When I read about this project, I was immediately drawn to it. Such a cool idea! John Malkovich and director Robert Rodriguez have teamed up with LOUIS XIII Cognac, one of the most luxurious spirits in the world, to make a movie that predicts what life will be like 100 years in the future. «100 YEARS: THE MOVIE YOU WILL NEVER SEE» won’t be released – and now read carefully – until November 2115. Yes, my dear readers, that means we all will never get to watch it.
The famous LOUIS XIII Cognac
LOUIS XIII Decanter Baccarat
The inspiration behind it was to draw attention to all the hard work that it takes to make each decanter of LOUIS XIII Cognac. Its grapes grow in the chalky soils of Grande Champagne, the most sought-after area of the Cognac region, in France. Just as four generations of cellar masters dedicate their lives to creating a masterpiece that they will never be tasting, the cast and crew of «100 Years» will never see the final cut of the film.
Grande Champagne landscape
A French art de vivre enthusiast, John Malkovich not only plays the leading role alongside Shuya Chang but also developed the original screenplay for «100 Years». This ground-breaking film comes with a lot of special effects and imagines how our planet might look like in a century in three different scenarios.
The first one shows the Earth overtaken by nature after it has been devastated by chemical warfare. Another explores the idea of a dark world ruled by technology. And in the third hypothetical vision, humanoid robots have taken control of the planet and humans have to run to escape.
To ensure that «100 Years» remains secure until its official premiere one century from now, the film was placed in a state-of-the-art safe, created in partnership with Fichet-Bauche, which will open automatically in 100 years when the timing is complete. The custom made piece is a marvel of design, featuring bulletproof glass and a revolutionary timer. Upon the closing of the safe, the door will not open until the countdown is complete, not even with a code or a key, regardless of access to a power source.
Le Grollet House of LOUIS XIII
For the premiere on November 18, 2115, one thousand guests from around the world received an exclusive invitation to give to their descendants to attend the big event at the House of LOUIS XIII, the Domaine du Grollet, in Cognac, France. Isn’t it amazing to imagine that some people might look up this post in 100 years and think of us, the ones that never saw the movie.
This outstanding project «100 Years» was celebrated on last Wednesday with an exclusive preview of the film’s trailer at James Goldstein‘s Sheats Goldstein Mansion in Los Angeles. During the invitation only event, John Malkovich, with LOUIS XIII, ceremoniously placed the film reel into the custom safe and set the timer for the official premiere in November 18th, 2115. This safe will be transported around the world under high-level security for an international tour beginning in Hong Kong on December 11th, before it reaches its final destination at the House of LOUIS XIII in Cognac.

RED AND BLACK – THE BOLDEST BLEND
The best throwback in a long time!
In 1994, a uniquely striking LE VERNIS shade was revealed on the CHANEL F/W 1995 runway, and a legend was born: ROUGE NOIR. This year, a gleaming Holiday colour collection celebrates the rebellious black-red, ‘Vamp’ — the shade that became an icon. I still remember how blessed I felt 20 years ago when I got my hands as one of the first ones on one of those popular bottles.
Revive your vamp attitude!

Can you imagine that Sandra’s Closet is turning 6 today?! This is my 2766th posts – I still cannot believe the amazing journey I went on for the last six years as a blogger.
Fashionable encounters, exciting moments, traveling the world, I met so many interesting people, celebrities and fashion designers and I truly enjoyed every single bit of it! Therefore I would like to thank all of you who follow my adventures – without you, my dear subscribers and avid readers, this wouldn’t have been possible.

Reminiscent of a 16th century Italian palace, Palazzo Versace Dubai, a Neoclassical masterpiece with subtle traces of Arabian architecture and the most luxurious hotel the Middle East has ever seen, has opened its doors this November. Artistic director Donatella Versace has exclusively designed the interiors and furniture for each of the 215 rooms, bringing the opulent universe of Versace truly to life.
Grande Suite
Every detail is exquisite, from the ceilings hand-detailed in gold, to the finest marbles and mosaics.
Throughout the design run the iconic motifs of the Italian fashion house, such as the Medusa head, the Greek Key and the legendary prints, with many designs created exclusively for the Palazzo Versace Dubai.
The impressive lobby.
The grand lobby features an extraordinary 1000sqm marble mosaic floor, with bespoke furniture and textiles decorated with peacocks, falcons and horses.
Vanitas restaurant
For all-day dining, the Giardino has marble flooring and columns, with the walls decorated in a special edition of the iconic Jungle print from Versace Wallpaper collection. Meanwhile the Vanitas restaurant is like a classical Italian palace, with handmade wall decorations featuring the Grottesche Italiane.
Residence Living Room
Palazzo Versace Dubai will also be home to 169 residences, ranging from one to six bedrooms, each decorated and furnished in the true Versace style.
The pool
Situated in the heart of the city, Palazzo Versace Dubai is at the centre of the new Culture Village, located on a prime waterfront plot with unobstructed views of the Dubai Creek.
Palazzo Versace Dubai Executive Suite
This is the second Palazzo. The first, on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, is the world’s first fashion branded hotel concept. Following the opening of Palazzo Versace Dubai, the next Palazzo will be built in Macau.
Cannot wait to stay there the next time I will be in Dubai.
Who said track suits cannot look glamorous? Yes, I know, it was Karl Lagerfeld who stated: «Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life, so you bought some sweatpants.» That is the only one of his statements, I definitely disagree with him. What would I be without my comfy clothes? Between all those days of running around in 5 inch heels, I need to feel the most at ease at possible. This outfit would also be something I would wear on a long distance flight. Comfy without looking tacky, what else would you want?!
«This scent is about framing the orris to bring out its unique duality; it is both woody and powdery, floral and deep.» Pierre Négrin, Master Perfumer
Jo Malone is adding a new fragrance to their Cologne Intense collection: ORRIS & SANDALWOOD, a beautiful warm and sensual scent, reminiscent of aromatic Tuscan hills.
Top notes: Violet Middle notes: Orris Base notes: Sandalwood
Fragrance Combining™
For added warmth, combine it with Mimosa & Cardamom. For a more floral depth, it works best with Dark Amber & Ginger Lily.
The new Cologne Intense will be available from January 4, 2016 for CHF 165.00 (100ml).

To celebrate the end-of-year holidays, Giorgio Armani Beauty has chosen to pay tribute to 30’s and 40’s film legends.
Queens of Hollywood Glamour, the enigmatic Marlene Dietrich, platinum bombshell Jean Harlow and flamboyant Rita Hayworth captivated millions of film-goers with their undeniable chic. Typical of the glamour of the era, their sophisticated style fascinates to this day: translucent complexions, radiant eyes highlighted with a subtle dash of eyeliner, and scarlet mouths to complete the look.
Giorgio Armani’s oversized Luxe Is More Face & Eye Palette features ten harmonious eyeshadow shades, a silky compact powder and two shades of cream foundation.
CHF 169.00
The now famous Giorgio Armani Eye Tint is available in three light-infused nude shades. The classic formula for this product has been enriched in ‘Mirage Bright Silver’ pearl particles and pigments to create dashes of silvery light to intensify the gaze:
N°16 Rose Platinum, N°17 Hollywood, N°18 Silver Mirage
CHF 52.00 each
Combined, mix and match-style with the Luxe Is More eyeshadows, the Eye Tint fluid can be used like an eyeliner or layered for a sophisticated look.
More sophisticated than a lip gloss, and more radiant than a matte lipstick, the must-have Lip Maestro lip lacquer is more desirable than ever before with a ‘Fire Spectral’ pearl- enriched formula. Iridescent pearl particles have been added to the classic formula for the first time to enhance the original matte finish with unique luminosity. And let’s not forget the velvety-soft feeling upon contact with the lips, and the unparalleled comfort even after several hours of wear.
The fall colors were amazing this year. Yes, it was that beautiful. The leaves were crunching under my feet as I strolled along on these crisp Zurich days, enjoying the sunshine.
Fall 2015- we wished you would never leave us…
My look: Tweed jacket, tweet print cardigan and matching dress, all by Dolce & Gabbana, suede boots by Prada, wool-felt trilbyby Gucci, tricolor tote bag by Céline, necklace by Chanel, Limelight Gala watch by Piaget, «Sidereal 2» sunglasses and earrings, both by Dior and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
I am in love with DIOR Diorskin Airflash Spray Foundation that I mostly use when I go out. This aerosol foundation delivers a runway-ready airbrushed effect with precision and ease. It can be tricky to use, therefore I recommend spraying it on brush instead of spraying it directly on your face. If you spray directly, you should absolutely protect your hairline, your clothes and close your eyes. Once sprayed on, it dries very fast so blending must be quick.
The coverage you get depends on your application, from a sheer veil of color to a rich coverage. It is long-wearing with silky matte finish.
A really great product that I can highly recommend. The go-to solution for professional makeup maestros. Diorskin Airflash is available for CHF 75.00.
