During London Fashion Week, I attended the S/S 2015 show of one of my favorite designers: Mary Katrantzou who really surprised the fashion crowd with this unexpected collection. The runway looked like lava and you could already guess her inspiration upon arrival. I sat front row next to Alexa Chung and spotted the best pieces for you.

A seismic shift for the print master, Mary’s S/S 2015 collection beautifully embodies earth’s tectonic plates. The palette mirrors the planet’s evolving state as natural tones shift into oceanic blues and lush pastels. Verdant guipure lace and metallic ridges evoke rich landscapes atop fissured dresses and separates.

After one month of fashion craziness, I have to admit that I was pretty relieved when the last day of Paris Fashion Week had finally arrived. No time to change in between, I was running from one show to another, followed by several showroom appointments. So I had to choose one outfit to wear all day…

My look: Jacquard jacket, cady top, leather mini skirt, Swarovski crystal-embellished fringed leather clutch and crystal embellished biker boots, all by Miu Miu. Rockstud Rouge crystal acetate sunglasses by Valentino and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

One week ago, when I just got back from Paris Fashion Week, I attended in the evening the official re-opening of the BOSS flagship store on Zurich’s famous Bahnhofstrasse. It was a very fun event that started in the 600 m² shop with a cocktail reception. The new interior looks super cool with its black steel structures, mirrored elements and glossy surfaces – heaven for every shopaholic.

I was really a BOSS(y) girl that night wearing a BOSS head to toe look. The black dress is from the F/W 2014 collection as well as the gorgeous heels and the Romy leather bag. With Jason Wu at the helmet, BOSS can look forward to a rosy future, that is for sure.

After the cocktail reception in the boutique, the approximately 250 invited guests were transferred to the FLUX Laboratory at Schiffsbau where a stunning forest setting awaited the crowd along with delicious food, drinks and great music. A truly fun party!

During London Fashion Week, I attended the Peter Pilotto S/S 2015 show which was one of my favorites. A colorful, fun collection for all rainbow warriors among us.

Technicolor tones and psychedelic cyber florals, the ’70s-tinged presentation ventured beyond prints with paisley macramé straps, black dresses decorated in neon jacquards, and handkerchief silhouettes rippling with iridescent organza.

Finally we have some breaking fashion news again: John Galliano joins Maison Martin Margiela. The designer, who is regarded as one of contemporary fashion’s most outstanding talents, has been absent from the catwalks after he was fired from Dior in 2011 for allegedly making anti-Semitic remarks and assault (for the previous post, please click here).

Diesel’s jeans genius Renzo Rosso, whose group OTB controls Margiela via a subsidiary called Neuf, said to WWD: “Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul. John Galliano is one of the greatest, undisputed talents of all time — a unique, exceptional couturier for a maison that always challenged and innovated the world of fashion. I look forward to his return to create that fashion dream that only he can create, and wish him to here find his new home.”

John Galliano is said to take over the design leadership of all Margiela lines, including couture and the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections. His first designs for his new home are expected to be seen in January during Paris Couture Week. Martin Margiela retired in 2009 and an anonymous team continued his legacy. Even that Galliano doesn’t seem the most obvious choice, I think that he is absolutely capable to revolutionize the brand again.

People have short memories, especially if Galliano delivers a desirable collection. Isn’t it easier to forgive than forget?! Let’s give Galliano a new lease on life… everyone deserves that!

Boost your autumn weekend with a last-minute treat from this edit. After four weeks of fashion craziness, I finally slept in in my beloved satin-crepe pajama set by Donna Karan Sleepwear. Today, I will enjoy to the fullest in this cozy bleached out slub jersey jumpsuit by Eberjey.

While the amazing smell of a scented candle by Fornasetti starts already filling my living room, I snuggle on the couch with this hardcover book ‘The World According to Karl‘ published by Thames & Hudson and listen to the 53 Sound by Visionaire. Later I will treat myself with my beloved jasmine and lily healing mask by Chantecaille and prepare some posts for next week. Pure heaven! And no photos today….

Paris Fashion Week was awesome, filled with many magical moments that I will share with you constantly during the next weeks. Here you see me running from one show to another at the corner of Rue de Castiglione and Rue du Faubourg Saint- Honoré wearing the season’s optical trend. Aren’t graphic stripes so much fun?!

This summer, I was invited by Vainard Fine Jewellery, the renowned Zurich-based jeweler, to fly to Idar-Oberstein, Germany’s famous gemstone centre, in a private jet to experience the house’s craftsmanship first hand. It was a very interesting trip and I cannot wait to show you the detailed post to share with you the beauty of diamonds.

It might sounds crazy as it is the second day of October, but the new holiday collections are starting to arrive at my doorstep, so I can’t help sharing with you the first releases. Let me get started with the fabulous OPI Gwen Stefani Holiday 2014 nail lacquers.

If you were into the previous release of OPI Spring 2014 Gwen Stefani Collection, then you will surely adore the new one which includes 18 nail polishes (CHF23.90 each) and the “Don’t Speak” Pure 18K Gold Top Coat (CHF 49.90).

Here are the swatches, I personally adore the glitter shades that can be mixed and matched with the other colors for the right Christmas sparkle.

The collection will hit the stores in Switzerland in the end of October 2014.
