Last week, I received a fabulous surprise from the House of KARL LAGERFELD for the launch of their new ONLINE SHOP. This extremely sweet postcard clutch which is part of the «Karl around the World» collection adds this certain twist to every look and is sure to draw attention. It easily fits your cell phone, credit cards and lipstick. Moreover, it looks great with an evening gown as well combined with jeans and a sweater as I did for this shoot that was all about hearts and love.
My look: Double breasted tweed coat and lace-up leather pumps, both by Saint Laurent
sequined sweater by H&M, Pedal Icon ’85 Indigo Denim jeans by Closed, With Love from Karl postcard clutch by Karl Lagerfeld, vintage heart earrings by Chanel, diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery and Portofino Midsize Automatic watch with diamonds and grey alligator bracelet by IWC Schaffhausen.

Can you imagine that Sandra’s Closet is turning 6 today?! This is my 2766th posts – I still cannot believe the amazing journey I went on for the last six years as a blogger.
My first post on November 23, 2009: The Birkin Bag
Fashionable encounters, exciting moments, traveling the world, I met so many interesting people, celebrities and fashion designers and I truly enjoyed every single bit of it! Therefore I would like to thank all of you who follow my adventures – without you, my dear subscribers and avid readers, this wouldn’t have been possible.
Parallel to the launch of my blog in 2009, SI Style Magazine featured me on six pages which was the perfect kick off for Sandra’s Closet!
To many more years and posts to come!

Who said track suits cannot look glamorous? Yes, I know, it was Karl Lagerfeld who stated: «Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life, so you bought some sweatpants.» That is the only one of his statements, I definitely disagree with him. What would I be without my comfy clothes? Between all those days of running around in 5 inch heels, I need to feel the most at ease at possible. This outfit would also be something I would wear on a long distance flight. Comfy without looking tacky, what else would you want?!
My look: Double breasted jacket by Saint Laurent, denim-effect cotton-blend jersey sweatshirt, matching track pants and Susanna studded leather ankle boots
, all by Chloé, Guinnearae printed wool-gauze scarf
, Bamboo Shopper large textured-leather tote
and acetate aviator sunglasses with marina chain, all by Gucci, earrings by Dior, diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.

Zurich has a new hot spot. Last week, HATO opened its doors at Brandschenkestrasse 20 (reservations +41 44 280 1880, zurich @hato-restaurants.com). The restaurant’s chef Nathan Dallimore brings the bold flavors of «Fine Asian Cuisine» and fresh sushi to every dining experience. Before today’s official start, I had the honor to try all the culinary highlights during an intimate lunch. The food is absolutely excellent, my favorite is the vegan «Soya Duck Salad» (see photo below). The interior is stylish and intimate at once, curtains can separate certain areas. There is also a special LALIQUE room for private occasions. On Thursday, the VIP opening party took place… enjoy the pics.
My look: Wool twill jacket, cutout leather platform pumps and small California leather bucket bag with stars
, all by Saint Laurent, scalloped bandage dress by Hervé Léger, Satin Touch 20 denier stay-up stockings by Wolford, tulle and pearl necklace by Lanvin and diamond ring by Vainard Fine Jewellery.
LoL, Sandra

The vegan «Soya Duck Salad», it’s fake duck, so yummy.

An extremely interesting combination that I loved: scallop, pork and artichoke puree.

Fantastic Har Gau Dim Sum.

Oversized sweaters worn as dresses add a certain coolness to your look. I couldn’t resist Christopher Kane’s “Lovers’ lace” – entwining bodies in coral and cream lace, that are inspired by life drawing lessons. Worn on the F/W 2015 runway, this oversized style is woven from a luxurious blend of wool and cashmere guaranteed to keep me warm when the weather cools here in Zurich.
My look: Hooded camel-wool wrap coat with belt by Chloé, lace-paneled wool and cashmere-blend sweater dress by Christopher Kane, fringed checked cashmere scarf by Burberry Prorsum, leopard-print Boston tote by Céline
, Rockstud leather-trimmed knee boots by Valentino
and Linda round-frame acetate sunglasses by Tom Ford.

This week, I flew to Munich and spent an amazing time in my old hometown. It was Indian summer in the city – a phenomenon of sunny and clear weather conditions that I experienced a lot when living in Chicago. There was no coat needed and I just enjoyed the colors of fall here at Lenbachplatz.
My look: Tulip-jacquard mini dress by Alexander McQueen, Rockstud leather-trimmed knee boots by Valentino
, 2Jours medium calf hair, mink and leather shopper
and textured-leather and fox monster bag charm, both by Fendi, necklace by Chanel and Limelight Gala watch by Piaget.

Inspired by eighties opulence, this leopard print knit cocktail frock from Balmain makes a bold statement during the day or at night. Here you see me in New York City last week on my way to interview Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director Balmain, on his collaboration with H&M that will hit the stores on the 5th of November (The interview will be posted shortly.).

A huge thank you to Caroline for taking the photos, to René for the behind the scenes shots and to Martina for seeing the best light and for saving me from being run over by a car.
