With Kilian in Paris

The first weekend in October I flew to Paris with KILIAN PARIS for a three-day extravaganza to celebrate the Maison’s 15th anniversary.

We started with cocktails at the beautiful Kilian boutique at Rue Cambon, followed by a dinner at Bonnie, the new hot spot in the French capital, overlooking Paris and its stunning scenery from above. Please enjoy some impressions of the first night. The details of my look and the report about the next days will follow shortly.

«I want to put perfumery back on its pedestal by going back to the truth about perfume; back to the way perfume was made in the late 19th and the early 20th century, but adding a contemporary twist at the same time.» – Kilian Hennessy

Born into one of France’s most illustrious dynasties in fine liquors, Kilian Hennessy translates the sensibility and vision inherited from his ancestors into the realm of perfume. A culture of pursuing ultimate luxury, and his audacious rule-breaking approach, define his name’s sake brand, KILIAN PARIS.

After graduating, he then went on to train with the greatest noses in perfumery and worked for the most prestigious perfume houses such as Christian Dior, Paco Rabanne, Alexander McQueen and Giorgio Armani.

In 2007, Kilian launched his own namesake brand with the ambition of reflecting not only his distinct personality, but also to achieve a perfect alliance between elegance and uncompromising luxury. His «eco-luxe» philosophy that each bottle can be refilled and kept for a lifetime catapulted the brand to the top of the fragrance market and into a niche of its very own.

In 2022, Kilian celebrates fifteen years of perfume making and his foray into decorative cosmetics with a series of celebration around the globe, kicking it off in Paris. Stay tuned!

Bobbi Brown Luxe Lipstick

I am so proud to announce that I am a new ambassador for BOBBI BROWN. I have been a huge fan of the global prestige beauty brand that empowers women to embrace and enhance their individual beauty. In 1991, makeup-artist-turned-entrepreneur Bobbi Brown launched her namesake label. Since then, the brand has offered universally flattering products created with uncompromising quality and an intuitive sense of what every woman wants: to look and feel like herself, only prettier and more confident.

The first new product I would love to introduce you is a lipstick. But it is not «just another lipstick», it is a true upgrade. I wear lipstick everyday. I just love it.

The new LUXE LIPSTICK is inspired by New York City with its NYC-inspired case featuring a skyline silhouette and shades that tell a story. The slogan is «the color that never sleeps.» Personally speaking, I love lipsticks that are skincare-infused. The new LUXE LIPSTICKS promise 10-hour moisture and 10-hour wear. I tried them and it is true. The new creamy formula boosts color payoff while nourishing and conditioning lips thanks to an infusion of flower extracts and wax. The all-day wear resists fading, feathering, and smudging, providing the ultimate lip- loving comfort.

Available in a large selection of tempting 36 shades, you can create your own The Luxe Lip Wardrobe. Visit the nearest BOBBI BROWN counter next to you and indulge in this expanded range of wearable bolds and power neutrals. Or just get inspired by the color swaps, and order them online. The new lipsticks are available now for CHF 52.00 each. I am wearing 318 Rose Blossom in this post.

My Look: Fall Is Coming

Fall is coming and you can feel it everywhere. The colors change and the layers multiply. I love to mix and match old and new pieces. Going through my closet and browsing through my pieces, is something I absolutely enjoy. After the warm season, your personal winter wardrobe always feels kind of new again.

My look: Sequined crepe trench coaticon by Balmain, Alex metallic leather knee-high boots by Alexandre Vauthier, vintage metallic rose pink lambskin leather motorcycle city bag by Balenciaga, black and white tweed jumpsuit (S/S 2020 Look 8), tweed cap, and pearl earrings (Métiers d’Art 2015 Paris – Salzburg), all by CHANEL.

Prada Linea Rossa F/W 2022 Campaign

Prada Linea Rossa is celebrating such a big revival. First released in 1995 as «Prada Sport» and closed in the mid-’00s, the luxury athleisure line has a rich and storied history, one that demonstrates the brand’s seemingly endless relevancy. Relaunched in F/W 2018, Prada’s sporty line has been an ongoing success.

Motion, transformation, perpetual change – forever shifting, along a line drawn between two points. The Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2022 campaign reflects a fundamental ethos of dynamic locomotion, ceaseless movement between different poles. And through that motion, clothing transforms, adapting itself to divergent terrain, disparate needs and demands. Constantly changing, ever evolving.

The campaign captures this endless mood of wanderlust, in a series of photographs and motion image created by Norbert Schoerner. Within each, two realities create an impossible hybrid, capturing Linea Rossa as it morphs between extremes, between mountain terrain and urban ecosystems. The protagonists sprint between these environs, captured in movement, their speed blurring the world until two polar realities fuse seamlessly into one.

The imagery reflects the identity of the Linea Rossa collection, the interlacing of different universes, racing between one reality and another. Pieces draw on winter sports – the streamlining and padded protection of skiwear, translated to metropolitan clothes recalibrated for city living. Fabrics are designed to adapt to differing locales, to new demands – mixes of nylon, techno-knit and Prada Extreme-Tex form chassis around the body, achieving delicate balance between disparate elements, fluctuating temperatures, and the demands of the everyday. In striking monochrome enlivened with the iconic Linea Rossa emblem, these pieces are also fusions, of Prada’s minimalized style with high- performance sportswear, timelessly engineered for bodies in dynamic movement. .

Decent Exposure

Decent exposure is the key to success. Flash F/W 2022 most tempting trend. The nude mood will work for both exhibitionists and introverts. The new naked dress is sexy, confusing and here to stay… and if you look closer, it is actually not so naked at all.

My Look: Missing Summer

I am already missing summer so much that I want to show you one of my favorite looks shot at the beach of the Blue Palace Elounda hotel in Crete. In the background you can see the small island Spinalonga. It is actually a pretty creepy place, also known as the Leper Island, as that is where Greek lepers were quarantined until 1957.

My look is very colorful. The sunglasses are from the recent Loewe F/W 2022 collection. I adore the inflated style, it feels new. The Maison’s broken egg sandals are definitely a piece for the museum – I am completely obsessed. My bucket bag is from The Collector, a Geneva based brand, that is specialized in high end bags, preferably in exotic leathers.

My look: Lola cropped tie-front paneled linen topicon, matching Lola belted paneled linen midi skirt, and fringed faux raffia sunhat, all by Zimmermann, Broken egg sandals, and inflated oversized square-frame acetate sunglassesicon, both by Loewe, coral earrings by Oscar de la Renta, and bucket bag by The Collector.

My Look: Pink & Burgundy

Pink and burgundy – an unexpected color combination I absolutely adore. It feels sophisticated and different. The play between the lighter pink and darker burgundy provides quite the grounding contrast and when worn together it ensures you’ll turn heads everywhere you go.

My look: Concert leather-trimmed wool-blend coaticon, and Concert printed silk twill shirt dress, both by Zimmermann, VLOGO leather shoulder bag in pink, and Tan-Go patent leather platform pumps, both by Valentino, Dynasty oversized geometric-frame sunglasses by Balenciaga, and clip earrings by CHANEL (Métiers d’Art 2012 Paris – Bombay).

Christian Louboutin – The Lipstick Heel

Where others dream, Christian Louboutin turns fantasy into reality. Inspired by the Rouge Louboutin lipstick, this new bijou heel embodies the Maison’s exceptional savoir-faire.

The stiletto heels are sculpted in the form of the house’s signature precious lipstick gold cases for an ornate look.

Trending: The Hot Pink Jacket

Hot pink is trending – it’s THE shade that has been seen allover the streets during Paris Fashion Week last week. For Valentino’s F/W 2022 collection, Pierpaolo Piccioli focused on this single color and created 48 head-to-toe looks in the mood-boosting hue, that was developed in collaboration with Pantone. It so catchy and energetic that it got even its own name, Valentino Pink PP.

I recommend getting a blazer, expertly tailored, to sport the electrifying shade on a daily basis. The buttons should be neutral, no gold ones or anything else that could distract from the color that has come a long way from its days of simply being a staple in a little girl’s closet.

Below you can shop the best chic pink explosion jackets of the moment!
