PIAGET High Jewelry Cuff Watches

Presented at Watches & Wonders, these three strikingly contemporary PIAGET watches re-interpret the cuff watches of the 1960s-70s that became a hallmark of the Maison’s audacity and pioneering fashion-focused creativity. The organic design, innovative and unexpected, references the free-form, hyper-naturalism of 1960s and ‘70s jewelry, with the signature oval dial half-hidden by the gold work of the bracelet that appears to grow over the case and ornamental dial, emphasizing the naturalistic theme.

Each cuff is hand-engraved with different patterns and textures, highlighting Piaget’s expertise in the art of engraving and dedication to Métiers d’Or. The different styles of engraving demonstrate the combination of dexterity and artistic sensibility mastered by each individual artisan.

The gold is incised, by hand, one line at a time, using the sharp tip of a burin, the lines varying in depth, width and direction to obtain the desired effect. Gold shavings are gently blown away from the surface by the goldsmith after each gesture. No two patterns of engraved gold are the same.

The golden bracelet is streaked with diamonds emphasizing the linear fluidity of the engraving, and inset with a diamond-framed case and dial of white opal, its scintillating rainbow colors as if moving with the ebb and flow of the goldwork.

The rugged, bark-like texture of the second cuff contrasts with the classical oval dial of exquisite, intense, velvety Sleeping Beauty turquoise, framed by sapphires in color gradation.

The third cuff in white gold evokes a frosty landscape, patterned with delicate ice crystals that creep over a dramatic dial of black opal, flashing with green and blue lights, echoed in the frame of graduated emeralds.

I have always been a huge fan of cuff watches and find these models incredibly beautiful.

My Look: Last Days of Winter

No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn. Make those last days of winter count. Regardless of where you live, welcoming the spring season is something out of a dream. It is just a little bit closer to the yearly summer solstice that so many of us look forward to. I enjoyed the winter season at my beloved Gstaad Palace, where we took those photos outside the spa.

My look: Glitter jumpsuit (Look 21 F/W 2021), cardigan with neon pink thread (S/S 2020), tweed bag with chain logo (S/S 2020), chain creole earrings (S/S 2021), pearl necklace, sunglasses with chains, black pearl necklace with smiley emoji (F/W 2016), white headband with camellia (S/S 1995), fur boots (F/W 2021), and Limelight Gala watchicon by Piaget.

My Look: What To Buy Now

What to buy now? A question I get often asked. Times have changed. It is not always about the newest trends. Brands are launching re-editions and the second hand market is booming. Shopping in a more conscious and sustainable way has become important to many of us instead of just spending on whatever just hit the shelves.

If you invest in great quality and some designer pieces, you will enjoy those for many years to come. Here you see me in New York City for the launch party of PIAGET‘s new POLO S watches. My look consists of vintage pieces like my CHANEL bag that I got for my 18th birthday along with the dress from Gucci’s S/S 2016 runway collection (Look 39).

My look: Multicolored lace embroidered dress, beaded necklace, and Molina turquoise lip pumps, all by Gucci, quilted lambskin mini vintage classic flap bag by CHANELLimelight Gala watchicon, rose diamond ringicon and rose diamond necklaceicon, all by Piaget.

My Look: Party

It’s weekend – time to party, I miss those carefree days when we were dancing the night away. Dancing is literally my favorite thing to so and the best way to burn of those fondue calories. Unfortunately, Gstaad Palace‘s famous GreenGo hasn’t opened its doors this season (only for me to take these photos). So I can only dream how I would dress up to be a dancing queen.

My look: Belted silk-cady wide-leg jumpsuit, and VSLING small floral-print textured-leather shoulder bagicon, both by Valentino, Angel leather platform sandals by Gucci, black bow brooch by CHANEL,  silver-tone crystal clip earringsicon by Alessandra Rich, and rose diamond ring by Piaget.

My Look: Happy New Year 2022

Happy New Year 2022 to everyone! May all your troubles last as long as your New Year’s resolutions!

I started the New Year very well at Gstaad Palace. To have less stress that night, I took the photos of my look at the Dolder Grand in Zurich before I left for the mountains. I hope that you will like my sparkly golden outfit.

My Look: Sequined silk-blend satin cape, and matching ruched sequined tulle midi dressicon, both by Monique Lhuillier, Odette lace pumps in rosa by Jimmy Choo, gold bar clutch by CHANEL, silver-tone, crystal and faux pearl clip earrings by Alessandra Rich, and rose diamond ring by Piaget.

My Look: Cheesy

I know I got your attention at «cheesy». Fashion should be fun and not be taken too seriously! This yellow Prada sweater got the internet talking and let’s be frank, it resembles Swiss cheese that is known for its distinctive appearance with several holes. However, I find it very fashion-forward and extremely cool especially when worn together with the matching black open-knit sweater. Being proudly Swiss, I love cheese and I adore this Prada look so much. It was actually my favorite from the S/S 2021 collection and it is also very «Pantone Color of the Year 2021». With Central European weather going crazy at the moment, it is the perfect outfit at the moment.

In case your wondering about the placement of the bow brooch… one hole is placed a little unfortunate revealing a little too much in movement.

My look: Distressed logo-intarsia sweater in yellowicon, distressed open-weave wool sweater in black, belted pleated mohair-blend skirticontwo-tone slingback pumps, and Re-Nylon scrunchie, all by PradaConstance 24 in Evercolor Lime with palladium hardware by Hermès, satin bow brooch by CHANEL, rose diamond ring by PiagetCarrera Automatic Chronograph by TAG HeuerCameo embellished earrings, and faux pearl and crystal barrette, both by Simone Rocha.

My Look: My Way

Let’s all celebrate a «Feel Good Fashion Friday». All our experiences define who we are, right now we live through challenging times, let’s make the best out of it and feel good about it. I like to do things my way. For me, that is the beauty of getting older, you have discovered who you are and follow your own path. Fashion always gives me comfort and happiness, no matter what. I love to dress up, even at home. Why not spend a day in bed looking fabulous in silk and feathers. Add a beautiful fragrance which can be one of the most memorable experiences. I like to link moments in time to scents. Right now I am what I live, and that’s MY WAY.

My look: Feather-trimmed printed silk-twill shirticon, and matching printed silk-twill wide-leg pantsicon, both by Valentino, Cabaraparis small leather-trimmed embellished printed neoprene toteicon, and Hot Chick Paris pumps, both by Christian Louboutin, rose diamond ring and rose diamond earrings, both by Piaget.
My fragrance: MY WAY by Giorgio Armani (more coming up tomorrow, stay tuned).

The New Way of Watch Shopping

Starting from today, NET-A-PORTERicon and MR PORTER will be the privileged multi-brand online retailers of Watches & Wonders, a global concept that celebrates watchmaking excellence throughout the world. Hosting digital and offline events, this concept will bring some of the industry’s most revered luxury watch brands to the online shopping destination’s extensive customer base, starting from today. Fourteen watchmaking Maisons will feature as part of this initiative, together for the first time.

A great example for a super informative masterclass for Net-à-Porter’s EIP clients last June.

Over the course of the campaign, NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER customers will be able to enjoy a calendar of activity, including exclusive EIP (Extremely Important Person) virtual events and small-scale appointment-based activity, virtual one-to-one appointments and interactive Instagram Live conversations hosted by NET-A-PORTER and PORTER’s Editor in Chief, Sarah Bailey, and MR PORTER’s Senior Watch Editor, Chris Hall.

In anticipation of the celebrated campaign, and in response to extensive customer research across both retailers, NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER will also introduce a number of new website enhancements to the luxury watch shopping experience, including an improved size guide and the addition of trend-driven, occasion-based and material filters. Further developments will follow in the near future.

One of my favorite watches that I got at Net-à-Porter: Panthère de Cartier Manchette 22mm 18-karat rose gold and diamond watchicon by Cartier

The arrival of Watches & Wonders on NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER marks a significant moment for the industry, bringing together the leading watch and jewellery players, and establishes the luxury retailers as the ultimate global shopping destinations for fine watches. Following on from the Watches & Wonders digital platform that occurred on NET-A-PORTER’s Tmall flagship store in April, this new initiative marks the beginning of a year-long programme and showcases a unique tri-fold industry approach to the fast-evolving luxury watch landscape.

With Alison Loehnis at a Net-à-Porter event

«By teaming up with the world’s premier watch showcase, we want to provide an international platform for the most exceptional timepieces, supporting an environment where their stories – and those of their iconic makers – can come alive and be accessed by watch lovers across the globe
Alison Loehnis, President, NET-A-PORTER & MR PORTER

NET-A-PORTERicon will introduce the latest creations from Cartier, Hermès, IWC Schaffhausen, Jaeger LeCoultre, Piaget and Vacheron Constantin.

Bovet’s limited-edition Dimier Recital 27 Green that will launch at Mr Porter.

MR PORTER will host a curated offering of the most recent creations from across 13 prestigious watch Maisons including Cartier, HYT and Panerai, and will introduce two new brands: Ulysse Nardin and Bovet. Ulysse Nardin will launch with eight timepieces, including the Blast Rose Gold; Bovet will launch with four timepieces, including the limited-edition Dimier Recital 27 Green.

Another beauty in my closet shopped at Net-à-Porter: Royal Oak 37mm 18-karat frosted rose gold watch by Audemars Piguet

Personally speaking, I love being an EIP at Net-à-Porter. The personal shopping department is divine and the events I have been invited to were always superb. I bought two watches for myself and I am super happy with the service provided by my favorite online retailer.

My Look: Call Me!

Call me a true fashion lover. This look has become one of my favorites of the season, exaggerated houndstooth pattern, combined with a logo print cape and my new Hermès Himalaya Birking bag which is considered the holy grail in a handbag collection. It is crafted from Nile crocodile hide. The name «Himalaya» is inspired by the delicate gradation of the colour that is resembling the majestic, snow-capped mountains. The process of dyeing the leather is exponentially more difficult as the shades lighten. It takes a lot of time and craftsmanship. I feel blessed to call one my own.

My look: Wool-jacquard cape by Gucci, bow-detailed houndstooth wool-blend sweater and houndstooth jacquard-knit shorts, both by Alexander McQueen, T-Rex shearling-lined logo-print coated canvas and leather ankle boots by Fendi, set of two silver-tone and crystal hair slides by Saint Laurent, sunglasses by CHANEL, rose diamond ring by Piaget and Himalaya Niloticus crocodile Birkin bag by Hermès.

My Look: Kiss a Frog

«Sometimes you gotta kiss a frog to find a prince» and if you do, please do it in style. Nicky Zimmermann says if she wasn’t a designer, she’d be a florist, which explains all the beautiful botanical patterns in her collections that I adore so much. Made from breathable linen it is the perfect choice for not having an attack of sweating when Mr. Right is standing in front of you.

My look: Verity cropped grosgrain-trimmed floral-print linen top and matching Verity cropped grosgrain-trimmed floral-print linen flared pantsicon, both Zimmermann, embellished PU pumpsicon by Stella McCartney, stingray clutch by Alaïachoker with evil eye symbol and long pearl necklace, both by Chanel, embellished square butterfly sunglasses by Celinegold-plated Swarovski crystal clip earrings by Dolce & Gabbana, diamond bracelet by Vainard Fine Jewellery, rose diamond ring by PiagetTonda 1950 clarity watch by Parmigiani Fleurier.
