I have some severe issues with the mailing system and during the next days Sandra’s Closet might be offline from time to time. In the meantime, I would kindly invite you to check back and hope that you will like this outfit post with pieces from Dolce & Gabbana’s fairytale collection in an enchanted forest.

Fash Friday: Coachella

Coachella 2015

When you think “festival fashion,” Coachella, which starts today, is pretty much the gold standard. With the stylish crowd gathered in one dusty desert destination, decked out in their boho best, it’s a feast for the eyes. With the emergence of ’70s styles on the S/S 2015 runways, adapting to the boho vibe seems to be an easy task. Take, for example, fringe. From fringe hemlines to cropped tops, gorgeous flats and even bags, the look is everywhere you turn at a music festival. Here is some style inspiration.

Get the look: Fringed leather biker jacketicon by Balmaincropped cutout stretch-knit top by Jonathan Simkhai, cut-off denim shorts iconand Monogramme fringed suede shoulder bag, both by Saint Laurent, Virginie rabbit-felt fedora iconby Maison Michelgold-plated chain bib necklace iconby Ben Amun, aviator-style gold-tone mirrored sunglassesicon and leopard-print calf hair point-toe flatsicon, both by Victoria Beckham.

A hat looks always stylish or opt for a flower crown. Colour some cute daisies under your eyes for the ultimate hippie feeling or stitch some floral lace around one hemline of your denim shorts. Wether you are in Palm Springs or not, this style looks great everywhere.

My Look: Timeless Portofino

Sandra Bauknecht - Timeless Portofino - My Look -IWC Schaffhausen

As part of the 10th Zurich Film Festival (ZFF), Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen invited me for the opening of the “Timeless Portofino” exhibition.

CEO Georges Kern was joined by Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett and renowned photographer Peter Lindbergh to present the amazing result of a photo shoot which involved a host of stars, such as Emily Blunt, Zhou Xun, Ewan McGregor, Christoph Waltz among others and was organized by IWC especially for the launch of its new Portofino Midsize collection. Before the exhibition set off around the world, IWC celebrated the world premiere with around 250 guests and invited them to a glamorous gala dinner (see yesterday’s post here). Enjoy my outfit post and the photos that I took from above upon the arrival of the famous guests as I was already inside the exhibition.

My look: Embroidered wrap-over mini-dress by Balmain, metallic and matte-leather pumps iconand Sac De Jour Nano leather shoulder bagicon, both by Saint Laurent, sunglasses by Tom Ford, statement necklace by Dior, «Mitza» ring by Dior Haute Joaillerie and Portofino midsize watch with diamonds by IWC Schaffhausen.

My Look: Pattern Play

Sandra Bauknecht - Pattern Play- Peter Pilotto

Today’s outfit post is dedicated to the amazing IWC Schaffhausen gala that took place last September during the Zurich Film Festival. I wore a very colorful gown by Peter Pilotto that I adore. The “mix and match” effect of the fabrics is extremely up to date. Hollywood actress Cate Blanchett, who was the star of the night, sported the floral print trend as well. I have included some impressions of this extraordinary event for you. A huge thank you to Andrea Monica Hug who took some photos of me upon my arrival.

My Look: Whatever

Sandra Bauknecht - Whatever -Carven Dress-Saint Laurent Bag

Last week started off terribly. My mail system and my iPhone both broke at the same time. Great news for an editor-in-chief and a blogger, especially when it happens while travelling and you cannot access anything or do something about it. So I thought “whatever” and tried to make the best out of it… time to sport the sequined gun bag!

My look: Denim vest iconand sequined gun shoulder bag, both by Saint Laurent, lace and gingham sweater dress iconby Carven, Monogram scarf by Louis Vuittonsuede and ostrich thigh boots by Emilio Pucci, Limelight Gala watch by Piaget and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

My Look: A Weekend in Moscow

Sandra Bauknecht - A Weekend in Moscow

As you know, I spent last week in Los Angeles. Nice weather and sunshine most of the time. Friday I left to Moscow, which literally meant a 40°C difference in temperature and 11 hours in time, but those facts didn’t stop me from having a great weekend in the Russian city. Here you see me at the Red Square on Saturday. It was my first time back after 30 years.

My look: Shearling coat by Pradametallic panel sweatericon by Givenchy, classic Plonge leather shorts by Saint Laurent, leopard-print scarf by Balmain, envelope bag by Céline and black leather boots by Chanel.

My Look: A Simple Truth

Sandra Bauknecht - A Simple Truth - Mauritius

A simple truth is that I like summer much better than winter and that I still remember those warm days I had in December when I I flew to Mauritius and stayed at the new beautiful LUX* Belle Mare resort. Even that it was raining most of the time, I could still wear something light.

My look: White lace embroidered slip dress iconby Thakoon, Rodizio clutch by Mary KatrantzouAlice leather sandals with pearls by Saint Laurent, Amulette necklace by Cartier, candy necklace by Chanel, Tiffany T bracelet in rose gold by Tiffany & Co. and Lady Excalibur watch by Roger Dubuis.

Speaking of which, while you are reading this post, I am on my way to sunny Los Angeles…
stay tuned for more.
