Meet the New CHANEL 19 Bag

First seen on the runway of the F/W 2019 ready-to-wear collection created by Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard, CHANEL presents a new bag: the CHANEL 19. An important number for the House, an echo of famous creations, but also a birth year.

CHANEL 19 for 2019, a baptismal name that pays tribute to its elder, the 2.55 bag, created in February 1955 by Mademoiselle Chanel.

The CHANEL 19 bag bears the essence of the House and all of its codes. Available in three sizes, this rectangular flap bag is swathed with large diamond quilting on leather or on tweed. A metal chain interlaced with leather comes in a trio of finishes, its links passing successively from silver to aged gold to ruthenium. A signature of the CHANEL bags, it also features another code of recognition: the double C fastener, in an XL format on all the designs.

With an ultra-supple structure, the CHANEL 19 adopts a resolutely modern attitude: the length of its chain means it can be worn in two ways, straight or cross body. There’s also a large curb chain in gold metal to be held in the hand. A belt bag version allows the CHANEL 19 to be worn around the waist. A practicality in the pure spirit of CHANEL: natural, elegant and functional, appropriated according to one’s movements.

For its first season, the CHANEL 19 takes on the dominant colours of the F/W 2019 ready-to-wear: added to the leather in its timeless colours of black, beige and white are turquoise blue, green, deep red and dark pink, while the tweed comes in eight variations to match the silhouettes of the collection.

The CHANEL 19 bag weaves a veritable link between the past, the present and the future. Immediately identifiable but without ostentation, rich in detail with masculine/feminine accents, multiple ways of being worn, it is instantly seductive thanks to an allure that is both sophisticated and relaxed. The obvious way to carry it, combined with its elegant, practical and comfortable line make it a day-to-day companion. An ally to be taken everywhere, one that liberates movement, tout simplement.

Below you can enjoy a preview of the CHANEL 19 bags for Cruise 2020… so many beautiful options!

Miu Miu Introduces the My Miu Bag

First seen in March on the Miu Miu runway in Paris, the My Miu bag marks the first occasion in which the name of the brand features prominently both patched in psychedelic lettering and in the form of a large polished gold or palladium lock.

Star accessory of the new season, with its glittering fringes and jeweled buckles, the My Miu combines a respect for handcraftsmanship and the finest fabrications with a sense of femininity, irreverence and fun.

The My Miu show model is the most elaborate, presented in five different and highly distinctive combinations of precious materials: madras leather patched with python; python or ayers embellished with jewelled fringing; python or ayers finished with a jewelled buckle; matelassé leather with a python belt and jewelled buckle and fluffy fur with an ayers belt and jewelled buckle.

Colours range from classic – natural snake, black – to pop bright and pastel and, often, a juxtaposition of the three. All bags feature a removable and adjustable python or ayers strap allowing them to be carried cross body, on the shoulder or as a clutch.

The My Miu is also available in a slightly smaller size and fabricated to suit every occasion. Classic madras and ayers, matelassé and ayers and velvet and ayers bags come with a metal chain strap. The denim interpretation features a sporty nylon strap.

Completing the range, the mini My Miu is the simplest and most accessible version of the style. Light, easy and effortlessly elegant, it is crafted in signature matelassé leather and textile in a wide range of colours with a metal chain strap.

Dear Santa, I have been a very good girl, so please bring me the BERLINE MINI BAG by Hermès, it is totally my object of desire! And probably yours now, too!

Introduced for F/W 2012, the original Berline Bag is available in the size 28 (28x21x9 cm). While it takes on a new colour for S/S 2013, vermillon red, its features, inspired from the Kelly bag and the automobile universe, pay tribute to the house’s unique saddler-stuffer know-how.

BERLINE MINI BAG by Hermès

For the S/S 2013 season, it will be available for the first time as a miniature version in the size 21 (21x17x6 cm). This little sister of the Berline bag showcases Hermès’ saddler-padding know-how with its cushioned leather sections. Although its strap is thinner and longer for relaxed crossbody wear, its clasp and snap hooks take a strong stand in retaining their original size. Available in six colours, with matching strap.

If you can’t decide which one is your prefered one, you might consider getting two. If you do, I have a great idea for you. Switch the straps to get a version that no one has. Here is what I did with my new bags:

...swapping.

...swapping.

Like this, you create a unique piece which will be hard to copy and you don’t need to buy anything new to do that. Look into your closet and start swapping! You will have a new bag in seconds!

The Blue & The Grey

Blue_Grey

I love the colour combination of ink blue and teal with grey. Those shades just belong together. The outfit above proves my theory perfectly:
The gorgeous grey dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim (€305.-) and ink-blue belted long-length blazer by Elizabeth & James (€430.-) look stunning combined with teal accessories like the velvet ankle boots by Maison Martin Margiela (£455.-) and the cross-body bag by See by Chloé (€305.-).
For daily glamour add a statement necklace like the crystal-embellished one by 3.1. Phillip Lim (€590.-) and a cool leather bracelet by Chan Luu (€175.-).

Indigo eyeshadow by Givenchy (one of my favourites) and the OPI “Ski teal we drop” nail polish will top off your outfit amazingly!

Feeling blue can be fun!
