Gucci Pet Collection

May I introduce you to the new Gucci Pet Collection —a wide-ranging selection of items designed for dogs and cats that combines high-quality materials and craftsmanship with innovation, and many of the House’s signature motifs. The new line continues the narrative of surprise and delight behind Gucci Lifestyle, launched in September 2021 and inspired by a cabinet of curiosities—a place that could accommodate all of the fine, well- crafted that, while part of everyday life, still give off a magical and wonderful aura.

The offering includes collars and harnesses in plain leather, GG canvas, Web stripe, or the Herbarium or all-over geometric G print, and embellished with details like the Interlocking G logo or studs. Leashes in varying lengths and widths, bag holders, and Air Tag cases, are all available in the same materials and motifs to coordinate or mix and match.

Within a selection of items that also serve as design pieces for the home are Made-to-Order miniature couches on which pets can lounge, feeding bowls with various House prints, cloches to cover bowls with, hard-sided cases with removable ceramic bowls and handles for easy transport as well as coordinated feeding mats.

For pets who travel often, comfortable carriers in GG canvas are also part of the mix. Apparel includes polos, T-shirts, knitwear, and coats, distinguished by a vibrant palette and playful, signature motifs like all-over strawberries and hearts to Interlocking Gs and the classic monogram, also seen in the House’s ready-to-wear, creating opportunities for matching looks.

In line with the House’s commitment to sustainability, the Gucci Pet Collection includes items in recycled polyester, recycled cotton or DemetraGucci’s groundbreaking material that was unveiled in June 2021 after two years of in-House research and development. Demetra combines quality, softness, and durability with an eco-friendly ethos and is made from animal-free raw materials that are primarily from renewable and bio-based sources. Created from the House’s desire to explore and innovate materials for the future, Demetra is manufactured entirely in a Gucci factory in Italy using the same expertise and processes for tanning that give the material its pliable and resilient performance with a supple finish.

The new category is unveiled through a campaign with art direction and photography by Max Siedentopf. Infused with a retro-inspired, dream-like patina, a playful cast of dogs and cats of various types and sizes, wearing pieces from the new collection, are set against clean and colorful backgrounds that allow each animal’s personality to shine, inspired by the House’s underlying vision of individuality.

Prada Drops Second Timecapsule NFT

Prada announces the release of its second Timecapsule NFT Collection, which is linked to both a gender-neutral physical product and a gifted NFT. This NFT drop follows the launch of the first Timecapsule NFT Collection on June 2nd in collaboration with artist Cassius Hirst.
The Timecapsule NFT Collection debut resulted in an immediate sell-out of the collection. The launch also coincided with the creation of the «Prada Crypted» server on Discord which gained a large following solidifying the brands commitment to building an inclusive Web3 community, but this is just the beginning of the journey.

A key design element of this latest Timecapsule shirt is that the garment is made from upcycled fabrics from the Prada archives. By turning iconic printed textiles into a unique design, these materials are given a new life, perfectly in line with the Brand’s sustainability strategy and approach to circular thinking.

This shirt, which is #31 drop in the Timecapsule Collection, is emblazoned with the calendar month of «July». It features a black color pipeline matched with the Holliday & Brown tulip print on a cotton poplin base. It also features a «Jacquard Animalier» silk brocade and lurex fabric; as well as Jacquard Thrush (flower), a silk fabric produced from an early 20th century French archive. The final details of the design include a «Poplin Loto» printed fabric with deco inspiration.

The Timecapsule is a monthly online event: for 24 hours, on the first Thursday of every month, an exclusive item is made available on prada.com in very limited quantities, in selected markets. Each limited-edition Timecapsule item is associated with a unique serial number and is delivered with custom packaging. By purchasing the Timecapsule, customers will be able to redeem the related NFT which will be available, in a second phase, also for those who bought the Timecapsule dating back to the first launch in December 2019. As such, there is a synergy between the Prada Timecapsule and the scarcity and desirability of NFTs.

The NFT includes the drop serial number and the numbering of each physical item in order to have an exact correspondence. NFT owners are then offered exclusive benefits and experiences as well as access to future drops. Prada Timecapsule NFTs are issued on the Ethereum blockchain, offering a secure and user-friendly experience. The drop is facilitated by leveraging the Aura Blockchain Consortium’s NFT Solution and technology.

The Prada Timecapsule drop is open to customers in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China Mainland, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong S.A.R., Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan (China), Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States for 24 hours only, starting from July 7, 2022 at 3pm – CEST, limited to 50 items.

My Look: Five Party

Welcome to The Penthouse at FIVE Zurich, opening this week. The vibrant restaurant and nightclub offer spectacular views of Zurich’s stunning skyline and will be hopefully host to some of the best parties in town. Before the official opening I went to photograph this fun Versace outfit that is adorned with the house’s signature Barocco motif and the iconic safety pins in fun colors. The miniature bag adds a little sparkle to the outfit.

My look: Barocco Goddess cropped shirt, safety pin detailed mini skirt, Medusa Aevitas embellished satin platform pumpsicon, La Medusa micro crystal-embellished suede toteicon, and Medusa embossed earrings, all by Versace.

Carefully crafted street food delights, artistic masterpieces, on the heartbeat of experiential dining and the best parties in town – one thing is for sure, you are set to have a good time. I was at the show last October and knew immediately which looks to order such as this gorgeous ensemble. More to come from this collection. Stay tuned!

My look: Black and white bra top, striped long skirt (both pieces from Look 22 S/S 2022), black cardiganheart shape bag, logo printed sandals with 100mm heel, small black leather belt with chain, metal and glass pearl belt, and long pearl earrings, all by CHANEL.

The Top 20 Runway Trends for F/W 2022

Being still in the throes of a global pandemic, and following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, it was a bizarre fashion week. It felt awkward on one side, on the other you saw that designers felt that urge to live again, while setting a statement.

The revival of the 2000s «Y2K» which is the shorthand for «the year 2000» is still going strong along with vibrant colors and strong shoulders on which you can carry the weight of the world. Literally.

Enjoy those beautiful collections and as I wished already six months ago, let’s hope again that we will find peace this season and finally learn from our history.

LoL, Sandra

The must-have of the season is actually a very summery item. The white tank top gives an elevated take on wardrobe essentials this season.

Never out of style, the flight jacket aka bomber jacket is a wardrobe hero that can be worn for all occasions. From morning walk to weekend lunch to evening gala, it has had various luxe updates for fall.

Silhouettes built for speed give motorcross its fashion credentials.

More and more designers skip animal fur and work on creating the perfect faux fur. This winter mainly in neutral colors and oversized shapes.

This winter, leather is a second skin and creates eye-catching looks.

Knitwear combinations in form of dresses with cardigans or sweater with matching skirts are all the rage this winter.

Attention catwomen! Luxe leopard is really feeling fresh again.

Strong shoulders have been seen frequently at Balenciaga. Thanks to Demna Gvasalia who shaped the fashion industry in myriad ways, this detail has inspired many runway shows this winter. In form of oversized blazers styled in different ways, they are the key pieces to look for.

Corporate tailoring is heading out-of-office for autumn. Oversized tailoring, crazy prints and vibrant colors promise a fabulous sabbatical.

Mood-boosting hues in rainbow colors – designers used those shades often head-to-toe or in color block options.

Transparency takes it up a notch also for winter in skin-tight silhouettes and fearless cut-outs. The difference now? Body-con isn’t just for twiglets. Models of all sizes sported the looks down the runways.

The Y2K trend is here to stay. Also this F/W 2022 season, low-rise waists, micro minis, visible underwear and all-over denim live their revival to the fullest. The 2000s are back!

Another revival that has been spotted on several runways is the punk-fuelled trend. Tartan patchworks, edgy lines and multiple buckles add to the vibe.

Back to school! The coolest uniforms break out of the classroom and onto the runway.

This season, fashion is extreme. Either you wear miniskirts or opt for great lengths that fell to the floor this fall.

Red alert! The modern woman dresses head to toe in tight pants and sexy tops in the most feminine color of all.

Corsets and a focus on the waist are huge this winter season. The best way? Corsetry introduces structured lines to flowing gowns for a contemporary feminine silhouette.

Fashion can be art, it is a form of expression. With all uncertainties in the world, designers are creating looks to dress up. Layered, colorful, voluminous, and wild to unleash your inner child.

The perfect looks for happily ever after stories with tulle fabrications so light they are reminiscent of cloud nine, painted in a delicate palette of pastel shades.

The Roaring Twenties: Art Deco accents, boas and shimmering details ask for a Great Gatsby revival at its best.

My Look: Maiden Shanghai

Maiden Shanghai is a new exploration of authentic Chinese cooking in a spectacular setting at the new FIVE Zurich hotel that will open its doors next week. With dramatic views over the Swiss city, it contains a bold dining area and outdoor terrace, aas well as a private dining room. The decor playfully fuses the traditional with the boldly modern, creating spaces that feel open yet connected.

The interior design served as the perfect background to wear for the first time this fun look from the collaboration between French Haute Couture label Jean Paul Gaultier (JPG) and stylist of the moment Lotta Volkova.

My look: Two-piece wool blazericonlace-up crepe and satin leggings, and lace-up satin bralette, all by Jean Paul Gaultier + Lotta Volkovasilver-tone crystal clip earrings by Alessandra Rich, Dr Bored Paloma clutch mini, and Pinupina 130 limited edition pumps, both by Christian Louboutin.

Cartier Mykonos

What better moment than the summer holidays to embark on a journey of meeting clients and building a relationship? At Cartier, it’s a tradition that began towards the end of the 19th century. At the time, the jeweller would set up shop on the Riviera, between Cannes and Monaco, from June to September. This summer, Cartier will arrive in Nammos Village, Mykonos.

More than simple pop-ups, these seasonal boutiques are meeting places full of life, with a product range focused on the season’s desire for travel and colour – summer jewellery or watches that can be personalised on the spot. Their collections build a connection to their sun-filled destinations: the new photovoltaic Tank watches and their deep blue bracelets, the brightly coloured stones of the Berlingots de Cartier jewellery, and the Double C de Cartier bags with their pastel enamelled initials.

From shining and engraving to cord changes for the Trinity bracelet, the summer services are joyful experiences from start to finish: the hand delivery by a Cartier groom. These unmissable experiences are brought to life by works from the artist Konstantin Kakanias, known for the refined fantasy and sophistication of his installations.

«I imagined fun summer days and nights, with a totally free spirit where we indulge in nature, light, water, love, and beautiful things. Collaborating with Cartier was a real privilege, the Maison has such a rich vocabulary and history, which I loved to work withKonstantin Kakanias, Illustrator

The sun-drenched encounters continue beyond the walls of the boutiques with a program of events to encapsulate the feeling of a summer holiday, moving to the beat of a seaside escape.

I will be in Mykonos in August and cannot wait to explore this fun new place.

Kologne – Shield of Protection

Cologne is classic. Kologne, shield of protection by KILIAN PARIS is next generation.
Splash into a Kool summer with an incredible sensory trip across freshness, intensity and time. Perfume is like a shield of protection to Founder Kilian Hennessy, emboldening our unconscious fears with a sense of security and the new Kologne is the ultimate olfactive expression of this belief. He created a scent for feeling protected anywhere, anytime, as an aura of purity and vitality in an instant spritz.

Cologne is named after the German city, where Italian perfumer Giovanni Maria Farina created the citrus, rosemary and alcohol blend Eau de Cologne in 1709; yet its origins go deeper.
Eau de Cologne was inspired by recipes from the Middle Ages, «versatile remedies» called Aquae Mirabile, or mixtures of antiseptic aromatic herbs used to «cleanse» the air. It also referenced L’Eau de la Reine de Hongrie, an herb blend used in the fairytale ‘Sleeping Beauty’ to awaken the legendary princess.

Founder Kilian Hennessy had been developing his own cologne for years, sparked by a desire to return to the roots and meaning of this unique genre of perfume. Together with perfumer Calice Becker, his own ‘shield of protection’ has been forged.

A playful garden of delight, Kologne, shield of protection debuts with luminous citrus notes of green mandarin, bitter orange leading into a heart of rosemary, mint and neroli. A sophisticated, woodsy dry-down is built upon cedarwood, cashmeran and a distinctive ‘sap’ accord composed of green vegetal notes.

Kologne, shield of protection’s perfume bottle is vivid blue, colored like the perfect summer night pool party with gun metal hardware accents. The bottle features KILIAN PARIS’s signature style: angular and elegant with art deco design undertones, as well as its iconic motif along the sides: concentric circles inspired by the divine shield crafted for the ancient Greek warrior, Achilles.

An olfactive armor, a source of personal power, and an immediate uplift for the Kraziest KILIAN PARIS summer. The new Kologne Kilian Paris is available now for CHF 240 (50ml). In Switzerland at Jelmoli Zurich, Globus Zurich and Globus Geneva.
