Suncare Innovations 2020

Spend the last sunny days well protected. I have tried many different products over this summer and those ones here have become my personal favorites and I will explain you why.

LA ROCHE POSAY’s ANTHELIOS is a pioneering player in the suncare market, recommended by Swiss dermatologists more than any other brand. Its broad-spectrum, very high protection is the result of more than 25 years of advanced clinical research into suncare and sun sensitive skin.
Here comes the newest innovation:

ANTHELIOS INVISIBLE SPRAY SPF50+ FOR SENSITIVE AND REACTIVE SKIN
A very high broad-spectrum protection preventing damage caused by UVA, UVB Infrared-A and pollution. Ultra-resistant to water, sweat and sand. Anti-eye stinging. Light-weight, non-sticky texture, leaving no white marks. Its formula is also respectful to marine life.

CHF 35.00 (200ml)

ANTHELIOS INVISIBLE FLUID SPF50+ FOR SENSITIVE AND REACTIVE SKIN
This non-perfumed fluid is the highest UVA protection in Anthelios history, providing a broad-spectrum protection preventing damage caused by UVA and UVB and Infrared-A and pollution. Ultra-resistant to water, sweat and sand. Anti-eye stinging. Light-weight, non-sticky texture, leaving no white marks. Its formula is also respectful to marine life.

CHF 28.00 (50ml) – now also available with SPF 30

VICHY’s CAPITAL SOLEIL sun care provides expert sun protection. There are two new innovations that I love. Offering very high broad spectrum, both suncare sprays SPF50 for face and body have a radical lightweight solar water formula that hydrates and protects while feeling comfortable on the skin. One provides extra hydration while the other one helps you to enhance your tan. I personally hate applying sun care products but those ones are easy, lightweight and fun while being respectful to marine life.

This new anti-blemish, mattifying sun lotion with SPF 50 protection protects, absorbs and controls shine with green clay and bifidus extract. Perfect for someone with oily skin.

Sandra_Bauknecht_Lisa_Felmann_Annabelle_Prix_de_beaute

Last Wednesday, the 16th annabelle Prix de Beauté ceremony was held at the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich and I felt very honored to be in the jury like last year. Above you can see annabelle’s editor-in-chief Lisa Feldmann with me at the event.

For those of you who are not familiar with this trophy, the “Anna” is like the “Swiss Beauty Oscar”. Many products in different categories are tested among the jury members and the winner is analyzed with the help of an elaborate questionary.

The Perfect Sun Protection Trio

SunCreamDoha

During my stay in Doha, I needed high sun protection for my winter pale skin to prevent damage from UV radiation. As temperatures are so perfect in December/January, you can spend hours in the sun. With the help of this trio, I have enjoyed it in complete safety.

FACE: Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Fluide Extreme by La Roche-Posay
This tinted water-resistant fluid is perfect for sensitive skin providing you with a little bit of bronzy glow you are missing after those winter months.
CHF 27.90 (50ml)

BODY: Aroma Sun Expert for Body SPF 50 by Decléor
A protective hydrating milk that protects the skin while moisturizing (Melon Extract, Argan Oil) it at the same time. Thanks to the DNA Protection Complex (Vanilla and Jasmine Extracts), it helps cells to prevent premature aging. It boosts skin’s natural defences (Essential Oil of Rose) and reduces reactions caused by sun exposure (Rea from Tahiti). Personally speaking, I have never used such an easy-to-apply milk with a non-greasy texture but such a high SPF.
CHF 47.- (150ml)

AFTER: Capital Soleil After Sun Cellular SOS Repair Balm by Vichy
A rich but non-sticky texture that works well for the whole family by calming down the skin after sun exposure. This specially designed formula works to repair damage by restoring the skin’s cellular defense capital. Willowherb Extract even soothes over-exposed, painful and red skin so that a sunburn can transform into a beautiful bronzed tan.
CHF 26.- (100ml)

Vichy Idéalia – Ideal Skin at an Ideal Price

Vichy Idealia

Let me introduce you to Idéalia by Vichy, a new moisturizing range, claiming to create an ideal skin.

Vichy’s new launch is based on a global study about women’s expectations regarding the ideal skin. The answers were versatile depending on the continent – among them the longing for a perfect skin quality, a refined skin texture, homogeneous complexion, no dark spots plus smoothed wrinkles and fine lines.

Vichy’s answer to all those wishes is Idéalia. It is built around a star ingredient, the Kombucha extract and works for all skin types and ages.

Available at pharmacies for the amazing price of CHF 39.- for 50ml.
