Prada Linea Rossa F/W 2022 Campaign

Prada Linea Rossa is celebrating such a big revival. First released in 1995 as «Prada Sport» and closed in the mid-’00s, the luxury athleisure line has a rich and storied history, one that demonstrates the brand’s seemingly endless relevancy. Relaunched in F/W 2018, Prada’s sporty line has been an ongoing success.

Motion, transformation, perpetual change – forever shifting, along a line drawn between two points. The Prada Linea Rossa Fall/Winter 2022 campaign reflects a fundamental ethos of dynamic locomotion, ceaseless movement between different poles. And through that motion, clothing transforms, adapting itself to divergent terrain, disparate needs and demands. Constantly changing, ever evolving.

The campaign captures this endless mood of wanderlust, in a series of photographs and motion image created by Norbert Schoerner. Within each, two realities create an impossible hybrid, capturing Linea Rossa as it morphs between extremes, between mountain terrain and urban ecosystems. The protagonists sprint between these environs, captured in movement, their speed blurring the world until two polar realities fuse seamlessly into one.

The imagery reflects the identity of the Linea Rossa collection, the interlacing of different universes, racing between one reality and another. Pieces draw on winter sports – the streamlining and padded protection of skiwear, translated to metropolitan clothes recalibrated for city living. Fabrics are designed to adapt to differing locales, to new demands – mixes of nylon, techno-knit and Prada Extreme-Tex form chassis around the body, achieving delicate balance between disparate elements, fluctuating temperatures, and the demands of the everyday. In striking monochrome enlivened with the iconic Linea Rossa emblem, these pieces are also fusions, of Prada’s minimalized style with high- performance sportswear, timelessly engineered for bodies in dynamic movement. .

My Look: Colmar Christmas Market

Sandra_Bauknecht_Colmar_Christmas_Market_Cover

This Sunday, I drove to Colmar in Alsace, France that is well known for its famous Christmas market. I can absolutely recommend this weekend excursion. From Zurich, it took me around one and a half hour to get there by car. Once you have arrived, you will enter the magic of Christmas at its best. First of all there’s the ambiance of the Old Town, illuminated and decorated like a fairy tale.

Colmar town centre is essentially pedestrian, comprises numerous architectural treasures such as monuments, churches, museums and alleys, full of imposing buildings dating from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Enjoy some of yesterday’s impressions below.

My look: Belted shearling coat and studded wool-silk shawl, both by GucciTiger embroidered cotton-jersey sweatshirt by Kenzo, Le Garcon mid-rise slim boyfriend jeansicon by Frame Denim, suede boots by Prada Sport, boy bag with chains by Chanel, rose diamond ring by Piaget, Pasha C watch by Cartier and Carlina round-frame gold-tone sunglasses by Chloé.

My Look: Empowered By

Empowered by _Sandra Bauknecht

Two weeks ago, the lovely Net-à-porter team contacted me and asked if I would like to join their #EmpoweredBy campaign that they are running this month. As you know, Net-à-portericon is my favorite online shopping destination and of course I felt very honored to be part of it. It is all about celebrating women all around the world who empower us!

Great news is that you can join the #EmpoweredBy campaign that I shot in Klosters last week as well. Here are the instructions:

1. W for Women
Raise your arms above your head to create a natural W shape with your body. Just like I did.
2. Tell the world
Post your W on Instagram and say who you are #empoweredby.
3. Pass it on
Add friends to your post, asking them to do their own W and share who they are #empoweredby.

My Look: Berlin East Side Gallery

Berlin Wall -Sandra Bauknecht -July 2014

Today’s photos were taken at the East Side Gallery in Berlin, Germany. The probably largest and longest-lasting open air gallery in the world is actually an international memorial for freedom. With 1.3 km, it is the longest remaining part of the Berlin Wall, located near the city centre on Muehlenstraße in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, next to the river Spree.

The East Side Gallery consists of 105 paintings by artists from all over the world, painted in 1990 on the east side of the Berlin Wall.

Sandra Bauknecht at Berlin Wall 3

Inspired by yesterday’s post about Rihanna who’s sporting the military trend for our September 2014 cover of L’OFFICIEL Schweiz/Suisse, here is a gun salute to the revival of military chic fashion this fall. Therefore I went through my closet to look for my S/S 2010 Balmain pieces – the season when it had been up-to-date the last time.

My look: Military shirt and khaki tank top, both by Balmain (from the S/S 2010 collection, for the new F/W 2014 pieces, please click HERE), pants by Alexander McQueen (similar ones HERE), sneakers by Prada Sport, Hapi leather bracelet by Hermès, Limelight Gala watch and rose diamond ring by Piaget, sunglasses by Valentino and Boy Bag with chains by Chanel.

Dior On Ice

Dior_on_ice_cover

The Dior event in Paris last week was truly amazing. The Dior team spoilt me constantly during my stay with wonderful birthday surprises. How creative they are was clear when we went for dinner Thursday night. Held at the ice rink of the Plaza Athénée which is located at the inner courtyard of the famous Parisian hotel, we were welcomed by a Swiss chalet atmosphere and a cute Saint Bernard dog.

Dior-On-Ice-Raclette

Raclette prepared by three Michelin star chef Alain Ducasse was a big surprise. Who would have expected having a Swiss traditional dish in Paris?! Very funny, the two Swiss ladies, Manuela and my humble self, were shoveling the yummy cheese in our mouth, whereas most of the other bloggers were a little overwhelmed by the heavy food.

Prada Sets Sail With Luna Rossa Fragrance

Prada Luna Rossa Ad Campaign

LUNA ROSSA, Prada’s newest men’s fragrance, seeks inspiration from the Italian house’s sailboat of the eponymous name which regularly participates in the prestigious America’s Cup (For more information on the famous competition, scroll to the end of this post please).

The scent and ingredients blended by Daniela Andrier, Prada Luna Rossa is a masculine fragrance without compromise that reinterprets traditional ingredients with agility.

Prada Luna Rossa Scent

A wave of aromatic freshness crashes through the scent conveying strength and dynamic energy, while its signature is noble and sensual. The backbone of the fragrance is lavenderan unmistakable natural ingredient in perfumery – but here pushed to the edge in a unique modern interpretation. The Luna Rossa Story

The America’s Cup is the most coveted and elusive prize in sport and the apex of the sailing world. It is an intense competition propelled by an almost mythological history, the obsession and dedication of its participants and thrilling advances in design and engineering. It is a race fought along lines of technology and athleticism, but fundamentally bound by the forces of nature; enjoyed the world over both for the visceral excitement of the competition and the grace of the boats as they cut through the waves.

The Luna Rossa sailing team emerged from the shared determination and grand ambition of two men. Patrizio Bertelli, CEO of Prada and German Frers, one of the world’s foremost yacht designers, met in 1997 to discuss a cruising boat and the designer made a provocative jibe – “why not the America’s Cup?”. There was no turning back. In order to meet strict entry deadlines Bertelli organized a crew from scratch in a record time of just two weeks – a process usually taking many months. Since then, the Luna Rossa team is one of the most renowned and beloved competitors of the America’s Cup – the oldest and most prestigious trophy in sport.
