My Look: There Is Something About Mary

Mary Katrantzozu Dinner in London-Sandra Bauknecht - Outfit

Here is the outfit that I wore to the wonderful dinner hosted by Net-à-Porter iconon Wednesday in London to celebrate Mary Katrantzou. To honor her and as I am a huge fan of her work, I wore one of her uber-fabulous designs from her S/S 2014 collection.

My look: Cropped printed satin-gabardine top and structured printed satin-gabardine skirt, both by Mary Katrantzou (great news, both pieces are now on sale), suede platform sandals and embellished python bag, both by PradaApophis cuff by Saint Laurent.

LoL, Sandra

Spotted on the streets of Zurich: Isabelle, bringing the print pants trend to perfection. Colourful, stylish with a vibrant mix of patterns.

Isabelle’s look: Blue sweater and silk print pants, both by DKNY, dark blue classic single breasted blazer iconby By Malene BirgerRollergirl tartan canvas loafers iconby Christian Louboutin, lace socks by Fogal, bangles by Hermès and watch “Rolex Explorer II” by Rolex (officially known as “McQueen Rolex”). She bought the amazing neon-green wayfarer sunglasses at a beach shop in Cannes and the green python bag is a souvenir from her last trip to Asia.

You might assume that this stylish woman works in fashion but think again. Isabelle is a professor working in the division of thoracic surgery. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Dinner at J.K. Place in Florence

Dinner at J.K.place

Finally, I went through over 800 photos that I took during my trip with Gucci in Italy last week. During the next days, I will share all those amazing experiences with you. So please stay tuned for my visit to the manufacture in Casellina and much more.

After the Gucci F/W 2012 show in Milan, we went straight to Florence. Those of you, who have been following me for  some time now, know, that my favourite hotel in Florence is the J.K.Place. So you might imagine how happy I was to be back so soon for the Gucci experience.

We had a lovely dinner at the hotel, very “La Dolce Gucci” and went all to bed quite early as the next day promised to be full of adventure.

Dinner

This was my look, needless to say, head to toe Gucci: Emerald-coloured velvet jacket, velvet pants, silk shirt with ruffles, fur stole, gold horsebit necklace, python pumps and Gucci’s “cult” 1973 bag ( see detailed photos below).

The next day, when I saw with my own eyes at the manufacture how such a luxurious piece is made, what makes a Gucci bag a Gucci bag”, I was very impressed.

My Outfit at the Gucci F/W 2012 Show

Red Blue Turquoise

The last days that I spent with the Gucci crowd were amazing. I have so much to show you and I am still far behind with my New York adventures

This was my outfit that I wore to the Gucci F/W 2012 show. It was quite difficult to pick something as we had to go straight after to the train station leaving for Florence. I am completely in love with the colour combination of emerald, blue and red. Isn’t it so chic?!

Midnight blue long military-style coat, red belted dress, emerald fur stole and shoes, all by Gucci, ring Diorette by Dior Haute Joiallerie and blue Boston python bag by Céline.

Style Diary: Always Preppy

Style Diary Always Prepps

This was my look last week for a lunch meeting in Zurich. I love the colour combination of pink, brown and light greyalways preppy.

You might remember the dress because I wore it to the Gucci S/S 2012 show last September in Milan. For the previous, more colourful look, please click here. Good news is that this pink dress is on sale 50% off now and with its vibrant colour a great investment piece for the next season.

And here you see my twin: Giovanni Battaglia in the same dress. Fashion faux-pas? No, not if it is worn by the famous Italian stylist.

By the way, Anna dello Russo was also dressed head to toe in Gucci F/W 2011.
