My Look: Sweet Love

Sandra_Bauknecht_Tibi_Dress_SS2013

I have a sweet love for this Olivia embellished leather waist belt by Moschino.
It started in Rome a long time ago … and has obviously never ended. It had just been hidden in my closet for a while

My look: Black jacket by Gucci, pink neoprene dress iconby Tibi (also available in white), logo belt by Moschinoiconneon necklace, faux python leather bag and matching shoes, all three by Stella McCartney. Twenties stay-up thigh-highs by Wolford.

My Look: Il Tavolo Food Festival Photo Shoot

My_look_Sandra_Bauknecht_il_Tavolo

Recently, I participated in the campaign shoot for the Il Tavolo Food Festival in Zurich which will take place in collaboration with the Park Hyatt from June 27 – 30, 2013.

As I was completely free in choosing my outfit, I went for some food inspiration: Lobster print and pasta earrings. Ellin Anderegg, the photographer, liked my bag so much that it immediately became part of the advertising photo. Next to me is Lucy Tallo, owner of PR/Ticular.

My look: Lobster silhouette shift dress (If you like the crustacean theme, have a look at this Lobster intarsia-knit sweater or the Lobster-print cotton-jersey sweatshirticonand Maverick suiting blazer, all by Tibicutout patent-leather ankle boots by LanvinMiss Sicily wool tapestry and leather tote and pasta earrings, both by Dolce & Gabbana.

Tibi Or Not Tibi – That Is the Question!

Tibi_PREFALL-2013

Tibi or not Tibi, nobody will be posing this question after they have seen Amy Smilovic’s (see photo above with me) unpretentiously cool designs for Pre-fall 2013. Paying homage to the city that never sleeps with a lineup of silhouettes emblazoned with the Empire State Building and Lady Liberty, Smilovic has an impressive knack for defining exactly what women want to wear. Dress code: Urbane chic. True to theme, we’ll be tossing and turning until this collection of New York City-centric separates arrives safely in our closets. Bright lights, big city, forever Tibi.

If you cannot wait, shop Tibi’s amazing S/S 2013 collection at matchesfashion.com iconand net-à-porter.com. I am such a Tibi fan and you will be seeing me in lots of Amy’s designs soon.

Trend Alert F/W 2012: Holiday Sweaters

HolidaySweater2012

In celebration of the holiday season, I recommend buying some festive knits. Combine a stylish holiday sweater with a sexy pencil skirt and some high heels to take the look to new heights.

Rossella Jardini, Moschino Creative Director, gives the following style advice: “When designing our sweater, I played with the classic Christmas elements and added a Moschino touch! I would suggest wearing them with a simple pair of skinny jeans.”

Meadham Kirchhoff about their inspiration: “Christmas is the best time of the year, the decorations, the tree, the food….. We love everything about it. The inspiration for the embroidery came from original 1960’s gift paper I wrapped Edward’s presents in last Christmas.”

I adore those sweaters and couldn’t resist the one by Stella McCartney. Which one is your favourite?

My Look: Maui Sunset Dinner

Dinner Maui

During my stay in Maui, I watched many beautiful sunsets. The light is so amazing – colouring the sky in shades of yellow, orange, blue and purple. I captured some of those moments for you with my camera.

One of my favourite places on the island to have dinner and watch the sundown is the Italian restaurant Sarento’s On the Beach in Kihei, Maui. Great food, great service and great location.

My look: White ruffled dress by Tibi, coral shape heels by Chanel, glitter sunglasses by Miu Miu and necklace Pearl Drape with horse clasp by Gabriele Frantzen.
On my nails: Believe created with Cher by Deborah Lippmann
(a shimmering metallic gold beige).
Curls all natural!

Bloglovin’ Awards 2012 in NYC

IMG_9512

Tonight, I went after the Tommy Hilfiger F/W 2012 show straight to the Bloglovin’ Awards (I promise you that there will be soon a Bloglovin’ button to the left to follow me there).

The event took place at the famous Edison Ballroom right off Broadway. I spotted many familiar faces and had a truly good time.

Derek Blasberg presented the awards and needless to say was very sarcastic and humorous.

Shoe Special S/S 2010: Summer Boots

S 20120

I love Boots therefore I wanted to show you all these stunning pieces for summer. For the hot season there is no need to be practical so it is all about design and probably providing a little air (who likes sweaty feet?!). Cutout details, open toe booties (keep your winter ones), strapped sandal ones- there are so many beautiful details to talk about. It is the shock of contrast that gives it that little special twist I so adore.

I am crazy for the stretch boots with knee pads by Pierre Hardy that I would combine with a beautiful white one-shouldered dress like the one by Tibi. Put some bangles on, a little Grecian style hairpiece and you will truly look like a goddess!
