Everyone is into a retro denim style this year, with wide-leg jeans being a major must-have. This trend cycles through every decade, and it’s returning as a massive staple in 2022. I especially love this pair with its printed inserts. It reminds me so much of the ’90s when we were sewing these details into the side seams of our jeans. Luxe hippie at its best!

The photos were taken at Clinique La Prairie, where I cannot wait to go back after all the fashion week craziness.

VETIVER AT ITS FINEST
For this exclusive creation, CHANEL In-House Perfumer-Creator Olivier Polge composed SYCOMORE Parfum, a woody fragrance with notes of vetiver, cedar, and vanilla. SYCOMORE Parfum features intensified accords of SYCOMORE Eau de Parfum. It leaves a powerful and enveloping trail, amplifying its sensuousness. Paired with notes of iris and subtly enhanced by accents of leather and vanilla is lively —nearly frenetic— vetiver.

BACCARAT CRYSTAL AND MAISON LESAGE EMBROIDERY
Presented in a Baccarat crystal bottle, sealed with a fine baudruche and stamped with the CHANEL double C to preserve its precious scent, SYCOMORE Parfum is displayed in a luxurious coffret embroidered by Maison Lesage artisans.
The finest raw materials that compose the new Parfum are represented through embroidery in a rich autumnal scene depicting the olfactory atmosphere of SYCOMORE. The coffret acts as a canvas for amethyst bicone beads and passementerie pearls, symbolic of pink peppercorns and juniper berries. Thin wood shavings intertwined with golden threads recall the amber hue of the fragrance and the sycamore forest floor, littered with samaras and transected by rays of light.
Each numbered piece is a true collector’s item; «SYCOMORE and Maisons d’art» celebrates both the excellence of CHANEL Parfumeur and the unique craftsmanship of embroiderer Lesage.

As promised in yesterday’s post, I will show you how to sport a catsuit. It doesn’t need to be a style for the night only. How cool is this color-blocking combination for a day in Saint Tropez. The photos were taken inside the little gardens of the beautiful Byblos Hotel.

My look: Silk satin headband, and cutout halterneck jumpsuit, both by Saint Laurent, gold-tone crystal belt by Gucci, One Rockstud bag in ultra marine green by Valentino, hoop earrings and mules with multicolored letters, both by CHANEL.

More than 55 years on, the Byblos Hotel remains a Saint-Tropez legend with multiple facets and I love spending my summers there. Dazzling like the sun, the yellow banister of the grand staircase, that leads from the reception to the pool area, is one of my favorite spots in the hotel. It’s a joyful and playful work by French ceramist Roger Capron, that was the perfect backdrop to shoot this wonderful CHANEL outfit.

St. Tropez nights are just amazing – one of my favorite spots is the terrace of my hotel, the Byblos St. Tropez. On my way from my suite to the pool area, I always pass the Galerie Palmer. The paintings were the perfect backdrop to shoot this vibrant Fendace look.

Do you know La Plonche? It is one of my favorite parts of Saint Tropez, hidden away from the masses at the port. Sitting close into the buildings of the old town, the small beach is fronting the oldest part of the French village and offers stunning sea views. You need to walk round a small coastal path to reach it. It is a legendary, fairytale place. Brigitte Bardot was a regular at the iconic Hôtel de la Ponche around the corner.

I absolutely love to wear Zimmermann dresses in Saint Tropez. It is the perfect brand for the Riviera.

Welcome to Soul Street at FIVE Zurich! Carefully crafted street food delights, artistic masterpieces, on the heartbeat of experiential dining and the best parties in town – one thing is for sure, you are set to have a good time. Before the official opening I shot one of my favorite summer looks there. CHANEL S/S 2022 is an ode to the 1990s – the time when I fell in love with the brand.
