Since it was first created in 1958, Louis Vuitton’s iconic LOCKIT has appeared in different guises, but surely none more desirable than its latest incarnation as a timelessly elegant day bag in supple Veau Cachemire leather.

Taking from the original design its distinctive curved top and emblematic LV padlock on the side, the LOCKIT also borrows elements from contemporary bags, in particular its slender handles and graphic central V, discreetly highlighted with filettos and contrast edges. As you know, I was recently in Los Angeles with Piaget. It has been one of the best trips ever to my favorite city in the world. I have so many amazing impressions to show you. At the moment, I am working my way through the millions of photos. Here is a teaser post of the outfit I wore to the cocktail party Piaget hosted at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica.

At the Piaget cocktail reception with Mousse Jacquier and Miss Switzerland 2005 Lauriane Gilliéron whom you might recognize from the recent Nespresso commercial with George Clooney and Matt Damon.

Yesterday I had the pleasure to interview supermodel Miranda Kerr for a very interesting project that will be revealed soon in L’Officiel Switzerland (and of course on Sandra’s Closet). Having the chance to talk to her, I was totally curious to find out more about her amazing skin care line KORA ORGANICS by Miranda Kerr that I adore. Being a green goddess and organic-devotee from Down Under, Miranda set up her skincare brand because she couldn’t find pure natural beauty products that delivered high performance results. Pleats are a must this season, spotted at the S/S 2014 runway shows of Haider Ackermann, Victoria Beckham, Proenza Schouler and Dries Van Noten. But how do you wear this trend without looking too conservative? Actually, it is very easy. Calf length skirts are the way to go. Preferably they come with some metallic details to add a little bling to your look.

Chicago is, hands down, the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, outside of Ireland. As most of you know, I had lived in the Windy City for two years before I moved to Zurich and always loved seeing the Chicago River dyed in a brilliant shade of green (a tradition that dates back to 1962). A great inspiration for today’s post.

TIPS & TRICKS

WHITE EYES

Step 1: Apply Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot Blazing White all over your lid and brow bone generously for a fresh and elegant glow around your eyes.
Step 2: To give your eyes a more intense look use Covergirl Flamed Out Mascara. Depending on your personal taste just keep adding layers in order to accentuate the powerful look.
