Last week’s gala episode of MY STYLE ROCKS was all about the 90s. A decade that I lived and that was all about bold style, laid-back vibes, and iconic trends that still influence fashion today! From grunge flannels, fuzzy hats and ripped jeans to hip-hop baggy fits and sleek minimalist slip dresses, the decade was a perfect mix of cool and carefree. Think platform shoes, Doc Martens, chokers, crop tops, checked mini skirts and tracksuits—whether inspired by Clueless, Friends, or your favorite boy band, 90s fashion was effortlessly fun and full of personality!
As you know, I have been collecting fashion for more than 30 years. For this episode I dived into my closet and looked for pieces that I actually wore in the 90s. I had designed the bag along with the matching T-shirts during my time at Sonia Rykiel in Paris. Originally created for the people backstage at the S/S 1999 show, Sonia decided to produce them for the actual collection as she liked them a lot.
My look: Appliquéd printed cotton-jersey sweatshirt by Dolce & Gabbana, neon pink cropped top (S/S 1995), and black hot pants (S/S 2022), both by CHANEL, checked mini skirt (S/S 1998) by D&G, printed wool bag (S/S 1999) by Sonia Rykiel, triangle-logo scrunchie, crystal scrunchie, and fuzzy hat in lilac, all by Prada, leather, faux pearl and crystal choker
by Alessandra Rich, 90’s vintage sunglasses by Gucci, creoles by Dior, black tights with crystals by Calzedonia, and Strike leather ankle boots by Balenciaga.

«Fashion is a weapon that you can use when you need it.» – Donatella Versace
Society’s ever-adapting fashion trends provide an opportunity for us to communicate our own message through our sense of style. Fashion is so much more than bags and brand names — it is a bridge between our inner and outer worlds, a medium for artistic expression, a call to creativity and self-exploration. Fashion is a weapon, use it wisely, as it can be one of the most powerful tools you have. It can be your magic confidence booster, and a tool to manipulate others how they conceive you. Be your own warrior!

Welcome to the Mauritian Côte d’Azur and don’t let its name fool you, Cap Malheureux («Unlucky Cap») is a true paradise! Although its name sounds like a curse, this small fishing village located between Grand Baie and Anse la Raie, has a peaceful, pleasant coastline and is far from mass tourism. A must-see is the Notre-Dame Auxiliatrice Church also known as the Red Roof Church.
My look: Halliday lace-trimmed floral-print linen maxi dress
by Zimmermann, Palm cutout embossed textured-leather bucket bag
by Staud, Rockstud Torchon 105 leather espadrille wedge sandals

Knowing – Knowledge is everything. Knowledge sets you free. Knowledge is sexy. Knowledge is power. And so is the perfect scent. Just as knowledge can be enticing and powerful, so too can a fragrance leave a memorable impression. It speaks to how certain qualities – whether intellectual or sensory – have the ability to command attention, evoke emotion, and convey a sense of confidence or charisma. I have fallen in love with Knowing Legacy from the first spritz. Created by Frédéric Malle for the self-assured woman who knows who she is and what she wants, it is a sophisticated, luxurious and confident scent.
«Knowing Legacy is all about skin, fire and a long night.» – Frédéric Malle

Knowing Legacy expands the original rich and luxurious essence of smouldering amber and sandalwood, while notes of black currant and lavish orris push the sensual fragrance even further. It is seductive, full of feminine energy, for the «Eve» within you!
My look: Eve belted crystal-embellished crepe jumpsuit
, and matching Eve embellished velvet tote
, both by Clio Peppiatt, Angel leather platform sandals by Gucci, and crystal-embellished snake necklace by Alessandra Rich.
My scent: KNOWING LEGACY by Estée Lauder

As promised, here is my outfit that I wore to the radiant dinner with Clé de Peau Beauté in Cannes. We went on a sunset cruise and had a beautiful evening in the gardens of Château de la Napoule. The dress code said «black tie» and as we were unlocking a new radiance, I thought putting on a lot of sparkles is the perfect match!
My look: Sequin tuxedo blazer with feathers, and purple sequin halter gown, both by Michael Kors Collection, crystal-embellished Tan-Go pumps and small VSLING crystal-embellished crossbody bag, both by Valentino, sunglasses by CHANEL, and crystal-embellished snake necklace by Alessandra Rich.

Matching the temple in Mauritius … while driving around the Grand Baie area in the North, I passed the Tamil Surya Oudaya Sangam Temple, that is one of the oldest Tamil temples on the island. The temple is a riot of colours that can be visible even from a considerable distance. I had to stop and take pictures as my new pareo pants couldn’t gave been a better match.
Later, I enjoyed my time at the Constance Prince Maurice and indulged in their signature rum cocktail «Maurice de Nassau» at the hotel bar next to the white sand beach and tropical surroundings. The drink has an interesting combination of aged rum, coconut liquor, curry leaf, passion fruit puree, roasted pineapple juice and dried chili.
My look: Mila ruffled bikini
by Maygel Coronel, red and white striped pareo pants
by Loretta Caponi, wedge espadrilles
by Castañer, wallet on chain by CHANEL, oval-frame gold-tone and tortoiseshell acetate sunglasses
by Celine, and silver-tone, crystal and faux pearl necklace by Alessandra Rich.

So much traveling behind and ahead of me and I am loving it. Here you see me two weeks ago on my way to a fantastic night at Annabel’s in London enjoying the live performance of famous DJ Black Coffee. After that I left to Saint Tropez (definitely with this clutch in my suitcase) for some fun time with friends, followed by my school reunion in Frankfurt. Yesterday, I was back in Zurich, today I am in Wimbledon and then tonight off to Johannesburg. No matter where I am and what I am doing, my motto is shine and sparkle and enjoy life to the fullest.
My look: Sequinned flared tulle jumpsuit by Halpern, St. Tropez beaded leather clutch
by Aquazzura, Angel leather platform sandals by Gucci, silver-tone crystal clip earrings by Alessandra Rich, sunglasses by Celine, and laser-cut leather corset belt
