing photos of the opening ceremony last night. I could totally get used to walking on the red carpet. What an amazing event! Now, I am off to new adventures…

This summer is all about print, preferably from head to toe. Print silk pants are among the season’s must-haves and I recently combined those two trends in one very comfy look:
Blue leo print top, matching pyjama silk pants, scarf, slippers and bag, all by Louis Vuitton, ring “Diorette” by Dior Haute Joaillerie and watch “Lady Excalibur” by Roger Dubuis.
Do you remember the bag? It was a gift from my girlfriends for my birthday. I think the coral is the perfect addition to the blue – a wonderful colour combination.

Welcome sunshine! It is such a beautiful day today and I am wearing one of my favourite colour combinations at the moment: Pink and Black.
My look: Pink fine-knit wool jumpsuit, Mathilda wool-twill blazer, peep-toes in faux python with neon pink detail and matching new Grace multizip shoulder bag, all by Stella McCartney, Audrey wayfarer sunglasses by Céline and necklace by Roberto Cavalli.

This look makes me feel like a princess. It is amazing how Mary Katrantzou expertly placed the vivid prints on her Harp Hazzard dress from the S/S 2012 runway. You can wear the floor-sweeping floral-print train with bare legs and elegant sandals, or detach it to transform this patterned piece into a thigh-grazing mini.
Louis Vuitton‘s tiara from the S/S 2012 fashion show complements the outfit perfectly. You can wear it over the hair to give it more volume (as seen on me) or under.
My look: Harp Hazzard printed silk-twill dress with detachable train by Mary Katrantzou (also available without train), Tribute chain-detailed suede sandals
by Yves Saint Laurent and tiara by Louis Vuitton.

Last Thursday was a busy night of event hopping. I went to the launch of Arquiste in Zurich, after that to the Cartier cocktail to celebrate the new “Juste Un Clou” collection and later to the opening party of the Christian Louboutin store that was co-hosted by SI Style magazine.
I wore one of my favourite looks for summer:
Printed top and leather skirt from the Prada S/S 2012 runway combined with my orange Birkin bag by Hermès and my beloved Palais python pumps by Yves Saint Laurent.

This was my look for a very fun party last Saturday. Sorry for the quality of the photos. We took them when we came home which was probably not the best idea.
Flared barnacle-intarsia dress
by Alexander McQueen, cashmere-blend cropped jacket by Stella McCartney, Obsession pumps by Yves Saint Laurent, grey suede clutch by Prada, pony skin cuff by Céline, cocktail ring by Roberto Cavalli and earrings by Christian Dior.
I am completely in love with my new McQueen dress. The cut is amazing and it is so comfy – great for dancing. This is fabulous fashion!

As promised, this look is not for the colour-shy. Roksanda Ilincic‘s pink Margot dress from her S/S 2012 runway in combination with some bright camouflage-print pieces, the result of a collaboration between the Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle and the house of Dior, looks playful and innocent, just the thing for an instant wardrobe update.
Margot lantern-sleeve wool-crepe dress
by Roksanda Ilincic, camouflage-print bag, matching scarf and bracelet, all by Anselm Reyle for Dior and lace pumps by Christian Dior.

Something for my Swiss and German based readers:
The new SI Style is available featuring my monthly fashion column. In this issue, I am giving my readers some “fashionable” details of my pregnancy and how it can be sometimes quite challenging to be a working mum. In case that you have ever wondered who is taking the photos of my outfits, it is my daughter. And I am very proud of her!
