Ana Hard x Olympia Le-Tan

Loud, fun, bold, dreamy and even nasty, dive into the world of Ana Hard. The creative designer from Bilbao, Spain, collaborated with Olympia Le-Tan on these four fun bag styles.

«I love details, I think everything is about details», she says. «Small hidden things that have the power to make life more beautiful.»

Personally speaking, I love those clutches – especially the Nasty Women Book Club. So much fun… and all come in limited editions of 77 each.

My Look: Girls’ Night

I am so happy that finally restaurants are allowed to open at least their outdoor terraces. Switzerland has been pretty soft in terms of lockdown compared to other countries. However, bars, night clubs and indoor restaurants are still closed. I miss my girls’s night out so much, dressing up and enjoying a great evening is something that makes me happy. As I think that it will still take a while, I already planned wearing boots. Just choking, or probably not.

Barbie™ x Olympia Le-Tan

Founded in 2009, the brand Olympia Le-Tan is well known for its creation of originals handbags and minaudières, which are a combination of embroidery and French savoir faire.

For the S/S 2021 collection, Barbie™ is the cover girl of Olympia Le-Tan’s book-inspired clutches. Borrowing imagery from the archive of Mattel, the gilded hard cases are covered in canvas and skillfully embroidered and appliquéd to mimic the doll’s iconic features in all sorts of situations. They are also threaded with a special limited edition number at the back, plus ©2021 Mattel.

Pair them with your favorited dress and statement heels to complete the look. Don’t forget what Barbie teached us: «You can be anything you want

My Look: Still Under Construction

Quick stop in Zurich to check on the construction of our new house. As you can see, there is still so much to do. It is a fun project and I am enjoying the whole process. It is similar to my Mondrian-inspired clutch, it’s like a puzzle that comes together piece by piece. My Dior jumpsuit is also such a great and versatile item that you can dress up or down depending on the occasion.

My look: Black mink vest, black jumpsuit, D-cameo choker, and Arty cap with veil, all by Dior, Mondrian embroidered appliquéd canvas clutch by Olympia Le-Tan, and Circus Nana 100 lace-up leopard-print calf hair platform ankle boots by Christian Louboutin.

Year of the Ox

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2021 is the Year of the Ox. The Chinese New Year will start on February 12th, and it will last until January 31st of 2022. Many designers are celebrating Lunar New Year of the Ox with special collections, such as Gucci is featuring the famous Manga character Doraemon, the cat-type robot sent from the XXII century, appearing on ready-to-wear and accessories, or Moschino is showing a cute ox with the slogan «in love we trust».

In the Chinese Zodiac, the Ox is very hardworking and methodical. The upcoming 2021 will be the year of the Metal Ox, and its message couldn’t be clearer: Success will come to those who work hard. Like really hard! 2021 is going to be a year when work will get rewarded. Cheers to that!

My Look: This is My Love

Fashion – this is my love. Classically inspired – masterfully staged – just like the beautiful Maestro Suite at The Dolder Grand hotel in Zurich that is an homage to music and Herbert von Karajan housed in the tower of the Main Building over two floors. My favorite part during my stay was playing the Steinway grand piano – the second of only three ever made jubilee replicas based on the first Steinway B211 grand built in 1836.

I hope you like my outfit that would be perfect for a New Year’s Eve party, don’t you think?

Monopoly Statement Bags

Olympia Le-Tan

Olympia Le-Tan‘s novel-themed felt clutch bags managed to make book lovers out of even non-literary types. Now the Paris-based designer returns with a new series of classics for Pre-fall 2018 to covet: the Monopoly collection.

In collaboration with the iconic board game, everything from the luxe «blue» properties to the «Go to Jail» square (and the requisite «Get out of Jail Free» card) have been transformed into chic, limited edition handbags (each is numbered). Note the update to her 7” square top handle, now with suede edging.

I am in love…
