They say black never goes out of style, but this F/W 2025 season, brown is redefining elegance. In Boston, I embraced a head-to-toe brown look that feels effortlessly chic, warm, and sophisticated. To break the monotony and add a playful twist, I styled it with a vibrant Christian Louboutin bag, the perfect pop of color that turns the entire outfit into a true statement. Sometimes, it only takes one bold accessory to elevate a monochrome look from classic to unforgettable.
My look: Cable-knit wool and cashmere puffer jacket, and cotton midi dress, both by Polo Ralph Lauren, Torchon gold-tone crystal clip earrings
by Alessandra Rich, Frankie 85 snake-effect leather ankle boots
by Jimmy Choo, and Breizcaba embellished embroidered felt and leather-trimmed canvas tote
by Christian Louboutin.
LoL, Sandra

For 2025, the Pantone Color Institute selects PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, a warming, brown hue imbued with richness. It nurtures us with its suggestion of the delectable qualities of chocolate and coffee, two of my favorites, that are answering the desire for comfort.

«We look to a mellow brown hue whose inherent richness and sensorial and comforting warmth extends further into our desire for comfort, and the indulgence of simple pleasures that we can gift and share with others.»

Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute
Mocha Mousse on the S/S 2025 runways.
With its sophisticated, earthy elegance, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse can stand alone or serve as a versatile foundation, enhancing a wide range of palettes and applications – from minimalist to richly detailed designs – across all colour-focused industries. It is a very versatile shade infused with inherent sophistication that stands for quiet luxury.

This was my look last week for a lunch meeting in Zurich. I love the colour combination of pink, brown and light grey – always preppy.
You might remember the dress because I wore it to the Gucci S/S 2012 show last September in Milan. For the previous, more colourful look, please click here. Good news is that this pink dress is on sale 50% off now and with its vibrant colour a great investment piece for the next season.

My look: Two-tone silk crepe de chine dress, alpaca and wool gilet, grey python bag, brown leather boots, all by Gucci, pink bleached denim scarf by Louis Vuitton, ring Diorette by Dior Haute Joaillerie and Lady Excalibur watch by Roger Dubuis.
On my lips: Rouge Allure Velvet 37 L’Exubérante by Chanel, a wonderful matte pink tone.
LoL, Sandra

I love this bleached denim scarf from Louis Vuitton’s S/S 2010 collection.
