Rome is not just the Eternal City. For some of us, it is a place where life folds in on itself, past and present, joy and loss, beauty and farewell. This Valentino look was photographed here, in a city that meant more to Valentino Garavani than mythology or monument. Rome was never a backdrop for him; it was a language he spoke fluently, of restraint, confidence, and quiet power.
Yesterday, as the world said goodbye, this image took on another meaning for me. Rome was also the destination of my last journey with my father. A place where time slowed, where moments became memories without announcing themselves as such. Perhaps that is what true elegance does. It holds space, for love, for legacy, for absence. Valentino understood that. And Rome, as always, remembers.

On the second day of the Creative Women Forum in Riyadh, I wore one of my favorite looks from this trip, a beautifully balanced outfit that blends Western sophistication with Middle Eastern elegance. The centerpiece was a graceful head scarf, styled in a way that felt both culturally respectful and effortlessly chic.
There was something powerful about walking through Riyadh dressed in a look that carried elements of two worlds I love. The tailored lines and modern silhouette spoke to my Western side, while the textures, colors, and the way the scarf framed my face echoed the timeless beauty of Middle Eastern style.
This outfit wasn’t just fashion, it was a reflection of connection. A way of honoring the culture around me while staying true to my own aesthetic. And in that moment, surrounded by inspiring women from across the globe, it felt like the perfect expression of who I was that day: confident, curious, and beautifully in between.

I am obsessed with Pierpaolo Piccioli‘s take on the iconic Valentino Rockstuds for S/S 2021. He is making them bigger and better than ever, as the Rockstud take on gargantuan proportions. So-called Roman studs, Roman architecture inspired this iconic motif able to manifest the Maison’s bourgeois and punk essences. Here I combined my new bag with a beautiful cape dress and long gloves. Today some creative vibes from my side. The toughest part of my outfit posts is getting the photos done. My daughter used to do them for me, but since she moved to Boston, I lost my photographer. Being dependent on others is something I hate. Therefore I decided I will start taking them myself, and here is my first try. It is quite time-consuming, putting on the timer, running into position and hoping for the best. However, I think you still get a good impression of today’s look. Light blue and nude blend in perfectly with the landscaping in Gstaad and Valentino’s new Roman Studs are just beautiful. Wouldn’t you agree?
